Lia's consultation with me was concise and informative, explaining how the process would work, easing my nerves as she was aware it was my first time. The studio itself We settled on a natural finish, with the largest lash being 12mm. There isn't much to say about the process itself, as I ended up falling asleep halfway through the hour! I was able to listen to a podcast off my phone without any trouble, and even caught some of the alluring lullabies that play inside the studio. There was little to no pinching at all, marking up the reputation of the studio to the upmost expertise and quality of service. The session was over before I knew it (definite A+ on the speed) and Lia provided a cute mirror and handheld fan to view her work. The lashes were placed perfectly, and provided beautiful, yet subtle volume to my natural eyes to accentuate their look. No signs of redness or stinging at all: just a gorgeous, luxurious look. I travel from Brooklyn to Queens for lash extensions. My first experience with Cozy this year was great, my cashmere lashes lasted at least 5 weeks even though I went to the beach and had gotten them wet/didn't take care of them. My next experience, I tried mink. I got a different tech and after two whole weeks, I barely have any left. Each day, so many lashes would fall off without my real lash hair attached, which means they probably didn't use enough glue or there was an issue with the glue that they used. Unfortunately, since these lash trips are quite the trek for me, I value consistency in all the techs. For Cozy to be a top tier lash place, all techs should have enough experience, so that even if I had to switch techs last minute, I would hope that whoever does it would produce the same results as long as they work for the same place. Cozy was really promising for me--it had every potential to be my go-to lash place. I hope that my honest review will have them consider making sure that their techs are consistently producing quality work, or for them to do quality checks on the glue that they use. Even though Cozy offered me a discount to get this fixed, which I highly appreciate, I just don't have the time to go back to them until 4 weeks later, when I expect to get a new set.

I decided on trying out Fay Lashes since it was only a 2-block walk from my apartment. I was thrilled after my first appointment for a new set, they really went above and beyond in making sure the style was exactly what I wanted and took care in giving me soft and voluminous lashes. Unfortunately, every other appointment over the next 6 months was a disappointment. At first, I expressed to them that the long inner corners were uncomfortable and poking my eyes, and requested they be shortened but they told me I had to buy a brand new set if I wanted that done - which, as you all know, is much more expensive than a routine fill appointment. Second, once you're done they make you hold the fan to dry the glue yourself and basically try to rush you out the door even if your eyes are still tearing from the fumes. Third, I started noticing that they began to use fewer but larger clusters of lashes at every fill, which creates the illusion of volume but leaves obvious gapping when one falls out a few days later from being too heavy for my natural lashes. It got so out of hand that I would be "done" in only 15 minutes when I know full well that a normal 3-week follow-up appointment takes at least 45 mins to an hour when applied correctly. I did not appreciate the shortcuts they were taking, so I took my business elsewhere.

Dont get me wrong, my lashes came out great and i paid for my services however upon paying, Lina became very upset stating tip is not included. I explained to her that this time i will not be tipping due to my dissatisfaction with the overall service. Lina proceeded to argue with me in front of other customers stating that she gave me a one hour service. I explained to her tip is not for the service or a "service fee" as she called it it is for the quality and experience of the customer. Great experience = tip. The more someone likes the service the more they tip. Despite not being fully happy with my experience this time around i offered Lina $5 in singles as a tip and still explained that i will tip based off the quality of the lashes and not more.
