I got the Tiguan back in September, and in March it got a flat tire, I call the Service department, he said he was going to order it, and he never did... On top of that, after changing the tires from Winter to Summer, the tire sensor never turned off and as of today it's still on. The slider of the sunroof didn't want to work one day and we had to leave the sunroof open, the infotainment screen not always turn on...And it's May 14, and I haven't received any calls from them. I called the VW Service Line, they advised to call another dealer in town, I called the Hunt Club location, no one answers, the appointment scheduler doesn't work... So, all this to say, if you buy a VW, be prepared to have hard times.

I always wanted to own a VW for as long a I can remember. They are built well, actually over built and engineered "supposedly" and never gave it a second thought that this vehicle would be unsafe for my family to tour in. Couldn't have been more wrong. I realize this is just one bad review out of hundreds or maybe thousands of positive good reviews out there but sometimes all it takes is just one. but please don't let my review deter you away from purchasing a VW. This has simply been my experience with "Taylor Creek VW" and the vehicle itself. 1) The sales person was a very polite person indeed, however at times made me very uncomfortable. Pushing things on me that I did not want, telling me that you don't want this your better off with that. Believe it or not I wanted an Atlas and I was told it was probably to expensive for me. Now at this time the sales person wasn't even aware of my budget, so who are they to dictate to me what I can and can not afford!!! After the purchase and pick up of the Tiguan, it wasn't long after that things started to happen. And I also realized there was a fare bit of information that was not passed down to me about the Tiguan that I had to learn for myself, simple basic information that any sales person should immediately tell you. 2) I have had nothing but computer and electrical problems with the Tiguan. The driver assist will come on whenever it wants and actually slows me down almost causing accidents, the info screen has a mind of it's own, it will turn on and off and change settings and radio stations all on it's own. I went to lower the back seat's using the pull handle's in the boot and the left handle broke right of in my hand and the wire was pulled out. The sales person never told me when they showed me this feature that the pull straps on the side of the back seats themselves actually work to put the seats down, they told me that the pull straps on the side of the seats were to put the back seats in there upright position again. And now believe it or not the tranny is slipping, this started the other day. must tell them this today. which brings me to number 3. 3) Service Department. I have never seen such a group of unhappy, unfeeling and uncaring people before. Stone cold look on there faces with no expressions what so ever. Makes it really uncomfortable. But then again I'm not the happiest person in the world either, so tit for tat I guess. I know the part for my info screen is there they told me and they left a message asking me to call them back to book an appointment to get the Tiguan in which I did. That was three weeks ago and No one has returned my call. Now remember when I wrote about the back seat latch breaking off in my hand. Well I got so pissed off I drove down to the service department at Taylor Creek VW and expressed in my anger out loud just how frustrated I really was. Now I'm assuming it was the head of the service department that came to speak with me and my son who was with me at the time to diffuse what I was escalating (yes I said what I was escalating / I'm on permanent disability due to severe mental health) The gentleman speaking with my son and I helped I would say the best he could but made me think that what I was telling him was no fault of others but my own. I had even explained to him about the vehicles computer system turning on the ACC while I was on the highway and slowing me down from 105kmh to 79kmh with other vehicles behind me almost becoming a permanent fixture to back end. At that time it had only happened the one time, it has now happened a few more times since then. I had purchased a very good extended warranty which includes a rental vehicle. I figured that the service advisors would have pulled the vehicle off the road and provided me with a rental until such time the computer issue and all were figured out??