This place has to be the only or atleast the closest authentic Mexican restaurant in all of lake havasu. The ambiance was great, lots of art work and really cool neon lights. The tacos m with queso were bombbbb! Very large in size, very crispy, with lots of meat in them. The service was great, friendly and fast. The only think that was missing was seeing a large station for salsas and other sides. read more

Food was great and done quickly, only one order ahead of us. Never had birria tacos with cheese before but that's how the "Pinche" tacos come. For six tacos and two 6oz sides of rice it was over $30, a little on the pricey side. I've had better rice, but it was still good. The tacos were the star. It was too hot to eat inside (85 degrees), so we took it home. We will definitely be back, but just for the tacos and we will be bringing them home to eat. read more

This is what Havasu needed! A proper taco spot. The Pinche Tacos (Queso Birria) taste like the ones in LA. I got the loaded fries as well and they hit! Staff was full of smiles. Vibe is modern American Taqueria. This is a must if you are in Havasu. 5 min from the Bridge. read more

Liked this spot. Food was good. No alcohol sold her. We didn't know what to expect actually. Service is on the gal at the register. Very bland personality. Pretty much reminds of a fast food joint. When food was ready its place on the pick up area and customers pick their food up there. I had the taquitos(good). Husband has a burrito (huge but bland). Expensive in our opinion. I do think it's a spot that everyone does have to give it a try and decide for themselves. This place has a lot of good responses. read more

Was about to go to one of the usual places for breakfast burritos (Humbertos/Filibertos/Rilibertos...) But I have been dissatisfied in general with these places the past few times. Got on Yelp to find a new place and this was the one that came up. It's conveniently located in the Safeway shopping center, so parking is plentiful. Inside seating seems adequate (I ordered my food to go but the people sitting down to eat had plenty of tables to choose from). Service was quick even though there was a small line of people waiting to order. I had the Chilaquiles (green sauce with fried egg with Carne Asada) that was mild enough for my "too-many-days-on-the-lake-drinking" stomach. Also, the portion was so big that I could only eat half, and had enough for a full breakfast the next day. I also ordered a chorizo burrito and a breakfast burrito with bacon. Those were eaten by my friends, who marveled at not just the size, but the flavor. All were pleasantly surprised that there were potatoes inside the huge burritos. I think I have found a new go-to spot whenever I'm in Havasu and need a good Mexican joint. read more

Wow!! What a great place. A small Little hole in the wall in a strip mall and this place is better than any in SoCal. I had 2 Birria tacos and some beans with a Horchata. Outstanding all around. Good food but not too many options. If you want quick Mexican food that is better than any Bertos, this is great. A little pricy compared to a some Mexican food places nearby but I would say the food quality and taste makes up for it. Being from San Diego, I love me some street tacos. This place happens to be the only taco joint in Lake Havasu that has great tacos like I remember in SD & LA. The Pinche Taco is my favorite... quesa birria style. The staff always serves with a smile. Location is good for locals and visitors being right by the channel. The only drawback is that they don't serve beer, but don't let that deter you from getting a load of tacos for your boat ride or channel party. read more

Amazing, authentic and tasty Mexican food. Between us adults and kids we got the pinche tacos, chicken taco, chicken quesadilla and bean and cheese burrito, plus chips and guac. The food is so flavorful, the meat so well seasoned.. the birria hit the spot . Highly recommend this place! The staff is also very nice and the drinks are great (horchata and hibiscus drink). We ordered the Pinche Tacos, pastor street tacos & elote. The pinche tacos and consomé were delicioso. Birria was on point made natural no red coloring added. Consomé was the best I ever had. Not salty or red. The elote was so good, cob was cut in round pieces topped with queso, chile and cilantro perfect bite. All the food chefs kiss! The tacos here are delicious! The food came fast and it was super hot (temperature). There are 3 salsas you can add but they don't need anything else. I got the Birria taco and the asada. Both had fantastic flavor. We also got chips and salsa. The salsa was very mild which was good since you can add more hot sauce if you want. The service was fast and the prices were reasonable. I need to find somewhere like this close to my home! The restaurant is small but it was empty when we went on a Saturday night for dinner. read more

