Great Experience for kids!…read more We had reserved a birthday party package for my daughter, and when we arrived, I expressed a little disappointment that we had not been placed in the event room in the back. However, the manager swooped in and made everything a wonderful, enjoyable experience for the kids. It turned out that our table near the viewing area was the best seating. He decorated it with racing helmets, medals for the kids to wear, and reward trophies. They placed candies and goodies on each child's plate as a surprise and doubled their arcade credits. I could swear they even gave us a little extra food. The kids all had a blast! I have never seen them have this much fun, and we have done many parties in town. The parents of our guests were very impressed. We even noted that the food was much better than that of the other places we have been to (including other go karting businesses in the area). Before we left, one of the moms requested a party date for her son.

Indoor go karts…read more It's pretty fun, but for the price, a day at FunSpot is better. It seems too compact. The tracks are not as spacious and interesting as FunSpot either. We left smelling like exhaust and lightheaded from the fumes. It was a one and done trip.

For me it was like being a kid again. They had quite a few obstacles to climb, run through, slide down, run around and bounce on. You can wear what ever you want. I came in a onesies, but I was not alone, because a lot of people were dressed in a lot of different costumes and tu-tu's.. You could walk, or run the course. I was suppose to be in the 10:00 am wave, but I was late, so they put me in the 10:30 wave. This is a family friendly event, so with that being said there was a lot of children doing the race with their parents. There was also plenty of places to take pictures of your adventure. At the end we were given a medal and a t-shirt. We also were given Bing energy drinks. There was also beer for though who were interested and other food to try. I really liked this and I will be doing it again. It was a lot of fun, and great exercise. I look forward to the next fun run.

And they need plenty of outlets to power up these speedy electric go karts. This spot had immediate availability in the 5 O'Clock hour on a Saturday afternoon. We just missed the window for the one race so we had to wait 15 mins for the next one, which gives you a chance to watch some of the other races. I recommend purchasing the head sock as it lets the helmet glide on with ease. Prices are still kinda high for one race and I didn't see anything that looked like you saved money with more races. There are two tracks, basically and adult track and a child track. The carts can be pretty speedy, but they're controlled by big brother who seems to let the field drive at the pace of the field. On some laps, I felt I was going faster than on other laps. It's neat for the start/finish to slow down the cars, but I'd rather have full power the entire rest of the race. I could see myself coming here again as long as the crowds don't make it unreasonable. I guess if you did have a race time an hour or two away, there are many other things to do.

We first started doing this in magical midway, but when that felt too rickety and unsafe, we started looking for other parks, and that's when we found fun spot! We would go multiple times a year every year when we were younger and always took advantage of the anniversary ticket prices. It's been a while since we've gone, but it would definitely be another fun trip with nostalgia . The parks have expanded over the years to add more carnival style rides, and a few roller coasters, which are pretty fun too !

The 5k part was really muddy (thanks to typical soggy Central Florida weather) but the run course was punctuated with color changing psychedelic lights, glowing inflatables, light projections, pounding electronic music, and lots of fun glow gear. I enjoyed the run, despite the mud. When we arrived at the finish line we took some cool blacklight photos set up by The Spark Run then headed over to the DJ area to grab some food and drink. Then it happened-we could not resist Kaskade. The music and the dancing atmosphere was just infectious. We danced for two hours after doing the 5K. The setting, the weather, the music...it was all perfect. I am a huge Kaskade fan now. What a great event!

The mud---rain boots would have been nice, and the cow Manure smell--I kept looking for cows and never saw any. . . The pot. It's rank. Who smokes pot at a 5k anyway? And then there were the ant bites. . . Well, it kept us running. . . It seems like I got more of a tough mudder race for a 5k along with a super show. Such awesomeness !!

