Laddi's threaded my virgin eyebrows and it didn't hurt at all and I think it looks great! Depending on how unruly your brows are they charge up to $10 for males. I was charged $5 and it's definitely worth it. The place is quite nice and clean as well. The only weird thing is the line. You show up and tell them what you want done and you sit in the waiting area and the next available beauty tech calls for the next person. The clients are basically responsible for knowing who they came in after. They need a better system for queuing. read more

My friend has been going here for years because of the cheap price for brow threading. It used to be $3, but they have recently increased their prices to $5 and cash only. It's still insanely cheap though compared to other places. This place is in a plaza with good parking spaces. You need to walk around to get the main entrance. This is where it gets weird with the covid prevention practices. You can walk in and a random worker will check your temperature, but she checked it on my hand and not my forehead which is a little odd because the sensor won't touch your skin. Not sure how accurate that is. Customers tried their best to socially distance themselves, but the place is kinda cramped and there was no limiting how many people were allowed into the store. The store goes by an honour system on who goes first. Worker brought me to a chair and got to business right away. She didn't ask me how I'd like my brows, but did do them ok. She thread the head a little too thin, but overall ok. Not sure if I'm going to be back simply because of the cramped space and risk involved. If it wasn't for the virus, I'd definitely return though. read more

Oh Hello Laddi's ... where have you been all this time? I used to go to Fairview's Trade Secrets for $20 threading... insane! One of my friends told me to come here for $3 I was like there is no WAY this place is charging that low. Believe it Yelpers. I also agree that this place is disorganized - it's an honour system of who is before who. But people are pretty honest so you can figure it out. Although people say these ladies are friendly I don't really find that. They aren't rude - but they are more business like. Screaming "NEEEEXXXXXXXXXTTTTT!!!!!". Then they get to work. I usually go to whomever is offering their services, I don't have a particular lady. I've been pleased with every one of them. When I get my eyebrows down I go from a 5 to an 8. In mythical terms, that means I look like the Yeti transformed into a unicorn. This place has a group of women armed with thread to shape you at the ready. Threading is my weapon of choice vs. wax. I find it makes my eyebrows look natural and lets me add an arch to my brow. It's not the closest to me, but if you're able to get here then the fact it's $3 for eyebrow threading will appeal to you. The only time I've ever hit such a bargain is a brown auntie operating from home and this is a much better establishment. The wait time can get quite busy in the afternoon, so I'd recommend coming in the morning as there's never a line at that time. I haven't tried any of their other services so I can't really comment on anything else. read more

This is a good place for cheap waxing and threading. They do it fast and effectively. Obviously it's very busy on Fridays and Saturdays. They're closed on Mondays. I I got my haircut by them before and they did a good job. I wouldn't bother making an appointment for waxing or threading because they treat everyone who comes in like a walk in and you end up waiting in the line anyways. I booked an appointment once and had to wait near 45 minutes. . I get kind of annoyed when there's a bit of a wait and Laddi is sitting there on her phone. I have been visiting them over a year now. Recently the service has gone to the worst. I got my eyebrows threaded today and the aesthetician made a cut!!! near the eye area (photos enclosed). I'd say my experience here was decent. I would probably only come back for eyebrow threading. (1) The decor is nice, but atmosphere isn't very welcoming. All of the employees were busy having their own conversations when I walked in, and with it being my first time there, I had no clue what to do. (2) They only accept cash a form of payment - no debit or credit. I had asked the person assisting me about the acceptable forms of payment when I got in her chair, and she directed me the grocery store next door that had an ATM to withdraw cash. I incurred a $4 ATM fee for withdrawing the cash, and it just felt really sketchy. (3) Eyebrows were okay. They were fairly even, but she left the hair all over my face. Also, I'd say the service is fairly quick for threading (less than five minutes), and it's a little bit disappointing that during this short amount of time, the employee assisting me seemed distracted and was having detailed conversations with the other employees in the salon. (4) I got my sideburns waxed, and within the next few days I had broken out all over the side of my face - whiteheads and normal pimples. It took about a week to clear up, and I was pretty bummed out about it the entire time. I think it may have something to do with the fact that they double dip the wax (this is when the employee re-dips a used spatula back into the warm wax pot - so they use the same stick to spread the wax over your face that they've used with other people, and then they stick it back in the wax pot for next time... pretty gross). read more

