It has the footprint of a big triangle and is beautiful no matter which direction you look. The design and layout needs to be redone in many other cities - why reinvent the wheel? Little trail if you just want to walk too. Perfect for the pooch. Mr Wolfie will want to come with you on this outing. Family friendly. Bring the kids too. Super clean and safe and no worries. It's the perfect spot for a picnic, a party, a walk, for dogs, to take your kids... just about everything! Lots of big grassy fields and tall trees that provide a ton of shady areas. There are tons of kids play areas with slides, swings, and other rides that I'm still trying to figure out?! Yeah... some of those rides look a little strange, but I digress... They have picnic tables galore! You can reserve one of the picnic areas for special events and parties. The last time I was here, someone was throwing a party for their little girl here. It's truly the best spot to do it at! You have a grill and so many tables to host people. This park is connected to a small swim center that has a pool and the most adorable little water slides! It's a hop and a skip away from the Lindsay Wildlife museum. There's a basketball, tennis, and volleyball court on site and restrooms are easily accessible. What I love about this park is that one of my favorite walking and hiking trails runs right through it: the Briones to Mount Diablo Trail! You can park at Larkey Park and take this trail all the way to Acalanes Ridge and even to the backside of Briones Regional Park! It's apart of Walnut Creek open space. There are a few other local walking trails that connect here as well. On nice sunny days, this park fills up with a ton of locals but it never feels overcrowded. Sometimes they have community activities that can be seen on their posted calendar. There's a small parking lot off of 1st and Buena Vista Street but there's also plenty of street parking on many of the side streets. It's a great local park with tons of activities.

I don't tend to come here much as the grass bothers my allergies, but it's a lovely walk in Fall and hooks right up to the nearby trail.

Hap Magee's Canine Corral was a wonderful experience for my gentle-tempered pup. Every owner in the small dog area was very respectful and carefully watching their dogs to make sure every pup was behaving well with one another. I really appreciated their etiquette and all the dogs were so sweet. My pup had the best time here and we'll definitely be regulars!

I figured I'd comment on here due to the other comments about the "dog park" being so great. Let me…read morebe honest, your dog should not be off-leash if it doesn't have a recall. I can't stress this enough because the owners who seem to come here every morning do NOT watch their dogs like the comments say. I understand everyone does things differently and can have a different opinion here, but my dog and I like to come to the field and train (she's a service/search and rescue dog) and interacting with other dogs we don't know can ruin her training. The morning that we came, we luckily got here early enough. These people don't respect boundaries- it's completely okay to have your dog off-leash if you're around us, but please make sure it's protected under voice control. It's extremely unsafe (speaking as a professional here) to allow your dog to roam off-leash with absolutely no training. If someone is new to the area and brings a dog that's reactive, it'll be very scary if a random dog approaches it. You should be able to train your dog to come to you when asked. I hope these owners learn just a little bit more respect to those who have dogs that don't want to say hi to other dogs, you guys do not own the park, and it should feel safe to everyone.

We looked up this park, and our son loved the playground! This park is not very big, and you have to find parking in the community on the backside. The main street doesn't have a shoulder or parking. It was still easy to park, and the our son gravitated towards the slides. He had a great time, and my wife packed snacks that they enjoyed in the shade. It was still late Summer, so the late mornings get a little hot. We didn't know, but a Costco is nearby in case you want to grab some food. We will definitely be back on a future haircut visit, or just to mix it up from our kids regular park trips. The park is right off the 680 on the Danville/San Ramon border. This park is located right of the 242, its easy to access with lots of parking. The kids get to play in a small scale castle, stores, and boat spaces to keep them entertained. Every time we come here, our older son just runs around until we say it's time to go home. We go for walks in the neighboring park and fields to get some exercise in as well. Check out this park if you're in the Concord/Martinez area to discover something new. They recently updated the fields nearby and parking lot. They have food trucks on the weekends. You will have fun!

Generally it's a nice little playground. A couple of things though, I think I went when it was a little warm, it had this strange smell of either melted crayons or microwaved plastic. Something didn't sit right. The other thing was that I noticed that there were a lot of different trucks driving by (garbage, moving, transport, vans, regular trucks). Maybe people just drive a lot of trucks in the area, I'm not too sure. There's a lot of shade outside of the park but inside could get pretty warm. I'm not sure if I'd come back, but at least I know it's there!
