Since all my favorite lash extension salons either closed during covid or relocated to an area that only has paid street parking, I was looking for a new spot closer to home. I decided on trying out Fay Lashes since it was only a 2-block walk from my apartment. I was thrilled after my first appointment for a new set, they really went above and beyond in making sure the style was exactly what I wanted and took care in giving me soft and voluminous lashes. Unfortunately, every other appointment over the next 6 months was a disappointment. At first, I expressed to them that the long inner corners were uncomfortable and poking my eyes, and requested they be shortened but they told me I had to buy a brand new set if I wanted that done - which, as you all know, is much more expensive than a routine fill appointment. Second, once you're done they make you hold the fan to dry the glue yourself and basically try to rush you out the door even if your eyes are still tearing from the fumes. Third, I started noticing that they began to use fewer but larger clusters of lashes at every fill, which creates the illusion of volume but leaves obvious gapping when one falls out a few days later from being too heavy for my natural lashes. It got so out of hand that I would be "done" in only 15 minutes when I know full well that a normal 3-week follow-up appointment takes at least 45 mins to an hour when applied correctly. I did not appreciate the shortcuts they were taking, so I took my business elsewhere. read more

This little gem is AMAZING!! So I constantly by passer here when I would get my eyebrows done and I decided to stop in there, and thank goodness I did! The lovely Nicole had an opening and she took me in!! Nicole is super sweet, takes her time to make sure you are satisfied with what you like, she goes over everything and even gives great suggestions on what would look great! Even after my 2nd week my lashes was still looking full and amazing! I went in recently again for my 2nd week refill and just like my first encounter Nicole was still the same way super welcoming and knew exactly what I wanted! Making appointments are always super easy since they take text message appointments and responses are always fast/immediate. Nicole keeps a detailed log of all her client preferences. I like to try different lengths and styles and each time and Nicole and her team is always flexible and always customizes my lash style each time while also making their own recommendations based on experience. Nicole and her team always asks if I am satisfied at the end of each session. My sessions are always super gentle and relaxing, while always within 1 hour so it's easy for my busy schedule. Unfortunately, my first and last time. I've been getting my lashes done for over 5yrs now. I usually go nearby my house to get them done, this time I decided to give this place a try since my tech was busy that day and I couldn't go to my usual spot. My SIL has been going to Fay lashes and recommended me this place. However this place was not for me, here's why (based on my personal preference and experience): 1) Technician (Jennifer) seemed to be new, she started by applying a "cleaning" solution to my eyes which made them itch and burn. That made me very uncomfortable. When I told her to stop applying the eye cleaner she gave me attitude and replied "honey, your eyes are too sensitive, no one has ever complained before". Like, what? I'm sorry I'm supposed to sit there and let her burn my eyes? 2) music is very distracting and a bit loud for my taste, maybe I'm used to going to get my lashes in a more relaxing setting with no distractions? Some people might enjoy Bruno Mars back to back for an hour and at a loud volume- I don't, I find it very distracting and prefer to listen to something more relaxing knowing I'll be laying down for about hour, I would prefer to use that time to relax. 3) Technician used EXCESSIVE amount of glue on my lashes, I didn't notice until I got home (tbh I was couldn't wait to leave the establishment) and did not notice until after. I did point out to the tech that my eye was red at the end of the session, and she told me to tan it out, with a snarky tone, OK! Never have o ran into this issue before when doing my lashes, clearly she doesn't know what she's doing and has attitude! The owner was nice to call me right after I left, she noticed I wasn't happy. I mentioned to her that my was burning, didn't mentioned the excessive glue because I did not noticed it at that time. Unfortunately, I won't be coming back, this place is not for me. read more

HOLY COW! This is my second time doing my lashes and at Fay Lashes and I am more than happy with the results. This time I got 100pc/Cat eye style/ D curl and the total came out to about $75(?) and 20% tip! I will never stop coming here. The tech(blanking on her name atm)is extremely gentle, but precise and pays a lot of attention to detail. You can just see it in her work. I am amazed at how quick and efficient she is and how long the lashes last. I had a busy november and the whole month, my lashes looked great. I got a 100 piece set with the outer edge of my eye having the longest lashes of the set. The prices are great. $60 for classic, $70 for natural (i believe thats what its called), 80$ for dramatic, then they have 2d, and 3d ( not sure what those are). As soon as i walked in they showed me pictures of the different types of styles, told me what would match my eye shape, and what length they recommend. Many lash places just do the lashes don't really take the time to ask, so this was greatly appreciated! She took about an hour and 10 minutes which is really quick compared to many lash techs. I loved the results. The place was very clean and theres parking in the back which made it so much easier. They are open all day everyday and booking was very easy over the phone. When I went there were two women- Jen and Nicole. The salon was very nice, the atmosphere was very pleasant. Both Jen and Nicole were very friendly. I didn't wait long at all. I let Jen know I had never gotten lash extensions before and she helped me figure out what exactly I wanted done. She finished faster than I expected and the end result was only $60. Have gone a number of times before and has been pretty good. They must have new management. I hadn't been for a few months. This last time was so bad and I won't be back. The technician hurt my eyes by taping them open too wide and used way too much glue. My eyes burned for days and one was strained and hurt to touch. They also started using clumps instead of individual lashes, so they look super fake and are all over the place and have mostly fallen out (and look awful) in a week and a half. That wasn't the case the last time I went. To top it off, when I went to pay, they didn't give me my change so I felt obligated to leave a tip for someone who I had just burned my eyes. No concern. Told me it was normal. If you go here, it's not. I saw a few other women complaining and drying their eyes with fans after their appointment.
