Was so happy to find a Laduree in the CDG airport in Paris! What a treat after a long flight to be able to indulge in some of the best macrons around! They had a great selection and they always have such unique tasty flavors. Knocking off a star as while the staff was friendly they did exude a little bit of snobby attitude and could have been friendlier. Who knows though - maybe the customer before me was cranky or something but was still a little bit of a bummer. Not a reason to not pop by on your next layover though. ;)
For the prices of these macaroons you would expect them to be laced with gold. Oh, they are gold gilded macaroons. They have jellies and other fancy French foods too. Great for gifts with nice gift bags. They also have laduree plastic type shopping bags. Perfect for preflight gift buying (as long as you don't look at the bill).
A must when in Paris. The macaroons are amazing, fresh and delicious. Brought 20 macaroons back home to the States because having just one is never enough.
Laduree at the airport? Yes!!! Looking for some place to eat while at the airport (before security), I saw this on their information panel and I had to try.... I wasn't expecting much at this airport and food I had here before was overpriced and underwhelmed in taste. Just happened to be a table opened up at a cafe section and got seated right away. Service was a bit slow but lunch I had was so tasty, it was worths the wait. Best part was dessert. They had four macarons special (as they do at many other Laduree shops), I shared an order with my colleague and I was in heaven. I am glad they have a cafe here at the airport. Look for them before you go to the security to enjoy the last bit of Paris before your departure from CDG.
Got some macarons in Paris airport as a gift for family; they had 15 unique flavors and I made sure to get one of each flavor. Wished they provided some labels/tags as some macarons ended up tasting very similar. Texture was 10/10: hard (slight crunch) on outside and chewy/soft in the center
I was SO excited to try Laduree during my layover back to Rennes. I actually made it a point in my itinerary and had been looking forward to it for a LONG time. However, the macarons were just okay to me. I got the Salted Caramel, Matcha Moringa, and Chocolate Covered Hazelnut & Chocolate macaron, and a butter croissant. The butter croissant was extremely disappointing - not very buttery or flaky, and overall just a little sad, especially for the price. The salted caramel macaron was my least favorite. The caramel flavor was strong, but there was just something about it that I didn't like :( The matcha moringa was much better, and tasted of premium matcha. My favorite was the chocolate covered chocolate hazelnut macaron. All in all, I was slightly let down by my experience, but hopefully when I'm in Paris again, I can give this place (in the city center this time) another try and be wow'ed like I had originally thought I would be.
Beautiful Laduree location, slightly larger than a kiosk, in the central area of Terminal 2 at CDG. I had a 4 hour layover and was pleasantly surprised to see such a large selection of macarons. Prices are about on par for this delicacy, and there were many flavor varieties. Staff was friendly and helpful, and the lines moved quickly. They offer various sized packages, all cute and very appropriate for gift giving. The actual store was so intricately and beautifully designed, that in itself made the visit worth it. There are other store locations in Paris, but this one certainly doesn't disappoint.
(Snacked 11/23/17 TH @ 5:00pm): Purely a tourist thing to do when in this part of the world was to eat these colorful round treats in their mother land! Located in Terminal 2F of the Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) in Paris, France as I headed toward an Air France connecting flight was this Laduree cart station. I was a mild fan of macarons and understood that this French luxury bakery was the industry's standard when it came to these colorful confections and had to try them in on their own respective soil. Would I seek this business again if I were to travel through this airport!?: PURCHASE Individual Macarons (2.10 Euros x5): In counterclockwise order, I chose Salted Caramel, Hazelnut, Milky Vanilla Lime Zest, Pistachio, and Chocolate https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=doHx2b7ZiN2WANZV5jAwLw&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw. They were all very lovely with their pastel colors, lightly crunchy coating, buttery bread, and slightly creamy center. However, my favorite was the hazelnut as it seemed to taste less artificial and more real...or maybe I was still on the whole Italian kick of my vacation. Next was the salted caramel, pistachio, chocolate, and finally milky vanilla lime zest. Needless to say, these were rather pricey which initially made me pause, but I had to try them since I couldn't remember if I ever did when I was last in France years ago. SERVICE There was a sole young attractive female who worked the station. As I patiently waited close to 20 minutes (there were two large Japanese groups in front of me who were going to town and had language issues), I felt like I won the lottery once it was my turn. I, too, wanted to take my time with this other sweet thing, but there was a line behind me. So, I quickly gave my order, she carefully packaged and wrapped everything up (such beautiful marketing), paid for my treats, and wished her "au revoir" as she offered a coyish glance and smile. PARKING (Varied; n/a this instance) I was just laid over from a flight and the only way you were getting to this station was if you had a plane ticket - 'nuff said. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE What appeared to be a brightly-painted fanciful wagon of sort as it showed its wares to all who past by, it was cutely decorated with flowers, gift boxes, ribbons, and more. In the immediate area, there were no TVs nor background music. ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL The Laduree Cart Station is Terminal 2F at Paris, France's Charles de Gaulle Airport was a luxury treat indeed, but would probably be a one-and-done with me. As much as I liked the macarons, they were expensive - even the ones here stateside were pricey - and never understood why based on the size and how quickly they were eaten. The location was great, they had a decent selection, and service was excellent; it was just the price that made things prohibitive for this value-seeker but not a reason to trash them either. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around 11.00 Euros BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, although I paid in cash, they accepted my credit card of choice...AMEX! 4.0 STARS
I was super happy that this was located in the airport so that I can get some of them for my family overseas. Even after a long plane trip ride, the macarons was delicious and still soft to the bite. I love all of the flavors they had. Even for an airport, they had almost 90% of the flavors on the catalog. The staff was super friendly and it was a fun experience just picking and choosing each macaron.
This review is for the Laduree kiosk that's also in Terminal 2. We landed in T2, but didn't see the store right away. So when we exited the gate, we asked where to find the shop and got directed to the cute macaron cart near the check-in counters. Before we ordered, we were asked if we were flying since the treats would be confiscated at security screening. We got 5 mini macarons for 1.70€ each. Thankfully in the San Francisco Bay Area, there are a lot of good options for French macarons. But I really enjoyed the unique flavors like the holiday marron poire (chestnut pear), raisin canelle (grape cinnamon), and caramel a la fleur de del (soft caramel with sea salt). We also had to get chocolate and coffee for good measure. We inhaled the macarons on the train back into the city.
Guess what? I got stranded again in a different airport while trying to make a connecting flight!!! As Matteo R. said, "La mia solita fortuna con le compagnie aeree".... SMH. This happens to me ALL THE TIME. This time it happened in CDG. After what happened to me in London last December, nothing surprises me anymore. At least it was only one night instead of 4 nights, thank goodness. One of the saving graces was discovering the Ladurée store in terminal 2F!!! Their macarons are so divine!!! Although I was almost running out of euros, I bought these pricey decadant macarons because I felt I deserved some treats to make myself feel happier. I looooove their vanilla macarons!!! Mmmmmmm!!!! J'adooooore!!!! 5 etoiles!!! You made my day!

