Hotei!!! I was so happy I nearly wet my plants...we went to Lael's Moon Garden Nursery in Rochester and enjoyed the afternoon walking around 5 acres of amazing landscapes. We spent $500 and added two trees, a bamboo bush and a Hotei statue to our home. Delivery is free if you spend $500 and only $25 if you don't. We will be back to take a picnic and enjoy the surroundings a little longer. They are pet friendly although Camo the cat didn't seem to like the dogs who were visiting. If you need to know anything about anything green on the property ask Larry. There should be more stars for this place. A must! read more

We recently took a trip to the nursery from Olympia. It is a wonderful nursery with some unique gardens to walk through. The staff was extremely helpful. We wound up purchasing more than we needed. They have a very wide variety of plants and trees for sale. Even if you are not in a buying mood it is a great place to walk around. Prices on plants were reasonable. read more

I recently purchased several large shade trees from Lael's Moon Garden Nursery. I liked the large selection of trees and other plants, and they offer delivery unlike the big box stores. Prices are reasonable and everything is kept watered, unlike some nurseries where I want to tell the staff to water those brown, crunchy plants! Larry Lael delivered and helped me plant the trees, and gave some great tips on how to plant. The trees are large, healthy and have transformed the yard. I'm very pleased with the new look! They are awesome, with big healthy trees and plants at a reasonable cost. Very professional and very helpful. I highly recommend them. After a disappointing experience ordering from another Nursery and returning the trees before we ever got out of the driveway. This was a breath of fresh air, you get to pick your trees And they were all twice as big and had twice the roots as the other nursery for way less. Some were already in huge pots. We have purchased a large number of trees and shrubs and have been a loyal customer for several years and have referred several friends and neighbors to Lael's. Their pricing is not the cheapest but their people are wonderful and their stock has always been healthy. We recently purchased a small tree from them which was planted in our landscape in Elma the day after we purchased it. After a few days it began to turn brown and appeared to have died. It was planted near other new plants which did not die so we did not suspect lack of water. We called the nursery and spoke with the owner who told us that they did not guarantee their products and would not replace it or give us a credit. We will no longer purchase from them and can't, in good faith, recommend them to friends and neighbors. When I told the owner that we were no longer going to use them nor would we refer customers to them he said that we should use other nurseries and I assured him we will surely follow his advice. The tree only cost us $30 so it is no big loss but his loss of business from us and the people that we tell about this experience will FAR exceed that amount. I'm not sure what their profit margin is but even if he could have met us half way on this he would have kept us as a customer but he seems to believe that customers are so easy to come by that retaining loyal customers is not that important. read more
