Educational posters with the farm animals!

We went on a Monday, which was a federal holiday. The crowds were manageable and there were lots of activities. For two adults, we paid over $35 just to get in the door. Felt gouged. Our 2 year old and 4 month old were free. Pony ride was an extra $8. Pumpkins are the most expensive in the area at 99¢ per pound, which seems like a lot considering we've already paid to get in the door. There are fun playgrounds within that the 2 year old could play on, several farm animals to look at. The total area to enjoy is really big! For the age appropriate activities I would take my family to a public park and a free pumpkin patch next year. They had no food vendors open, I think this is a spot for improvement on federal holidays when more people are able to go on a week day. Double R Farms in puyallup has less activities but great pumpkins (45¢/lb) and no entry fee, my recommendation for younger families.

So expensive to enter before we even purchased anything. Entry fees are exorbitant. Having acknowledged that fact, our grandson had an awesome time and really enjoyed the jumper, the animals--who looked well cared for, and the zip line. The setting is beautiful for family photos, especially at sunset. The corn maze and lookout were awesome! The train ride is worth taking even though that was additional money. The hay ride to the maze was great.

Three star rating, based primarily on value. The Sunflower experience is $14 per person ($12 for military) which affords you to pick and take home one sunflower of your choice... you arrive to park in the grass, walk in and take a tractor ride to the sunflower fields. There is one main, wide path through the center with one stand to purchase food at and several photo ops. It's essentially a selfie-lovers paradise or a great spot to take some family photos... but not such a great place since there is absolutely no entertainment other than picking a single sunflower. The walking paths are rough and even in flat shoes, we tripped several times. Most area are best up from being tread on, flowers knocked over, and overall the fields are pretty small. The "gift shop" area which we had hoped to enjoy is only about 1/8th put together so outside of a few Halloween items there wasn't anything much else to do. Our family of 4 ran me $120 for tickets + fee (they charge $1.50 per ticket to print at home or email), 1 corn dog, and 1 kettle corn. We will probably come back for the Halloween stuff to give it another shot but this was a pretty big disappointment for the expense.

Entrance to the field brought in via tracker. Boutique for sales

SUNFLOWER FIRLD EXPERIENCE So Instagram worthy Service dogs only $10 per ticket for a tractor ride and one flower only two weekends You're taking it via a tractor which is about a five minute bumpy ride. It seemed like all the kids were loving it and it is a very nice tractor so don't worry. They have set this field up to be Instagram worthy I have no other words other than to say there are so many hidden gems in that field it is amazing. The other night I wanna make is there are so many varieties of sunflowers in this field it's actually quite amazing. We were looking at all of the different varieties and we're just blown away at how gorgeous and stunning these flowers really were. They do some snacks and I really enjoy the popcorn it says it's kettle corn but it's not as sweet as your typical kettle corn and has a perfect amount of salt which I absolutely love. You can also buy more flowers and they have cute little buckets or they'll give you a bag of water and you can use your own vase Truly enjoyed my experience here and thank you so much for all the kindness and I have to say that I was really Covid safe everybody was doing masks when you couldn't social distance but there was plenty of space and they did not allow it to be overcrowded at least of the day that I went so I really appreciated that and thank you so much for doing that. Please go support your local farmer

    Beautiful pumpkins!

Such a great place to go with family and friends in the Summer and Fall. Sunflower mazes, corn mazes, and an expansive pumpkin patch are just a few of the many attractions this place has to offer. Great prices on pumpkins, big or small! Can't wait to go this later this year!

"Cow milking" station for the little ones.

Drove out to pick some pumpkins and ended up with a unique, fun experience! This place has a million things to keep the little ones busy for hours, playgrounds, trains, animals galore and yummy treats! Lots of people working and keeping things orderly and we luckily got a break in the rain and saw how diligent they were being about keeping things tidy. Awesome little farm and excited to be back for Christmas time!

Who's not ever wanted to be children of the corn!?!

We definitely had a blast. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. We were upset at how people messed up the maze they put so much work into. We LOVED the beer barn, grab a drink finished it off on the patio (can't walk around with it) and then went on our way. This was helpful because my man did not want to be there! Haha. He ended up having just as good of a time as i did. The snacks were so good and everything is priced fairly! It was kid and adult friendly!

Do we need to buy tickets before coming?

You can purchase them online in order to plan ahead. They do limit bodies due to Covid, so could be a good idea. You don't HAVE to, however, as you can purchase them at the front. NOTE: they do charge a fee when you purchase online so it's a tad…

    Is this place pet friendly?

