Indoor go karts. It's pretty fun, but for the price, a day at FunSpot is better. It seems too compact. The tracks are not as spacious and interesting as FunSpot either. We left smelling like exhaust and lightheaded from the fumes. It was a one and done trip. read more

It was a lot of fun! We had a big group and were able to all each together. There is also an arcade that you can use while you're waiting to pass the time. I wish there were more seats for when it gets crowded and you were waiting. They sanitize all the helmets and have lockers to put your belongings while you race. I do wish the lockers had locks and weren't just based on the honor code though. You also get your printed results of the race right after the race is over. I would definitely come back here! read more

If you enjoy wasting your time, getting hurt, and being brushed off by staff, this place is perfect. We waited over an hour because the girl at the front desk clearly had no idea what she was doing. Great first impression. When we finally got on the track, the so-called "regulars" treated it like a demolition derby, slamming into us nonstop while employees stood around watching like it was normal. One driver T-boned me hard enough to injure my shoulder and head, forcing me to end the race early. The manager's response? Basically, "I can't stop people from hitting you." Super comforting. As a bonus, about 25% of the arcade games were out of order. And when we tried to redeem our arcade prize, the woman at the front desk told us to go ask the bartender because she was "too busy." Apparently customer service is optional here. Overall, unsafe, unorganized, and wildly unprofessional. I'll never come back, and I highly recommend spending your money literally anywhere else. read more

Yesterday, we had a very bad experience at your K1 Speed ​​location at 5228 Vanguard St., Orlando, FL. Let me start with the reason I am writing to you. My children and grandchildren signed up to race the karts. From the very beginning, I noticed that the two young men in charge of track control were not paying attention; they were allowing several participants to drive very negligently and cause collisions that are prohibited by the rules. During the second race, the lack of control continued--with absolutely no supervision or discipline--until one of the drivers slammed hard into one of my grandchildren's karts, riding up over it and striking my grandchild on the right arm. That is when I went to the manager to complain about the unsafe conditions and the lack of discipline and supervision on the track. I even had to demand that the race be stopped so I could get the rest of my family out. If you have rules and staff to ensure people's safety... why aren't they doing it? What is the point of having supervisors if they aren't paying attention? I asked for a refund, but they refused in a somewhat arrogant manner; I had to ask for names to escalate my complaint, as the manager is completely irresponsible and unfit for the job. On top of that, the wait time to pay and race was excessive, and the level of customer service is very poor. You can verify everything I am telling you by checking your security camera footage. I hope you do not wait for a major accident to occur before taking corrective action. read more

Checked in and paid at 2pm and were told to listen for our name to be called. After 2 hours (and asking once in between) one of our racers had gone twice but the other two were finally told that they didn't have us on the schedule and the "best" they could do was put us in a race in about an hour since they were getting busy now. We explained that would be three hours from when we checked in and asked if there was anyway they could move us up. Finally, they told us they could get us on the 4:10pm race. At 4:15 PM they called another racing group but we were not on the list. Asked the front desk again and they told us we were still on the 4:10pm race but that one had not been called yet. At 4:45 PM they finally called the "4:10pm" race. Due to carts breaking down twice (which we noticed happening frequently during other races contributing to the back up) it was about 5pm when we finally started at our first race. After that race, we asked the front desk to confirm we were on the next race as we were told we would have our next three races back to back since they forgot to schedule us. Front desk remembered us, but when they pulled up, the computer said something happened again and we were not scheduled for another race. Again, we're told they could try to get us on in about an hour, we've reminded them how long we've been waiting. They sent us to another person who was able to get us on the next race. By 6 PM we were on our third and final race. The track and carts were only "ok" compared to other indoor go kart places in town and definitely not worth spending four hours to do three races. read more

This was our first time visiting a K1 and it will be my last. The employees running the track were highly unprofessional. They allowed others racing to continually smack into the back of my kart and then proceeded to keep slowing me down the whole race. This place is expensive and I am very disappointed in our experience. I will not be back. read more

OK, so we had high expectations and we stopped here for a different experience than going to the Florida parks. This place was a huge disappointment. It took forever upon arrival to get checked in and to pay for our races. They were only two groups in front of us and I believe we waited in line for about 30 to 40 minutes after we entered our information at the kiosks. As we waited for our race, we stopped at the bar to get soda and water. The young lady working the bar seemed be a little high or off or something was wrong with her. She kept stopping, forgetting orders, putting her head down, laughing and giggling being really silly for no apparent reason. We went with a group of five, and when it was our turn to race, we were given the rules and we put on helmets and were seated in the go karts for another 15 minutes until another race completed. There were a few kids with us too from another party. The other race paused several times, and there was a big incident where someone was actually bleeding. people were running and everything! We should have requested a refund and gotten out of the karts at that moment, but we didn't. Right before our race was to begin, they added one last person to the race who had his own helmet maybe a regular or an employee. We would've had much more fun without this character joining us. (Blue shirt guy standing in my pic) The race started and as we were trying to get a feel for the kart to figure out how they work testing speed, the clown they let join crashed into me several times. He was not only smacking into me, he was smacking into several people trying to make his time and not one time did they pause the race for him or ask him to stop what he was doing or remove him. Me trying to speed up to go away from this person made a mistake when I was going into a turn and I hit another car pushing gas by accident instead of the brake and immediately the race was paused and I was removed from the race with the other person I ran into. One booboo and removed? The teen I hit and I were both pretty certain that it was not on purpose and as we were talking, he agreed that someone was hitting everyone. His father and his mother was watching the race and also agreed that it was crazy that we were removed and there was a person that was continuously hitting other people trying to make a time or something. We paid for 2 - 12 lap races and I did not want to continue to participate in the last. I was all done. My oldest daughter did not want to proceed either. My husband was pissed and informed them before they started the next race and told them that guy that they added in the previous race hitting folks not to be added to his last race. With him being removed, they had a smooth race. We were sorry we wasted my husband's money, but it just was not worth the headache to me after the first experience. I would certainly not recommend. Please get adults on site to monitor this operation. Was a huge disappointment. read more