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? Never again will I purchase a WV and will most likely take a serious hit on the negative equity scale when I trade it for a Ford. And as for the staff at VW who read these reviews please do not respond to me with your usual "I'm sorry for the inconvenience this has caused but our staff isn't to blame etc, etc, etc" Take ownership with the fact you all sold me a lemon and for the blatant disregard for the SAFETY OF MY FAMILY AND THE OTHE MOTORISTS!!!!!!!!!!!! This Tiguan should be a TOTAL RECALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! as far as I'm concerned. Thank you for taking the time to read the world's longest YELP review. The following week they told me that my alternator needed to be replaced at a cost of $1136.50 with taxes it comes to $1284.25. I then went on YouTube and learned that an older model Nissan's, if the air conditioner compressor is removed, you run the risk of a leakage or damaging the compressor. I then called the Garage and expressed my concerns about my air conditioner compressor to Jonathan. I asked Jonathan to remove the rad fans and the radiator and and do the job that way. He informed me that the Mechanic did not want to do it that way and wants to remove the compressor for my air-conditioning. I really receive my car back on 7 July 2026 and as I drove home, I noticed the air conditioner, getting warmer and warmer. I called the garage and the Mechanic informed me to go in on the following Friday which was 31 July. At that time the Mechanic put a full can of air-conditioning gas into my car and my car began blowing cold air but the closer I came to home the hotter it got . So I called the Mechanic as soon as I got home and he told me to bring it in on Wednesday July 5, 2026. Now during my conversation with Jonathan he guaranteed me that at the end of this process I would have air-conditioning and it would be no issues. The Garage charged me another $226 to inform me that my compressor for my air-conditioning is no longer functioning and that they would repair it for a cost of $1400. Meanwhile, they had my car locked in the garage and I knew they were not gonna give me back my car unless I paid the $226 so I did I would like to know exactly what caused my compressor to fail. I would like to know why you didn't follow my instructions to remove the rad fans and radiator and remove the alternator without touching the compressor to my air conditioning. You decided to do it your way and now the compressor no longer works. I would like you to respond to this letter before I have to take further action. A response is requested. I was guaranteed by Jonathan that when the repair work was done my air conditioner would be operational. It is now not operational and I cannot get into my car when it's hot having a spinal cord injury, which does not allow me to travel in a heated car without the air conditioning, I cannot travel in my own car. If a reply is not received I will be contacting Consumer and Corporate affairs I have already contacted the Better Business Bureau and they are waiting on your response.I will take this to court if necessary !!!

On November 17, my wife informed me that the front wipers on her 2024 Hyundai Venue were not…read moreworking. On November 18, I called two Ottawa area Hyundai dealerships telling them of this problem (the car is under full warranty and has 17,000 km on it). One of them told me that the earliest they could see me was November 26 and the other told me that December 5 was the first spot they had. When I told them that, in Ontario, if a car does not have functioning windshield wipers, it is not legal to be driven, they told me that it was unfortunate but those dates were the best they could do. 8 days for a warrantied problem that made the car unsafe to drive! I was LIVID! On a whim, I decided to call Harmony Hyundai in Rockland... since I live in Orleans, it was relatively close. I spoke with Shane in service at 8:45 am on November 19. He told me that their service department was very busy with seasonal tire changes and oil changes but that, in his eyes, my problem was urgent. He told me he could take my car at 11 the same morning. I got there at 10:45 and left my keys with Shane. While I was waiting, I spoke with two other gentlemen who were also there getting their Hyundai vehicles serviced and they had only glowing comments. I told these men that, since Shane had "squeezed me in", I fully expected that this might take several hours since they had already been fully booked. I was OK with that and just happy that I had found a dealership that would even look at the car in a timely fashion. At 11:37 am, Shane brought me my keys and told me that the problem had been a simple fix (a nut had worked itself loose) and that they had re-torqued it and that my car was ready to go. When I got to my car, I checked and the wipers were working fine. I also noticed that they had washed my car. Before calling Harmony Hyundai, my faith in Hyundai dealer service was about zero. After my experience at Harmony, I know that at least one dealership knows what the word "Service" means. In the future, all of my dealings with Hyundai will be with Harmony. Within a year or two, I will be looking for a vehicle to replace my aging 2013 Ford F-150. I am 100% certain that I will be going to Harmony Hyundai for that vehicle.
