Lady Moo Moo is a kitschy ice-cream/candy store with a very fun vibe. It feels like a throwback to the past to the 50's-era soda shops but with a more welcoming atmosphere. Service is quick and easy and they sell the ice cream by the pint which is nice. Flavor wise, it's very standard fare comparatively to a Van Leeuwens or other more creative ice cream shops. My preference is for a less creamy consistency and this is definitely ULTRA-creamy to the point it almost tastes like it's melted when you eat it. 10's for the aesthetic and I'll be back for the candy but wouldn't go out of my way for the ice-cream since the flavor is also not really that noticeable to me, but again preference.

Tried some samples and they were all delicious! The earl grey was so flavorful! It was like a London fog in ice cream form. I ended up getting the cookies and cream and cowffee and cream bc mmmm and my best friend got the pear sorbet which was to die for! Highly recommend! Excited for the new location they're opening up too

This place has been on my list for years, and I finally made it here! This is a super cute ice cream shop, they had some really cool flavors, and the employees were nice enough to let us sample a few flavors. My husband went with the classic cookies and cream in a waffle cone and I went with the local honey in a cup. The cookies and cream was delicious, smooth and not overly sweet. The waffle cone was thin and crunchy, which was nice. The local honey was good, it wasn't too sweet and it was smooth. Definitely check this place out if you're ever in the area!
I LOVE Lady Moo Moo, and it's such a great addition to the Bed-Stuy neighborhood. Their tropical flavors especially were SUCH a gamechanger in the killer heat this summer. I really enjoyed their passionfruit and coconut offerings, but there wasn't a single person upset about any of the flavors they were slinging by the scoop. They have the best Lady Moo Moo mural and multi-colored decor surrounding the hole-in-the-wall shop, and they even had a bowl for thirsty doggos. This establishment goes to show that it's always going to be quality over quantity. The staff was lovely, efficient, and explanatory. In terms of parking, it's New York: it's easier to bike or walk.

If you're missing the suburbs, sitting on the bench in front of Lady Moo Moo will scratch your itch. As for the ice cream, flavors are fairly straightforward/basic, but the texture is spot on (firm but creamy) and the mix ins are the right ratios. I really enjoyed the classic cookies and cream they offered. I hope to return when in Bed Stuy!
Finally caught this place when it is open. For years I never seemed to sync up with them. It's super pricey for ice cream with minor frost bite and $2 cones. But since it is out of the way and I doubt I'll catch it open again its worth the 6.50. The single scoop is tightly packed with two scoops and the flavor was everything. I ordered the earl grey lavender and got just that. A beautiful blend of slightly flowery lavender and subtle bitterness from the e.g. Service was quick for this quaint little shack. Overall it's definitely tasty cream but do be prepared to fork over all your money for only a scoop ice cream.

You can tell that all the flavors are super thought out and delicious + not to mention all the amazing local collaborations they always seem to be doing! It's a Family friendly local neighborhood spot, when I had first moved into the area I remember the owner had gave me a complimentary pint because I came after closing trying to score some vegan ice cream. Love love love they have vegan ice cream options + the affogato is amazing if you need a lovely pick me up and you can customize it with any flavor ice cream.
i am an ice cream lover. that being said, ive been in search of a go-to ice cream spot in brooklyn for a while and i think ive finally found a winner. it honestly saddens me that this spot is seasonal. went on a monday evening and there wasn't a huge line thank god. it was also so awfully hot and humid out-- an ideal day for a cold sweet treat. i was there for about two hours and yes, we had two rounds of ice cream!! for my first i opted for the vanilla sunflower and cookies and cowfee. the ice cream here is smooth, creamy, and not too sweet (my favorite. real thick dairy. the cookies and cowfee was solid, i feel like its a standard flavor one cannot go wrong with. it paired great with the vanilla sunflower which has little chocolate coated sunflower seeds dispersed throughout. For my second round which i took on the walk back, i opted for the rooftop honey and vanilla sunflower again. the rooftop honey was delicious (a bit sweeter so would recommend with a more neutral flavor if you get two flavors). the people working here were also super nice and helpful. next time im pretty determined to get the ice cream sandwich which, from the photos ive seen from other reviewers, looks like a dream come true.
Absolutely love this hidden gem in the neighborhood! I wish they were open all week but I guess that is based off of demand. Service is always fast but each order is prepared with love. Prices aren't bad and they even have pints to take home. I love the gym all machine; when you get a golden gum ball you win a free scoop. PLEASE make the red velvet ice cream more often Lol
The deor of Lady Moo Moo Ice Cream is adorable with lots of painting on it's exterior wall. Their flavors weren't in a great variety but decent enough for an afternoon treat or a dessert after meals. We had their Chocolate PB and it was delicious and well-balanced between chocolate & peanut butter. Just a reminder that credit cards are not acceptable but Cash & Venmo only.