Ladurée is a sweet respite in your busy travel plans. I first discovered Ladurée when I worked in high tech and traveled to Asian and Europe once a quarter. Whenever I am in the Paris airport, it is an obligatory stop. This macaroon shop is located conveniently inside the airport with the quintessential elegant Parisian packaging. Even in Charles de Gaulle extremely busy terminal, it is a nice travel break. To be transparent, macaroons are not my first dessert choice. Laduréevis in a macaroon league of its own...soft blue green base colors, delicate gold font accents, rows of perfectly arranged macarons. Each one had that signature texture ...a delicate shell with a soft, creamy center. The history... Ladurée was founded in 1862 by Louis-Ernest Ladurée and evolved into one of the first Parisian tea salons. The now-famous Ladurée macaron didn't appear until decades later, when Pierre Desfontaines, a descendant of the founder, created the modern version... two delicate shells filled with ganache. From that point forward, Ladurée became synonymous with elegance, indulgence, and being distinctly Parisian. Today, it sells thousands of macarons daily and has locations worldwide. The ladies at the macaroon shop have a system of service. One person takes your order, another selects your macaroons and the third person packages the macaroons. It is important to note that, while Ladurée is the most delicious macaroon I have ever tasted, they are expensive. So, it will be a splurge. Deca so delicious and so fresh super delightful the pistachio you taste the real pistachio flavor in it and I have that rose finger so delicious flavorful delightful and they have a balance between the sugar and the cramps and the coffee is so delicious to fresh The service is so nice elegant, classy staff here so polite and warm the welcome very loud ambience. I love it so quiet place you feel like you are an old French café. read more

It's a nice place, but if you came for a "tea time" be ready being seated inside without conditioner, you'll be sweaty and a little bit irritated. read more

I decided to go simple on this one and just had a club sandwich, the Ladurée club. It was as much as I ever paid for a club sandwich but it was excellent. Coffee and the marron was very nice. And of course the atmosphere is very tastefully elegant with a view of the goings on in the airport. When it came to pay, they tried using the old French trick of pretending that the credit card communication wasn't going through and asked if I could pay cash. Being on a business trip, I refused. Miraculously, somehow, they got my card to work. This would definitely be 5 stars if it hadn't been for this, which the manager of the place tried to do. read more

I couldn't go to Paris and not pick up some macarons from Ladurée! I'm really glad they have a store in the Charles de Gaulle airport because I didn't want to carry these fragile macarons on and off the taxi while simultaneously worrying about my luggage. The macarons are expensive (I think they end up being $2-$3 USD per macaron) but Ladurée makes the most aesthetically pleasing macarons I have ever seen. Every single macaron looks so perfect in terms of size, shape, and color. I ended up getting the box of 20 macarons for €42.80 (ouch). In terms of taste, a macaron from your local bakery will probably be comparable to a macaron from Ladurée. I don't think there was anything dramatically special about the taste/flavors. In terms of texture, I think that Ladurée is superior because the macarons have the perfect level of softness and chewiness. If I want to send macarons to someone as a gift, I will purchase them from Ladurée. For all other occasions, I will be purchasing the $1-$1.50 macarons from a local bakery. read more