I moved into Scarborough and needed to find new waxing spot. I found this great salon. They're very quick and make sure they get everything. They also provide facial waxing and threading, which is still provided with great service. They only accept cash, but I'm okay w that. Even if you forget to bring cash, there's an ATM machine in the convenience store right beside the salon. The only problem is that there is no system of which customer has come first, so there may be some confusion of who goes next (but I never had a problem w it because I keep track of who came after and I ask who came before me). Always satisfied when I get a Brazilian and full leg wax, and very affordable. read more

I've been going here for the past 15 years and they've rarely increased their pricing of the services. This makes it so affordable despite todays struggle to live in the GTA. I moved further away from Scarborough but still drive down to get my body wax and the price is still cheaper than any other place with the gas I spend to get to them. The price is just one thing, I once went to get a body wax elsewhere and spent 2 hours to complete it and hated it- not to mention it was double the price. These ladies are so efficient, 45 min for full body wax and it's done. Incredible! The place is very clean and hygienic for anyone whose concerned with that, they change the bedding paper and waxing popsicle between customers. For any newcomers: waiting area for eyebrows / face threading and waxing is the front of the store, and waiting for body waxing and hair styling is the back of the store. It's been 4 years since my first review, and I still go to Laddi's every two weeks for threading. The price is still the same at $3 for eyebrows and $5 for eyebrows + upper lip. Bring cash unless you want to visit the ATM in the convenience store next door. What is different, you may ask? This place is a LOT busier than it used to be, so much so that they renovated and now there is a more spacious seating area. Sometimes 1-3 people have to stand since there is no seating left. I really wish they adopt a system for organizing walk-ins, as everyone is persistently confused as to who came first and who is next in line. It can get a bit confusing, especially since most people want the first lady on the left and will skip their turn for her. I still haven't figured out why the first lady on the left is so popular - I don't notice a discernible difference, and she's rather brash with her movements. On busier days, you may have to wait up to 30 minutes for a chair to free up. I try to come during times where I don't expect it to be busy, as it'll be a maximum 5 minute wait. read more

I usually go to Trade Secrets but due to last minute plans, had to get my eyebrows done ASAP...so I read the reviews online and I have to admit for my first time they did an excellent job with my brows!!! which is really rare because not alot of people can do my brows nicely. The only reason why I never gave this a full 5 star is because their line up was very unorganized, you have to really know who you are behind or else other people would take your turn. I've been coming here for years and am always impressed with how fast and efficient the employees are. $3 threading $25 Brazilian And I can only assume everything else is just as cheap. You can't get these prices anywhere else. It's located in a plaza where the somosa king is (grab 5 for $1). In a plaza on middlefield and finch. Basically you just walk in and say threading, they point you to a seat and get to work. Done in 2 min with a fantastic job. Weekends are super busy so there may be a short wait time but if youre in a super rush just go during the weekday! Youre in and out in less than 5 min. If youre getting a wax down there, a Brazilian takes literally less than 5 min. Nothing worse than having someone doing that for more time than necessary, so these girls know what they're doing. Laddi's is located at middlefield and finch and shares a busy plaza with a bunch of other shops (including a popular Indian snacks place - Samosa King). Which means the parking lots gets busy and it's sometimes a headache getting in and out. However, the turnover for spots is usually quick. Just be a little patient. You will get a spot in no time if you're driving. You walk in- and the first thing you should do is count how many people are ahead of you in the waiting area. This is key, because there is no numbering system and you don't check in or anything. It's a queued system, so just wait until it's your turn and take a seat until you're up. The line usually goes quick. And we're all adults - it's simple, we can figure it out without numbers. I've only done eyebrows ($3), upper lip and face. I know they offer full body, and Brazilians, but no idea what the prices are for that stuff. However, brows and upper lip is one $5 bill. Seriously. Efficient, no frills threading or wax. You choose, but I see most elect for threading. It is what it is for $5.00. And at the end of the day, isn't that what you want? Efficient, quick service when you're getting your face groomed. I gotta say...THE PRICE IS RIGHT!! $3 for eyebrow threading...can't beat that! I've been twice to Laddi's now for eyebrow threading and I WILL BE BACK...again and again! This place offers affordable services & you are in and out relatively quickly! I used to get my eyebrows groomed at a place called MYNC in Yorkville and was paying $28.75 (with taxes) PLUS tip every 4 weeks!! MYNC did a great job on my eyebrows but they are TOO EXPENSIVE!! So, I began searching for a more affordable place and found Laddi's online. Laddi's is a no frills salon that does threading, waxing, hair cuts & colour, etc. It's a dated salon and is not fancy by any means. However, there are many salon staff that work there to meet the needs of the many customers that come in. This place is hopping with customers! Goes to show you that there are many happy return clients! There are several large cushiony couches as soon as you enter Laddi's. You are expected to just take a seat and wait your turn, Be sure to reminder who came in before and after you so that you are served in order...first come, first serve! An available salon staff will shout out "NEXT!" when it is time for them to take the next customer. If you don't want that staff member, allow the next person to go on ahead of you and walk up to the staff member that you do want and let her know you are waiting to see her. I am not sure if Laddi's takes appointments?! The reception area oddly is at the BACK of the salon. This is where you head to afterwards to pay for your services. I really liked the way that "Andila" threaded my brows. Her station is the one closest to the front entrance of the salon. She listened to me & did EXACTLY as I asked. The ladies that work at the salon are busy and don't have much time to chat with you, but they are fast and efficient. I am so happy that I have found this place to get my eyebrows threaded. I have already recommended it to my family and friends. In fact, my siser-in-law is headed there tomorrow to get her eyebrows threaded! I gave a 5 star rating because the price is SOOOOO affordable, and you are served within a reasonable time frame (within 10-15 minutes with no appointment) - and that's when the place is packed! read more

