Wink and I had a great time spending a relaxed afternoon getting his photos taken, and my little guy really loved being the center of attention. They really work hard to get good shots. Ginger is a very shy dog so the first part of our shoot was them just trying to let her open up by playing with her and giving her treats. She definitely opened up after a while that's why she got the oh so beloved tennis ball shot! My husband and I are not the best models either and we wanted to be in the photos. They taught us some poses to look decent in the pictures. They really work with you and your preferences--they make sure you absolutely love the prints and the photos you end up with. We had an incident where one of the prints had smudged ink which was very minimal--, but they went above and beyond to literally drive to our home to switch out the framed prints just to make sure we have them perfect! We took our dog to the pet store where Dapper Paws was doing a holiday photo shoot. We selected a hat and scarf and Angela led us to the holiday background. Angela had treats and was super patient with our pup. I felt bad that our girl wasn't being cooperative initially but Angela was easy going and just kept trying to get the shot. Finally, our dog stayed in place and Angela started snapping pics. She showed us what she had to be sure there was something there that we liked, and there was a perfect picture that we loved. We got our pic in email a couple days later and it was ADORABLE! Not long after, I matched with a gentleman who had taken portraits with Danielle too! AND he used the same prop (a typewriter- we're both writers). Turns out we had matched previously, he'd seen my photos, and decided to have his own done with his German Shepherd. So now I have four dogs. Greatest thing ever she's a big breed and needs to get her energy out as much as possible. berry is her name if you're wondering ! Berry loves boarding here as well I've never had any issues with her coming into the building and she absolutely just lives all staff and the dogs coming into and out! Everytime she boards they send me the silliest of photos of her playing and just doing great. At the end of her boarding we knew she would be dirty so we went ahead and asked for them to bathe her, we always asks for in between baths because she is a long coat and we love to make sure she isn't knotted. So to my surprise guess what! She's absolutely gorgeous and bright and always brushed after her stays. Grooming staff and Puppy Island staff thank you so much for taking care of my Berry girl. When it came to photoshoot day both Christy and Katherin were more than prepared for us. They had planned ahead different spots of where to shoot Scout and different types of shots.
