I gave him a budget and while he told me that it was very strict, he asked me to check out a few places available. I was resigned to settle for a small 2BR; however, as I was checking out one of his recommended apts, he contacted me regarding a much larger 2BR which had just been placed on the market. I did the paper work the latter and received t the approval/keys in less than a business week. On the second occasion, after my roommate and I decided to part ways, I contacted Milton. To be honest, prior to doing this I had previously applied to another apt I had seen on Craigslist, but that deal went nowhere (Note to the reader: Stay away from Best Apartments Inc. They are very unprofessional and unethical). I informed Milton about my current budget, location, and moving date. He showed me around a few places and once I had settled on one, had me submit the application. I was approved the next day, and the lease was signed within the next 24Hrs. This apartment had a 15% broker fee, but I didn't mind paying it as Milton had come to my rescue (for free) in the past. I can't say enough good things about the guy. He's very professional, acts very quickly and will give you his honest opinion about an area or building. I highly recommend him.

Over the course of my apartment sale, it felt again and again like he was advocating for the buyer, not for me. I told him clearly and repeatedly that the sale was "as is," but he kept pushing back as though he didn't understand or simply chose to ignore me -- this same pattern ran through much of our interactions, with him just pushing and pushing. Communication was close to impossible. He told me four separate times over three weeks that he'd return my keys, and never did. Getting a status update was like pulling teeth -- at one point I had to ask the same question three days in a row before getting a response. When I raised these communication problems, he insisted there'd never been any issue, just ten days after telling me himself, "I'm not sure if we are on the same page." He also wasn't a reliable source of information. He reversed a confident statement about appraiser requirements within half an hour of making it. He called a smoke detector setup "sufficient," then reversed himself that same evening. He predicted a gas permit would take three weeks -- some of the delay was his recommended plumber's fault, but it still ran well past that estimate. He even claimed a pipe had "always" been outside the wall, which I know for a fact wasn't true. I fired him at one point over all this, but had to bring him back on since he was the agent who'd shown the unit to the buyer who ultimately purchased it. Shortly before closing, he pushed hard for a price reduction from $740,000 to $700,000 -- the deal eventually closed at $740,000 -- but he seemed to consistently argue for what the buyer wanted rather than holding firm on my behalf. If you're selling, I'd look elsewhere -- this was genuinely a horrible experience.

They have so much security but yet people are still outside with open containers smoking gambling and allegedly selling stuff. The community is horrible and there is just nothing pleasant to say about this place. Piss and all other types of fluids/liquids on the elevator floors spit on the elevator walls. I wouldn't recommend this complex to anyone especially for those of us who have to work and pay rent. This complex is nasty ghetto and down right horrible. I don't even invite people over. It's very depressing walking out of the building everyday to see the same nastiness going on everyday.