Unsafe at any speed. I went here for Father's Day and brought my two sons who are 12 and 10 respectively. We bought the 3 lap session. The first session went fine and we were gearing up for the second session when they placed us in cars that drove significantly different than the first cars that basically had no traction. That's not the real problem though. There was a teenager that was driving extremely recklessly and twice did a takedown maneuver on both my boys spinning them out. Maybe a fluke but after that session was over the last session also had this same boy T bone my son as he was going around a corner. Both races resulted in more than 50% of the laps in caution with this joker causing mayhem. My son now has bruises up and down his back from the multiple hard hits. You would think that it would end there but after 10 laps on the second race my younger son's car simply stopped on the track. They had him walk back to the staging area during a caution but didn't credit him any laps or another race. Also, at no point did any of the people working there do a seatbelt check on my kids. It wasn't until afterwards I found that they said they were sliding around the seats. Last and probably least but still annoying is that I now have a pair of ruined shorts. Whatever they use to clean the cars got all over my shorts (black stuff) and it won't come out. Having been through Skip Barber racing program I'm simply appalled at the lack of safety that the employees exhibited. Someone is going to get seriously hurt if they don't turn things around and kick out these reckless kids. As it is, it's just gross negligence. Skip this place and go somewhere else where they have some sense of concern for safety and their customers satisfaction. read more

We were visiting Orlando and were both excited to go to K1, looking forward to having a great time, but that wasn't the case. I was frustrated that my car was significantly slower than some of the others, even though I have experience with go-karting. It felt completely unfair, especially since the race started with other racers already having a head start. My girlfriend was constantly being bumped into by a group of guys who were clearly doing it on purpose. The fourth time, they pushed her into the wall so hard that her helmet almost fell off, and despite seeing everything, the referee didn't intervene. We're both very disappointed. read more

If you've never been to any K1 location, you're missing out on the best electric go carts around. This particular location was no different than the one in Miami but with the main track much longer and more challenging. After 1 session, my fingers were numb as could be and I couldn't move them after I was done even with wearing my gym gloves, but on my second time out, I was able to get the top 11th fastest time of the week with heavy traffic too. A much more difficult track but one that will keep you alert trying to hone in on the track skills. Front staff and track staff were as friendly as could be and very appreciated; I asked the starter if he could place me and my racing partner to the front and he obliged, that way would be mostly out of traffic but that didn't last long after we both started lapping most of the others. Note: This place is so much better than the iDrive place that's close to the Orlando Premium Outlets that's full of tourists and most people that can't drive. read more

We came here for a Bachelor Party activity and overall, it wasn't bad but it needs improvements. The private event brought a private party room, a qualifier race, the actual 14 lap race, 3 medals (1st - 3rd place) and a $150 voucher covers the food and drinks. In terms of food, we ordered wings, chips/salsa, mozzarella sticks, and a few other things. Food was great, although the Sprite tasted like a Club Soda... Very odd taste. Due note, at the end of the event you are met with a 30% gratitude for all staff, not just the waiter. I didn't know this. I don't know why we're leaving a tip for employees that aren't waiters. They just slide this in without telling you... Always read the receipts. We had a standstill race something you'd see in F1. The race was fun, the entire track was private all to ourselves although the karts on the other hand felt like it loses a lot of traction. When you let off of the acceleration and turn around a corner, the kart jumps and skips while others with traction can just ease into a corner and past you. Bit of an unfair advantage. When the race ends is there no way to know who wins when it comes to the races. You get an email just stating who wins via best lap times not by who came in first place. A bit odd. This should be changed for how much a race is. Also, there is only 1 TV on the wall that shows on track statistics out of the entire wall space, I except a bit more so we can know who's in the first, the best track time and more. We could also maybe have this TV screen in the restaurant, private rooms and more so that people can know who's on the track. As a viewer, there's 0 way to tell who's in the lead or not. K1 is fun, but it has a lot of needed changes in order for it to become competitive for both the racer and spectator. read more