Service: Brazilian, Lower half leg, under arms waxing. I felt that this place needed a solid review from a super picky person. Mind you, I can count how many times I've gotten a wax done, and mostly I've just gone to a sugar waxing place. So I don't have a huge tolerance for pain. To start with, I loved that if you're there to get waxed, they take you to a separate waiting area in the back. That way you're not awkwardly getting up when they call you for a Brazilian in front the dude getting his brows done. My appointment wasn't honoured at the exact time, but I liked that they didn't totally disregard that I was first. The lady who did it for me was really nice, and made it comfortable. Each salon has a different method of getting it done, but this was not awkward at all. It hurt, but beauty is pain right? I would have been happier to see that all of my hairs were gone, but home girl still left a few for whatever reason.. and thats never happened when I get sugar waxed. There was a lot of wax residue left all over there too. Under arms no complaints. Legs were the same.. she missed a bunch of hairs. Conclusion: If you plan on getting waxed every 4-6 weeks then I recommend it, but if you need to be completely hairless for whatever event, you're gonna end up using a razor. I will not complain about the service. But I will complain about the fact that they overcharge and commit fraud by not telling the customers upfront that they will charge the same whether you wash and blow dry your hair or just style your hair. They charge me $45 which is the same price to either wash and dry or just flat iron . Knowing they would charge me the same price I would get my hair washed first. Unfortunately I will not be coming to the salon again and I advise those who are coming here to please either be ready to pay or clarify before getting their service. read more

Not a single spot was missed, the rooms are very clean, and they always check that it isn't too painful. Sticks and waxing strips change frequently, they go over their work, and are very efficient. I am so happy I found this place! I've only been twice so far but I've been trying different places for Brazilian waxes for a few years now and it's hands down the best place I've ever been to. I'm big on cleanliness and sanitation...and this is the ONLY place I've been to for a Brazilian where they actually throw away the stick after every application - no double dipping (which is so gross especially with a brazillian wax)! The paper they lay on the waxing table is always a fresh piece...never looks like it's been laid on, as I've experienced at some other places. You don't get the best greeting when you walk in but once you're in with one of the ladies they are super professional and very friendly. You can get your eyebrows done for only $3 and a full face wax is $12 (eyebrows included) (hey, what can I say, I'm a hairy girl). The ladies are really friendly, but I feel that you need to try out each of them before you find someone who works best for you. They all speak great English and are accommodating and will listen to what you want. The service is fast, but a bit unorganized at times. It essentially is an honour system of first come first serve, but most people tend to wait for the lady in the first chair, closest to the door. So, if you're not waiting for her, you should be out of there fairly quickly. My friends all tell me they pay $20 to get their eyebrows waxed in Toronto, and I tell them to come over to Laddi's and get them done for $3. The Ladies at Laddi's run a tight ship, service is fast and clean. I spent a year growing out my eyebrows to perfection and I came to Laddi's as it was close to my house. I asked them to just clean up my eyebrows and keep them thick. She said " yeah yeah yeah" and proceeded to thread. I opened my eyes to lopsided thin eyebrows. So happy I yelped this place! I've never had any complaints and more often than not have gotten compliments on my brow shape.
