It as only when we went to Books a Million, did we notice the new location for Yancy. I am not a Comic Book Enthusiast, but my beau is, so we went inside. There is SO MUCH in this store that is NOT comics that it was amusing to me. Yes, they have your comics, but they also they have a lot of adjunct stuff. Do you collect statues? They have them. How about posters? Yep those too. Stuffies, toys of all manner? Yeah they've got that stuff.

The owner is super cool; he made me a sweet deal on an Amazing Spider-Man 121--I've been want to add the Gwen Stacy Death story to my collection for some time. Oh, and the owner also let me go in the back to hunt down a few Golden Age comics. And finally, the Thing is my favorite superhero, so the name Yancy Street just strikes home for me. When it comes to scoring sweet comic books, Yancy Street Comics brings the "Clobberin Time."

This place is a hidden gem, the owner is super cool and has such a great selection of books,…read morecomics, some records, magazines, instruments and more . The prices are amazing too. Not only is this place cool they have serious history in there on those shelves. They have books from the early 1900s, 1800's and I think late 1700s too if I'm not mistaken. Just seeing them and being able to touch them is such a cool experience, i was blown away . Definitely go show some support and pick up some books and help support this awesome business.

CoC have a good selection of new and used comics as well as figurines, cards, books, and more. There were also a few tables set up where a number of people were playing games (maybe D&D but I'm not sure). I perused the new and used issues and didn't find any of the specific issues I was looking for so I ended up purchasing two Comic Book Grab Packs for $7.99 each. Each package includes 10 comics and I wanted to get something. They also have a stamp card in which you get a stamp for every $10 spent and once you collect 10, you get $10 off your next purchase.

He helped my nephew choose the perfect box of football cards and was all in when we went thru his top pulls after opening - thank you again, Joe! He was so knowledgeable and patient with us both, since neither of us know anything about vintage comic books. We both learned a tremendous amount today from Dennis and are so incredibly grateful for having someone like him in our community. His store is amazing and if you haven't been there yet for comics or collectibles, you want to go by and check it out! If you want to learn anything about comic books, he is definitely the person to go to!

Big store with tons of selections…read more I was nervous from pictures that this would be all comic books. I was a little relieved when we pulled up and there was a sign that included toys. We were here on a very specific mission, one son was looking for ghostbusters toys and the other was looking for pokemon cards. One of the employees told us that they get the most calls from people looking for pokemon cards. So I don't bury the lead, they don't have just packs of pokemon cards, but they do have a set that includes multiple packs for $60. We ended up getting that for my older son and I've been giving him a pack every couple of days. I was little nervous about our mission to find ghostbuster stuff. There were tons of star wars stuff and a lot of funko figurines. We did find ghostbuster funko figures, but that wasn't really what we were looking for. Eventually after walking around a bit, we did find three small ghostbuster items. I think they're meant to be kept on a desk, but my son has been playing with them like they're toys. I haven't seen ghostbusters so I'm not going to describe this well, but they are items to track and then trap ghosts. He was ecstatic that we found them, so mission accomplished. If you're looking for comic books then this is heaven. If you're looking for specific toys, it may be hit or miss, but for us it was a hit. This is definitely a place worth checking out.

WRONG…read more If your into Magic The Gathering like our family is and you live in Tampa and haven't been to Nerdy Needs , I highly recommend getting your self there straight away Late Saturday night when we walked in we were greeted promptly and we asked if MTG singles were sold there , the Gentleman said " Of course " and took us back to the Singles area Where we ran into two of the most excellent helpful Gentlemen I can't begin to explain how happy I was walking out with over 85% of my current deck project in my hands Will be back soon , Thank You