I love rose, but not when it comes to eating it. But this place has a very good rose flavoured ice cream. It's so good. It doesn't taste like you're eating a flower. Also, big shout out to Issa, Anthony, Ebony and Harley. They deserve a lot of recognition here. I had first hand witness Issa single handily scooped out over 60+ ice cream as a lone wolf during a monsoon this past July. It was insane, so big shout out to the team here. This review is based on my pop up experience only, not the Chauncey Street location. I discovered Lady Moo Moo at a recent collaboration they were doing with Acne Studios in SoHo. I hadn't heard of this fabulous small batch ice cream shop previously and I'm so happy it's on my radar now. Hopefully they will expand into Manhattan in the future. They offered a choice from 2 flavors at the pop up, Rose or Vanilla. I went with Rose which was perfectly fragrant and not too sweet. Shout out to their onsite team who also work in their ice cream shops... friendly, personable and informative about their ice cream business plus the new fragrance from Acne Studios x Parfums Frédéric Malle. This is worth stopping by! I can't believe I had no idea that delicious, small-batch ice cream was so close to me! I'm an ice cream lover and while I appreciate the classics, their ever rotating menu of flavors means I'll be getting ice cream all summer! While they now have two locations, I went to the original walk-up window. It's really cute outside with painted murals and colorful flags/decor/a fun gumball machine! As it was a Friday afternoon work/school, there was a line formed. Ordering went quick and after much debate in line, decided on a carton to take home of their Black Sesame flavor. This was GREAT. It was not overly sweet, and had a rich flavor of sesame. We went through that pint in under 4 hours and can't wait to return and check out their new location! read more

Lady Moo Moo is in one word - cuteness!! This is a true neighborhood joint serving some delicious pints, cones, sandwiches, and more. It's a unique spot in that it's basically just a to-go counter with some benches for seating. The people around the space and the music they play definitely make it a vibe. When I visited, the line was long but it was made entertaining with all the dogs that the neighbors brought with them. I thought I would be the only one with a dog - nope!! The ice cream here definitely gives homemade vibes. It is like the ice cream my grandma and I used to make with her ice cream maker. I picked up a couple pints and they were great throughout the week. Service is really friendly and kind. I really loved the vibe of the person taking my order when I was there. Friendly neighborhood homemade ice cream shop that commands lines wrapped around the corner. I stopped by a few weeks ago, only to find out they weren't yet open for scoops, just pints. I was sad, but the guy told me to come back July 19th. Today was that day! And also, National Ice Cream Day. Thinking I was going after the rush, I hopped in line just after 5:30 on a Sunday. My wait was about 45 minutes. Is this a long time? Yes. But during covid, what else do you have to do on a hot afternoon? I had my headphones and Pokemon Go and settled in. When it was my turn at the counter, I placed an order for Better (butter) Pecan and Cookies & Cream on a cone. A scoop is $4, add an extra for $2. Two scoops for $6 really is a sweet deal. The ice cream was delicious. Butter pecan is always a solid choice and the cookies and cream was full of chocolatey cookie chunks. The added bonus was the guy remembering me from that time before. They have a pretty long list of ice cream flavors, and for the dairy-averse, sorbet! I'll be sure to check out the mango sorbet the next time I go (which will be soon!). read more
We love it here!! The customer service is great, the staff and of course the SORBETS AND THE ICE CREAM!!! Forget about Van Luewen (or however you spell it!) Lady Moo Moo is the truth and the rum raisin is unmatched!!! We're going to miss our summer walks for evening ice cream when they close at the end of the month. This is one of my favorite ice cream shops in NYC and I'm lucky its a 15 min walk from my home. They make fantastic small batch ice cream and sorbet. They opened for a small window at the end of December and I snagged some pints and a 2.5 quart to hold me over until they open in the spring. read more

It's amazing during this pandemic this gem is still open. Putting a smile on everyone face. I love the coconut and butter pecan flavor ice cream. At the moment they aren't accepting Cards payment. But they do have paypal, cash app and Vernon barcode where you could scan and pay. But preferable CASH!! Different varieties of ice cream flavors and sorbet. A wonderful added ice cream gem to the community. read more

We drove past these guys and were curious. They operate on a residential street, and the store front looks like an extension of someone's home or garage. We weren't sure if they were an actual business open to public but with an awning like lady moo moo and a rainbow gumball machine we just had to check. Sooo glad, because shortly after we parked we saw 2 people ordering and receiving tantalizing scoops of ice cream. It was pretty simple to review the menu, but not as simple to choose the flavors. We kept it conservative, as this is a cash only establishment. Was a bit disappointed and didn't want to drive to a bank and lose our parking spot so the 7 of us ordered 8 scoops. Hahaha...you would think its plenty enough but seriously, they are delish!! and did not make it to the car that was parked a few houses down. We are normally good at sharing, but my family are dessert fiends so very little sharing was done. Flavors we tried but did not get-earl grey lavender. Flavors we tried and did get-Tahitian vanilla, the coconut, mango, litchi (lychee), mixed berry. Of these flavors, my favorite is the lychee. Light and mildly sweet. Tastes almost like the fresh fruit. Next time I am in the area I am going to make up for this missed opportunity. read more

It my birthday week and I was in the mood for ICE CREAM. I put the kids in the car and head to Lady Moo Moo. As I pull up I see a small line of people enjoying their ice cream and a party of two being served. I also notice three different QR code (Venmo, CashApp and PayPal) of which I have NONE. I started to panic because I have the kids, you can't renege on ice cream with kids. The owner/server hands me the ice creams and allowed me to download venmo. I would like to say thank you to him and add in a world that we are moving away from person to person into action it good the see people who still love what they do, have a great product and good customer service. Five stars all around. Great service. Great ice cream and even better sorbet.... Mr. Steve came to the school I work in on career day. He shared his story with my students about the many jobs he has had prior to his Moo-Moo shop. He shared samples of ice cream and sorbet with the students in PK-2.. In addition to samples that he gave at the school, he gave each child a card for another free scoop if they stop by the shop. Every sample was devoured in the classroom. Delicious stuff. Twenty-eight happy students. The shop is only opened on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. So I decided after school on Friday I would go and get some passion sorbet, I also got the wild berry and some cookies and cream for my son. Everything is fabulous. The consistency, flavor and texture on the palate are perfect. I will be back for more flavors. Welcome to the neighborhood. read more
