My experience with the Port Washington office of Douglas Elliman was extremely disappointing…read more My home was listed significantly below the price I had expected, and I was presented with an immediate offer from another agent within the same office. This raised serious concerns about whether my interests as the seller were being represented fairly. After terminating my listing agreement, I encountered ongoing problems getting my property released from the MLS and Zillow, making it difficult for other agents to access the listing and for me to market the property. My new Realtor ultimately had to intervene to obtain the necessary MLS release. The situation also resulted in continued communications regarding a buyer introduced through the brokerage, leaving me concerned about potential commission liability even after ending our business relationship. Throughout this process, I found communication to be poor and the handling of my transaction to be unprofessional. Based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend this office. Sellers should carefully review all listing documents, confirm the listing price before their home is marketed, and fully understand any release documents before signing them. I hope others have a better experience than I did.

We met with the Realtor and she acted as if she never read my emails. like she didnt know what we were looking for what our price range was and only wanted to show us places that were convenient for her. On top of that we weren't sure of the laws in NY, with the broker's fee. we finally found a place and met the landlord. then the landlord was upset with them because he said he only wanted a 3 year lease, but we were informed that it was a 1 year lease. They wouldn't even do a credit check for us. we had to do it ourselves. It was just a bad experience on top of moving.