ORLANDO SCIENCE CENTER PRESCHOOL REVIEW!!!! …read more Where do I even begin? I want to start with Ms. Juanita. She is one of those educators who you immediately know is doing what she was meant to do. She is incredibly passionate about STEM, education, and learning, but more than that, she is passionate about creating experiences for children that they simply cannot get anywhere else. She goes above and beyond every single day, and you can feel how much she truly cares about the children and their experience at school. I was incredibly lucky to have my oldest son accepted into the Orlando Science Center Preschool when some of our school friends decided to leave our previous preschool for what they felt was a better program. We had heard so much about the Science Center Preschool and knew what an incredible opportunity it would be if we could get a spot. And I am SO grateful we got that spot. My oldest son, who is now 7, truly developed his personality at this school. He wore dinosaur shirts constantly, brought his favorite animal figurines for show & tell every week, and fell completely in love with science, space, engineering, nature, and everything around him. But what I loved most was that the school gave him the freedom and confidence to just be himself. The preschool also taught him something I value tremendously: respect. They celebrated different cultures, values, backgrounds, and perspectives and taught children to appreciate what makes each person unique. That kind of foundation is priceless. My son is now enrolled in one of the top ranked charter schools in the state, and while I am incredibly proud of him and happy with his education and grades, I truly credit the Orlando Science Center Preschool with giving him the fundamentals and confidence that helped prepare him for where he is today. And I have to admit... I miss the dinosaur shirts. I miss the silly Mohawk. But most of all, I miss those daily updates with pictures and videos showing us exactly what our child was experiencing, learning, discovering, and enjoying throughout the day. Fast forward a few years, and I am reminded of all of those things again because my baby, now 3, is officially a Science Center Preschool student. There was absolutely no question in my mind that he would attend this school. He was enrolled in the 3 year old program as soon as we had the opportunity. I wouldn't have missed it for the world. Before starting at the Science Center, my youngest attended a part time church preschool. I want to be very clear that we loved that school and the people there. They were incredibly loving and sweet and will always hold a special place in our family's heart. But having now experienced both environments, I can already see such a difference in the learning style and opportunities when comparing the two side by side. (Ms. Chau, Ms. Michaela my baby loves you!) He WANTS to go learn. For a three year old, I can't think of a better gift than that. My oldest still remembers all of the things that made the Science Center so special. When I asked him what he thought about his little brother going there, his only wish was that he could still go there himself as a second grader. And that says everything. Ms. Juanita somehow always seems to be pulling strings and creating opportunities for our kids, from getting them into special events and theater experiences across the street, opd firetruck surprises, to sending home books, creating incredible show and tell experiences, plays/events for parents and finding ways to make learning exciting and memorable. I still have books that were given to us during my oldest son's preschool years. I still remember the excitement of his weekly show and tell. I remember the daily photos and videos, the weekly take home agendas with curriculum information, and all of the ways the school kept us connected and involved in our child's learning even when we weren't physically there. As a parent, that means so much. You aren't just dropping your child off and hoping they had a good day. You get to SEE it. You get to be part of it. You get to watch them discover something new, make friends, explore, ask questions, and grow. My oldest had such an incredible experience here that there was never a question about where his little brother would go. And now, only two weeks into this new chapter, I am already seeing that same excitement for learning beginning in him. I truly cannot give this school enough credit. Orlando Science Center Preschool is hands down the best preschool in Florida in my eyes. It is so much more than a preschool. It is a place where children are encouraged to be curious, confident, kind, creative, and completely themselves Thank you, Ms. Juanita, and thank you to the entire Orlando Science Center Preschool team, for giving my boys such an incredible foundation and for making school a place they genuinely love. After the experiments, we were free to explore the entire science center, and there's so much to see that we could have stayed for hours longer. The T-Rex theater show was the highlight -- genuinely amazing, and just as fun for the adults as it was for the kids. The staff really made the day. Every person we interacted with was helpful, courteous, and clearly enjoyed being there. Everything ran smoothly from start to finish. Highly recommend this place, whether you're going for a party or just visiting for the day. We'll definitely be back.

Love it, love it…read more The Asian fest is free event located at Bill Frederick Park Turkey Lake. The event is free to all. Normally the park requires $4 fees to enter but the expo was free and make the park entry is free also. The festival is located near the Turkey Lake because they have the Dragon Boat Race. Many team has show up on the race. Since this is fresh water Race, the boat take off is a bit tougher. Because the buoyancies drop the boat deeper in the water. The event included many cultural dance and show. They showcase multi Asian nation culture with great vibe. I was able to see the Tai Chi and the Taiko. It fun to watch the drumming and special traditional dress. There are some food truck and local restaurant. I wish there are more Asian food instead of regular food truck.

There were venders promoting their products. We got free flu shot from the Walgreen tent. Instant noodle company gave away free samples. Different Asia country groups set up booths and introduced their unique cultures and some art and craft activities. On the stage, there were 2 nice MC running the show- singing, dancing, drumming , Tai chi, Kung Fu show, etc . The live performances were wonderful and exciting. Food trucks were available there for people to grab a bite or drink. Dragon boat racing was such a interesting sport to speculate. Team members wore their beautiful uniforms and rowed with all their power trying to win the race. The best team came home with a big trophy and big smile on their faces. Thanks for Asia Trend magazine organized this event so we can enjoy the fun activities and learned different cultures.
