SUPER DISAPPOINTED WITH HOW MY MOST RECENT ORDER WAS HANDLED!…read more This was my second time renting tables and linen from this company for my annual holiday party. Last year, I was able to order and rent tables and linen from here and had no problems at all. This year, I order tables, linen, and a 20 x 20 tent with walls. Our event was for December 18, so I requested for the rental items to be delivered on December 17. The initial order was a bit too expensive for my party budget, so I asked our sales representative, Nakeesha Clemmons, to remove some of the extra items to help us with pricing. Somewhere in the process of editing our initial order, Nakeesha changed our setup date from December 17 to December 18. Since the setup date was not something I asked to be adjusted, I did not think to check when the order was updated. On December 17, when prepping the venue for the event with my Event Committee, I became concerned that the rentals had not been delivered. I called Nakeesha to inquire, and she informed me she had me down for setup on December 18. I informed her that, that could not be right as I know I scheduled the order to be setup on December 17; which makes sense since our event was on December 18. I found the email where I originally requestee setup on December 17. I asked Nakeesha to accommodate our December 17 need, and she said she would check with her manager. When I asked to speak to her manager, Jason, he called me back and said the same thing as Nakeesha. I informed him of the issue with our setup date changing. He informed me he was not able to accommodate our need. I am VERY disappointed this happened leading up to our important event. It caused added stress on the date of our event. BEWWARE of this company changing important details without your consent.

What mattered most is that Racine answered my call promptly. I had given him very short notice. It was a Friday and I needed the chairs for Sunday. He was able to help me out. He was pleasant and professional. I only needed a few chairs. What was really nice is that Racine allowed me to pick up the chairs and return them. These were the fan back folding chairs. They were in good condition and were good quality chairs. I had contacted another company twice and they never responded. So, when Racine answered the phone and said yes and walked me through what to do, I really appreciated it. I returned the chairs on Monday in the same good quality. Run from this company! Do NOT USE!…read more I hired this company to assist the venue crew since I had more materials to set-up then seemed fair for the venue crew. I specifically scoped the work for the larger items (candelabras), backdrop, mirror, floral runner, and some other items. First off, they arrived over an hour late. After many frantic calls from multiple wedding coordinators and myself. The staff at the venue had been waiting for them arrive to get a start of helping set-up so we were behind. I was stressed. I heard from both my coordinators that the set/up crew was rude to them and their staff. Second, I got a text IN THE MIDDLE OF MY RECEPTION from them saying I needed to pay several hundred more dollars for them to come back and do breakdown which I had already paid for in my initial contract. They stated I had more stuff than contracted. When I confronted them about being rude and late they denied it. I had a panic attack and started crying in the middle of my reception. My MOH grabbed my phone and sent the funds. I would have been fine with providing more money on the backend due to more stuff, but 1/ messaging me in the middle of my wedding to extort me and 2/ arriving late and being unprofessional to my staff was completely unacceptable. Also some of my candles and other wedding items conveniently walked off..... Update: the response from the company completely meets my expectations. Zero accountability. Everytime I confronted you about how terrible you were to work with you deflected and never acknowledged your shortcomings. Being late, being rude, some of my items being broken....what was the point in continuing to try to engage with you over missing items. It was a fruitless endeavor and you had created enough stress for me. My friend had the misfortune of hiring Vlux Events for event catering setup for her wedding, and it was an absolute disaster. Not only did they arrive late, throwing off their entire pre-set schedule, but they spent the evening of the reception pestering the bride and disrupting the bridal party during what should have been a joyous and stress-free celebration. Despite having a meticulously organized and detailed list of setup requirements agreed upon well in advance, they claimed the setup was more work than they could handle after the fact, and texted the bride during the reception demanding more money otherwise they would not return for the breakdown. This left the bride and groom and the bridal party in an extremely uncomfortable and awkward situation. Being left with no other option, the last-minute additional fee was paid, because there was no choice but to pay it. Their behavior was unprofessional and extortionate, creating unnecessary stress on what should have been a perfect day. What a wonderful event we had at the Petroleum Club of Houston to celebrate our 40th anniversary…read more Since our anniversary is sandwiched between Christmas and Valentine's, House of Hough steered us in the right direction with only a touch of red (40th anniversary color) in the napkins on the dining tables and more red on the hors d'oeuvres and cocktail tables, They offer a choice of napkin folds, and we chose the vertical cummerbund. We thought it worked perfectly! They also suggested that we use the platinum linen on the table where we placed our pictures so that they would be the star rather than a red or brighter color. And the champagne charger fit perfectly pulling in the gold tones of the candle holders. It was a delight to work with all of the staff and all went smoothly. We thought the pricing was reasonable.