I just wish I had read Yelp before going. We were originally going to go to Andretti's but diverted due to how busy it was. K1 being empty should have been the first give away. This place is being put out of business by the competition and rightfully so after my experience. Went with my son who is of driving age. What we found was at 5pm on a Friday they had as many employees as customers. The main issue for us was on @8-10 year old who's mom had funded him running races all day, every day for the week (has to be in the thousands of dollars at that point). Because of this he was allowed to do whatever he wanted on the course, infractions that should have gotten him bounced out but then there goes the money. Ramming people and cutoffs made easy since he weighed 1/3 of everyone else and I now realized they can bump a cars speed individually. When the kid is shooting the sht between races with the staff you should realize the preference. The killer for me was him flipping people off when he wasn't allowed a clean pass. All I can say is sportsmanship is not enforced. It is a boys club. Don't expect to walk in and be treated equally. Go to Andretti's. You may have to deal with crowds but you'll have a better experience. I will never again go to K1. read more

Of the various indoor go kart places in the area, this is by far the best overall. Better karts, bigger track and the overall setup of the bar with several tables and seating where you can also watch the racers is really good. When we went months ago it seemed they were struggling a bit to get themselves organized with the food orders so there was a bit more confusion and delays than we would have liked but nothing major. In the end they made things right and nobody had to leave hungry or thirsty. If you are trying to decide between Andretti's and K1, absolutely go with K1 if your goal is racing go karts. The Andretti's course is tiny and karts seem very slow in comparison. read more

Horrible costumer service and lack of common sense! I went with 6 more friends and we called before and asked if we were able to have a run only for our group and they said yes, when we got there and paid for 3 runs each (which is expensive and not worth it) we waited for 30 min to start and there were more 2 unknown people (little boys) that were hitting me ALL THE TIME and I wasn't able to drive and were far from my friends and they kept hitting me in purpose. After we finished, we went to complain and they just ignored and weren't compassionate with the situation, as we had required it to be just our group, they agreed and we were harmed because the children hindered our game, which is expensive and everything was well explained before. We asked at least an opportunity to run for more 5 min together ONLY OUR GROUP as required. They are not respectful with costumers and lack of sense. We understand that they just want our money and that's it. Not flexible and not respectful! Don't recommend at all! read more

We came to k1 speed for a friends birthday, we were expecting to purchase one single race per person as stated online and all other locations have allowed. At the counter, my group of friends and I asked for a single race per person, we were mischarged and were given 2-3 races per person. We were not informed that we were being charged for two races per person or that we could not purchase one race at a time. We came expecting to pay around 25$ per person but it equaled out to 62.42 per person which is equivalent to the speed pass that includes two races, a t shirt, and a license. We only received the races and the license. When we spoke with the manager Charlie, who selling us the tickets, and he told us that they do not sell one race at a time and we had to buy 2 each. The bundle (two races) he showed us states you are saving 4$ by purchasing two races at once instead of multiple single races. This implies that you could purchase one race at a time as we thought. Besides that, I am also dissatisfied with the experience; my friends who did race experienced faulty cars where the first race was cut early and the second race they drove cars that were much slower than other cars as other people have reviewed before. read more

I'm extremely disappointed in my visit here. I've driven karts at other K1s across the country and this one is by far the worse. I have a back ground in karts and road racing and like to think I half way know what I'm doing. The karts are all so inconsistent and borderline broken. I've never experienced electric karts that have such inconsistencies in power. It's not uncommon to have to have some bent ones from wrecks but all of the karts here seem to be on their last leg. The races are incredibly short. Usually they're ten minutes at most places. They do 12 laps. And 25-27 seconds a lap. Do the math. Not a good value. Last the track is very boring at the speeds these karts go. I literally didn't have to brake. The track is is nearly able to be done at full throttle then it just depends on how fast the kart is. Literally go anywhere else in the Orlando area. Orlando kart center is an outdoor track that is a lot of fun. read more

If my child was being unsafe you should have removed her from the race instead of lowering her speed and not allowing other cars to hit her. I was also in the adult race where speeds were adjusted and bumped several times in my car by someone of what you told us was "Very Experienced" and a frequent member of your facility. I went to K1 recently for a birthday with a large group and we all had a blast. The staff there was more than helpful from start to finish. Jenesis was polite and friendly; Ryan was funny and helped us all put our equipment on the correct way and was clear in explaining everything to us and Julio was awesome in keeping ya safe but letting us loose on the track. We are all very competitive but we had a blast racing. Would highly recommend for a date night or party, as long as everyone can refrain from running each other off the track and keep it competitive but fun and safe. Wow!! Talk about an adrenaline rush. This place is super fun. Can't wait to go back. The go karts are super fast. Nice atmosphere.

They don't start off with a safety meeting before you start racing and expect you to know all the rules. But shut your car down when someone wrecks into you and makes your car slow to the point others are smacking into you. If I could put no stars I would. Also we asked for two games a piece and they charged us for that but once it got to the end of the first race they said you only paid for one and the lady never gave us the receipt so these people are a bunch of crooks. read more
