Not only did Danielle capture brilliant images of my dog family, she's the reason I met my partner! After several hours of shooting with my three dogs (including one VERY skittish shepherd mix), I got some incredibly cute portraits, and was so happy with them I put them on my dating app profile. Not long after, I matched with a gentleman who had taken portraits with Danielle too! AND he used the same prop (a typewriter- we're both writers). Turns out we had matched previously, he'd seen my photos, and decided to have his own done with his German Shepherd. So now I have four dogs. This was my first time having a pet portrait done. I wasn't sure what to expect but I'd read glowing reviews of Danielle and was super excited. My experience was even better than I could've imagined -- all that and more! I was blown away by Danielle's expertise and chops with her craft. She had all these tricks up her sleeve to get my sweet but nervous cat to relax and light up in front of the camera. She was also so kind and accommodating with me. The photos she took were the CUTEST! I got the 90's pet montage and am just so obsessed with her playful and creative photography style. If you have a pet that you're remotely obsessed with, you need to get their fluffy (or feathery or scaly? ) butt to Danielle Spires Photography. My dog Dudley has had three separate shoots with her- one featuring myself and my beloved son; another family shoot that included Dudley's dad; and most recently, a fun Christmas shoot with Dudley and Black Metal Santa. All of the photos we've gotten from Danielle are GOLD. Several of them are among my partner's and my most prized possessions- the items we would grab first if we were evacuating a house fire (although of course you get digital copies, so no need to be so precious about the prints- this is just me not thinking clearly with all the hypothetical smoke inhalation.) Not only does Danielle create fabulous images, she's an absolute delight to work with. I'm extremely camera-awkward and was very apprehensive the first time I went to be photographed with Dudley, but Danielle's genuine and kind disposition quickly put me at ease. She was also very cool about answering my clueless questions about posing ("What do I do with this arm?" ) and making helpful creative suggestions. These photos have brought my little family so much joy and continue to be one of the first things friends comment on when they visit our house. Danielle is the best in every possible way. Her style is fun and playful, and she does a fantastic job at capturing memories that are both classy and quirky. I first met Danielle for a portrait with my cat, Maddie, who was in her final months. It was incredibly difficult to take pictures knowing that I wouldn't have Maddie much longer, but the pictures are such a treasure and I'm so glad I did it. It was early in the pandemic. I was home with my three dogs -- Googling idly. Yawn. And then I thought of it: pet photos. What a thing to look forward to! I came across Danielle Spires thanks to Yelp. Yessssssssss. I booked a session. We finally just managed to meet in August -- thanks to some masks, hand sanitizer, and disinfectant spray. And I am so beyond utterly thrilled with the results! Danielle is the perfect person for these shoots -- patient -- creative -- professional -- fun. She knows when she's got the shot, can be flexible to get the shot, and is skilled enough to take the shot while squeezing a squeaky hamburger toy. Wish I could leave 100 stars! Danielle is amazing! She is super accommodating and has a way with animals of all shapes & sizes. I'm obsessed with Danielle's unique style and vision with her photography. Not only do we have these amazing photos forever, but the session itself was so much fun! Photography can be a super anxiety provoking situation for pets but Danielle helped calm my cat down before the session by letting him roam around her studio for 15 or so mins. It helped him get to know the area and feel more at ease before the shoot. She also offers treats. Of course it wasn't my cat's favorite thing to do, but Danielle was very efficient with getting all of the shots we wanted in a short period of time so it wasn't long and torturous for my lil guy. Also, Danielle is very open to client ideas and vision, you can tell her exactly the vibe that you want with the prints as far as clothes, backdrop, positions, etc. And at the end she will send you all of the photos where your animal is looking at the camera, so you get a large gallery to choose from!! We had a photo of our 2 dogs and us captured by Danielle, she was a dream! First, she was so good with our anxious pups and made them super comfortable. Second, our family photo turned out so amazing we had friends asking us for it on a t-shirt! We used our photos for sending to family and friend's. They will be cherished forever.