Our insurance at the farm will not allow us to have outside pets.

This was about 30 minutes after opening and the small parking lot was completely full. Cars were parked haphazardly all along the street, making it difficult for two way traffic (we had to drive on the grass). Luckily as soon as we pulled into the parking lot a car reversed out. Score! Picking is hectic but organized. They give boxes out at the main stall and have a flag system to mark how far down the row has been picked. The problem is that most people didn't actually use the flags. On the other hand, it's not like the rows were picked very well in the first place. We started at a random one in the middle and there were still plenty of huge and juicy ripe strawberries even on the first couple of plants. We ended up filling our entire box, weighing in at 8.25 pounds by around half way down the row. At $4.75 that was almost $40 in strawberries! The employees said that they would rotate to a second field of strawberries later in the day for more fresh picking. The strawberry variety of the day was Puget Crimson. Since this was the first day, the cream of the crop were still available, meaning huge, juicy, flavorful, ripe strawberries all over. Puget Crimson typically seen at farm stands and markets are medium and small size; these were massive, with the larger ones averaging over 35 grams a piece. Nicely sweet too - I measured a mash of five strawberries at 10.9 brix and a second at 12.1 brix! This particular variety has a decent amount of acidity, but are all full flavored, unlike the first pick of Sweet Sunrise I had a couple of weeks ago, which were huge but somewhat watery. They are deep red/crimson in color, especially for the extremely ripe ones, and mostly conical, although we found a small number of mutants, one looking like 4 or 5 strawberries fused together! Check out is easy. Pro-Tip: there are two checkout lines, one on each side of the stall. The line furthest away from the pathway to the strawberry fields seems to always be shorter. In my case, only 3 groups in line instead of 20+ groups. Warning: these strawberries are planted on top of very sandy dirt, which sticks to the strawberries. Even after soaked and scrubbing, dirt still sticks onto the skin! I will definitely be revisiting Duris Strawberry Farm next year for their first day of strawberry picking!

She said they have great produce so we stopped there on the way home along River road and I'm so glad we did. They had big juicy sweet strawberries picked today just like she said. It was a great tip so I'm paying it forward for anyone who is looking for strawberries. It's best to call them before you go since when they run out, they close and we barely made in time after a late lunch. They only had a few half flats of strawberries bu the time we got there. GPS got us there the back way but once we found it, I have to say it's very easy to find.

This mama has converted her backyard into a blueberry lover's dream!! When I asked her - how did this get started? She simply replied 'We never had enough blueberries from the few plants in our backyard' so they cleared a larger section of their lot and expanded. Now with 100's of plants in an amazing variety they have what seems like an unlimited amount and are sharing the wealth. I love that this farm is so close by for an easy day trip and pricing per lb can't be beat. It's by appointment only which takes a bit of extra work and planning but allows you a quiet experience with the whole place to yourself. Jami explained all the varieties and encourages taste testing while you pick. Our favorites ended up being classic Earliblue, sweet Blue Ribbon and giant Chandler. We walked away with 14lbs (about an hour of 2 adults picking for reference) which turned into a blueberry buckle, muffins, jam, ice cream, smoothie bowl topping and plain ol' fresh summer good eats. We can't wait to go back next summer!

Follow directions from whatever maps app. Parking is in the field next to the farm produce stand. Not sure when produce stand is open but it looked more lively by the time we left around 11:30. I purchased tickets online and sort of wandered into the store because it was unclear where to redeem tickets. We checked out the wall ball game and jumped on the jump pad and made big bubbles. Spun the chairs but didn't actually get in them, checked out the funny little singing tractor and sat on some bulls that had no lasso. We then wandered over to where there was a sign for sunflower field and waited for the tractor. We would've gotten a snack but settled on some waters from the store. ($2 each). Each admission comes with 1 sunflower bloom, you can get more but we weren't really interested. It was fun at the sunflower field to admire the flowers and go around the photo op spots. We both enjoyed trying to find the perfect flower. Good advice from the people at the stand to wait to pick a flower until you're waiting for the tractor - sunflowers droop pretty quick (mine perked up at home). They package it up for taking home nicely at the stand. I think this would be a good trip for an exuberant 4-6 year old and the full train of women coming out to the fields as we were leaving seemed to indicate it's a joyful ladies day trip. If you want flower pics, you can't lose here. 4 stars because it was worth doing but nothing special and I was hoping some of the games were geared towards slightly older kids.
