This year, we finally found Bennie's! She allowed us to make custom pre-orders in January when she was still selecting flowers. She showed us her Proven Winners catalog and had great suggestions for what would grow well together. Today we picked up our baskets and they look fabulous. I can't wait to see what they look like in August! The only disappointment was that with 11 hanging baskets in the Suburban, I only had room to take home 1 more plant. So back to Bennie's we'll go to bring home some beautiful geraniums, lavender, clematis, roses, or dozens of other annuals and perennials. Everything looked extremely healthy and vigorous. Customers are spoiled for choice, and prices are extremely reasonable. Well worth the 3 hour round trip!

Then 2 years went by and we wanted more flowering cherry trees and for some reason we bought them elsewhere. Out of the 4 we bought elsewhere only 1 survived. We recently bought 3 more from Bennie's. Plus their flower selection is pretty phenomenal. And the gals there know what they're doing.

Flamingo willow or dappled willow). I searched for this kind of tree for a couple years, it is difficult to find so I was pleased to see they had a couple. I also bought a beautiful healthy Dick Clark rose. I found their prices to be competitive and fair.

I'm told that they will be having a Grand opening soon and will offer workshops and classes. They have a good selection, especially of "bare root" trees ( which they potted in big peat pots that can go right on the ground). When I looked at the fruit trees and figured the cost of pots, trees, and soil, it's a really good buy.

We purchased a soil testing kit which is yet to be determined on what our results are but once we get a chance we will utilize it and see what needs to be done. We have been here several times in the past and always liked their plant selection and statuary and other ornaments you can use for your yard. They have some very nice windchimes in which we want to get sometime... ones with a deep resonating sound and they do have ones here that look to be of good quality! I don't know if they still do it and I am thinking if memory serves you can chicks here in the Spring. Super cute little chickens! We'd love to have some but aren't quite ready to take on more pets but perhaps someday!

The staff are really helpful with questions and seem knowledgeable, but also let you wander around unaccosted. The plants look really healthy and are locally grown I'm told. I was looking for a very specific tree as a gift for a friend with no luck until I called The Brothers. They had a bare root specimen of the exact tree I was looking for at a GREAT price! This is way more than a greenhouse. It's a very large nursery with a huge selection of indoor plants, gardening supple and tools, as well as a huge variety of landscape plants. Staff were friendly, knowledgeable and patient as well as we selected THE tree. Helped us wrap it and load it. I can report that the tree is in the ground at our friend's house, has leafed out and looks great! Give them a look!