The staff are always very friendly and welcoming. When you walk in they have a cute photo area in the back and the tacos are AMAZING!! Street corn was flavorful with a great kick. They do charge for chips and salsa. Beans were a direct miss- from the can. I figure if you're going to ultra chop the taco meat, why not make home made beans. Service was great, staff nice and friendly. My husband's burrito was cold and the meat was way overcooked. The egg on the enchilada was way underdone. The taco was already soggy and falling apart by the time it got to the table. And absolutely worst of all was the tamale. I'm not kidding when I say it was HARD AS A ROCK. I don't even know how you overcook a tamale that badly, but somehow they managed it. We were starving, so I ate the cold, hard enchilada and that was about it. The rice was overcooked, the beans were cold... honestly, everything about this experience at the new location was just incredibly underwhelming. The margaritas were good, but unfortunately that's about the only positive thing I can say. We paid the bill and left. The waitress offered to comp my meal, and I just shrugged and told her not to bother, but if she wanted to take the rock-hard tamale off the bill, she could. And she did, so kudos for that. But a $150 dinner for subpar service and cold, mostly inedible food is definitely NOT on my "I'll be back" list. I'm really hoping they were just having an off night for everyone else's sake because we have always loved the old location. But this experience was just BAD!

However, after covid, the food and service went downhill and we finally gave up and hadn't been there for over 5 years. Yesterday I saw an ad that they'd be having food and drink specials for Cinco De Mayo today and decided we'd try again. Bad decision. We arrived at 10:30am. Fewer than a quarter of the tables were occupied. It appeared that all of the booth seating had been removed, which we prefer. We were instructed to seat ourselves, but couldn't find a table that didn't appear "sticky". We sat and then waited and waited and waited. Eventually they took our drink order and gave us a menu. There was no indication on signs or menus of ANY Cinco De Mayo specials, nor did our hurried waitress mention any. Had we not ordered a paid drink, we'd have left after seeing the new menu prices. The new clay drink cups were very bulky, cumbersome and did not sit flat on the tables. As someone with arthritis in my hands, I found them very difficult to lift. No one brought chips and we'd all but decided they must not be serving them at all. After about 15 minutes a gentleman brought chips to our table. There was literally 10 chips in the bottom of a basket for us to split. Long after we'd finished them, the man returned and asked if we wanted more. I said yes, but he never returned. Twice during our visit, we saw him run over to Food City to pick up supplies to bring back. It was another long wait before our meal was served and by this time the lunch crowd had started arriving. It got quite busy and we couldn't even get refills for our water glasses while we waited. Meanwhile, we saw a guy that appeared to be an owner/manager chatting with guests. He never came to our table, nor did he jump in to help when lines were forming at the register or when tables needed bussing for arriving guests. It took approximately 40 minutes to get our food while being inundated by smoke fumes from the kitchen and paint fumes from their apparent remodel. When the food finally arrived, we were not impressed by the portion size for the price. It was $12 for a mini chimi (no beans or rice) and was the size of a half burrito. Nothing else. It tasted ok, but was definitely not worth the price and it was quickly finished. We then waited again for the bill. The waitress picked up our plates and twice came by saying she'd be "right back" with the bill. She wasn't. Once we finally got the bill, we had to stand in line at the register and wait yet again. What happened to the Cinco De Mayo specials and why were they so unprepared??? Being a Mexican restaurant, this was your day to shine! This visit was incredibly stressful for us and we felt that they were extremely unorganized. It will be AT LEAST another 5 years before we try again.

This place is a taco lover's dream! I always get their Asada queso tacos, and they are absolutely phenomenal--perfectly cooked, cheesy, and packed with flavor.
