I think that the salespeople at the store need to be informed of the policy when a defective item is sold from their store and the return requires shipping, which should be free. When I called the 800 line, the response was swift and the store followed through on issuing a refund immediately. It was clearly a misunderstanding on the part of people who were trying to do their best. I love all of the clothes I bought at the store and would shop there again.

My Mom didn't see anything she wanted to exchange her items for, so she asked for a return. The old white woman (Nicole) asked my Mom for her zip code despite the fact that she had a receipt. Nicole could barely complete the transaction due to her poor computer skills. My sister and I called them out on their racism and micro aggressions. Nicole actually tired to walk behind us as we were leaving in a threatening manner. She also referred to my sister as "sir" and misgendered her twice. Luckily, she stopped herself. These store employees at these faux fancy spots need to get it together. You're a clerk at a damn store trying to be racist. Please.

The people at the store I went to were very nice (and helpful!), so I didn't mind spending the extra cash for the stuff I needed. If you want something good that will last long, you'll probably buy it here! Unfortunately, I started to notice in the past 6 months their hours have been inconvenient (closed on Mondays?!?!). Their store was also placed inconveniently. There were a handful of farms around and it looked like the owners of them were rich, like in a fancy accent "I don't want that stuff. Custom made tack for me, please!" rich. I would have liked it closer to the small family farms (for riding, of course!) or a show or something. There was also the scary black (but very cool!) electric horse in the back of the store near the saddles. It's name is STU (Saddle Testing Unit) it looked like it would be a smooth ride even though I've never used it. (Bet you that not many tack stores have that! Well, I don't know I've only ever gone to this store.) Last, if you're a rewards member and need to shop for riding gear, run to the nearest Horsatack!! They are closing in the USA by 2012 or sooner (oh no!!!). For reward members, they sent a $10 discount mail/letter/coupon towards anything you want to buy while in the store plus the 'going out of business' sale is on too. Happy reviews and riding!

Out of all the tack shops in the area, Horsatack isn't the the biggest, or the swankiest, or even…read morenecessarily the cheapest. It is, however, the most convenient (for me, anyway). They have a decent selection of stuff like breeches, boots, tack, etc. There's also a smattering of books, treats, medical supplies and other random stuff. The prices aren't bad, and with the rewards card I've already gotten stuff like a free saddle pad and halter. You have to pay attention when they ring you up, though, because half the time the posted price and tag price don't match. My friend got overcharged by $30 for a pair of breeches last weekend, but they fixed it immediately when we saw the discrepancy and came back. Also, it's a UK-based company and the employees have hot British accents. I don't know why, but this somehow makes shopping there more fun. Oh, and speaking of fun, they have this mechanical horse--sort of like a mechanical bull--that you can ride to test saddles. Yeehaw!

I swore I'd never go in one of these stores but when you have kids things change. I did my Google…read moreresearch on all the bells and whistles, and watched YouTube BAB experiences to know what to expect. I signed up ahead online for the pay-your-age birthday offer. Then I prepped my kid for what we could and could not get before going in, so there would not be temptation for all the candy store-type extras they have to octuple base bear prices. I made sure we had plans for all the extras, out of existing stuff at home. If you add a voice box or scent you can't throw this thing in the washing machine. That's a no-go in my house, and we'd be allergic to the scent anyway, so my kid understood that part. If you need clothes, per Google, these bears fit preemie size clothes and Cabbage Patch clothes, and XS dog outfits, and a ton of other stuff you can use if you think outside the box. (We had a dinosaur dog costume waiting in the car for the bear and it fit perfectly!) For the bear-sized cars they sell? We had a ton of trucks in every scale at home and this bear got a tractor, dump truck, fire engine, and several other vehicles. The special armchairs? He fits kid chairs just fine. The minis that are supposed to be a stuffie for your stuffie? We've got (I'm underselling if anything) at least 400 stuffies and many are that mini size, enough for this bear to have an instant giant collection. For under $10, we got the base birthday bear, the fun experience of stuffing him, putting his fabric heart inside that you start pumping in your hands while making a wish, and then watched him get sewn up the back. Got to scrub him in the play tub, make a birth certificate, and got a party hat and take-home box. There was a sale happening and a huge line when we were there. I'm probably showing my generational age but I was surprised at how many older teens and adults frequent this store, and at least two separate 20-something men and a 30-something woman all by themselves getting bears, and all were more into the process of hugging the heart and making a wish than my elementary schooler. This store truly appeals to everyone. Staff were all professional but taxed from a long busy day. This visit (first experience) was a little rushed due to the line, and they skipped some of the bear-incarnation lore which we'd seen on YouTube experiences, but my son wasn't as into that so it was fine. The store is a bit dated, but the whole mall is suuuuper old and shabby. It's not a place I go if I can help it. Got in and out quickly enough and my kid is happy with the bear.

I had been to Cadence prior and was pretty much told that unless I had purchased one of THEIR bikes, there was nothing they could do for me!!! Anthony was fantastic at Trek. Got my bike tuned up and I ended up purchasing an expensive Thule bike rack and a bunch of accessories. He was knowledgeable and happy to help me any way he could as I was a newbie e-bike rider. Ardmore Trek ( and the entire staff) understand the lifetime value of a customer. Today's minor repair often leads to a future customer.
