I would absolutely not advise anyone to use this agent. She came to my house, quoted me my insurance price, I signed up, and then suddenly I was being charged $35 more dollars a month that I was quoted. When I called to ask about it she said it was because I bought a new car at the beginning of my policy so it has new premiums and that it would go down the next month. The following month I was charged again the additional $35. I called again to ask about it. Lacey was quick to say that someone else in her office had explained it wrong.....except it was Lacey who sat in my kitchen and explained it. She told me I would get a better deal by adding a life insurance policy. So I did. But when she stated this she made it sound like I would be paying $54 a month for both. Sounded like a good deal. But what she failed town to mention was that the $54 she kept talking about was ONLY for the auto part and that one the life policy stayed I would be paying $89 total. My goal of switching was to save money....she worded as such that I thought that is what I would be doing. When this finally came to light after numerous calls in which a girl named Meghan in her office was the only help, I said to cancel my life policy. Keeping it was saving me a whopping $3 per month on my auto while charging about $35 extra for the life policy. It was a bogus deal that I was sold under completely false information. The following month I was AGAIN charged the wrong amount. When I called to ask about this I was told that Lacey forgot to cancel my life policy. So once again the money came from my bank account. Lacey wanted to call me to talk about it and make things better so I agreed to a call the following day. When she called she had not one bit of professionalism about her call. She called to tell me about all the personal stuff going on her life that was causing her to make these mistakes. I'm not unsympathetic to anyone having life issues, we all go through stuff. That doesn't make it ok to show up to an office you supposed are the expert of and cost people money for having signed up with you. When I stated this to her she just continued to want to argue about the matter. She is unprofessional and a flat out liar. She is what gives insurance sales people their greasy stereotype. Thankfully I was able to talk to some State Farm supervisors at their main number who agreed with my decision to file a complaint and help me sort out the situation. I have a new agent now who seems to be of a more upstanding demeanor and I am happy State Farm was able to remove the tarnish that Lacey placed on my view of their business. I am still waiting on a refund for the money that she basically tricked me into spending. You can call the BBB to learn more as I will be filing a complaint there as well. So at State Farm has had great rates and their people on the main office number have been great. I just recommended looking into agents other than Lacey Mitchell. read more
