We strolled through the park and were amazed at the upgrades the city has made! First off, it's way bigger: there's a huge new grassy area that was being used by adult soccer, and a satellite parking lot. A walking path weaves throughout the park, making for a nice stroll. Picnic tables abound, including many with deluxe sun canopies. There are two playgrounds, one brand new from when we were last there. Tennis courts as well. And, as before, it's an easy walk to connect with other trails. Kudos to Walnut Creek on the work done to make this park even better.

It's perfect especially for those who live in the area and have pets to walk. I've l seen lots of families walking around and hanging out in the park, and also kids playing sports (soccer, volleyball, etc.). It has a good playground there too. But what I like the most about this park is it provides complimentary doggie bags to encourage dog walkers to help keep the park clean. It also provides plenty of trash cans for use. My dog seems super happy whenever she's at this park - the grass looks healthy, some trees look well grown and huge, which tells me they're watered and taken care of well. I also feel safe walking around this park during the day.

A gravel path winds its way around the park and you can get a decent walk if you do a few revolutions. Obviously loved by the neighbourhood, a steady stream of visitors were here on a Sunday morning. Parking can be an issue as there is no dedicated parking lot. Adjacent to Concord High, if school is out you can usually park in the school parking lot. However, when school is in session, it's difficult. The small neighborhood parking area off the East park entrance (where we used to be able to park) is now labeled a "tow away zone", with any nearby curbs painted red. So when school is in session, you are forced to either park near someone's house or forget about this park. Neighborhood use only at those times apparently, unfortunate for those of us without a neighborhood park.

It's a cute little park on the corner of a nice residential area in Lafayette. One of the nicest parts of it, is it feels like the kids are contained inside of the park. There's a fence around the whole park. I think while we were there, someone sort of "lost" their kid and found them immediately and there wasn't that fear of the kid running off or getting hit by a car because of that gate/fence. The play areas are super cute, there's tons of options for different aged kids. They have this great swing where the kids can go on it at the same time (attached). I love innovative playgrounds like this! It keeps things interesting for kids and challenges them. I would love to come back to this park and if I'm in the Lafayette area, I definitely will!

I realize our intelligence seems to have declined as a society at this point but you don't give a movie theatre one star because the person in front of you farted during a movie. *Insert eyeroll emoji here* This park is super cute and we are so glad we stopped here. The dog areas are separated and (let me be clear that I am not factoring this into the rating but) there were lots of other friendly courteous dog owners while we were there. They had grass, water, poo bags, shade, benches and even tables inside the dog area. Apart from that, the park itself is nice. There are lost of well maintained grassy areas so even if you don't want to have your dog off-leash, there are plenty of places to walk them or play on a lead. There is parking really close to the dog area for anyone who might have mobility issues and there was a clean open bathroom available for use. We were only able to stay about 30 minutes but we really didn't want to leave. This is a great park to enjoy if you are in the area with or without a dog.
