Our home is well over a century old - not a straight wall or level floor in the place. After removing all to be replaced, he was able to straighten those walls and fix the floor, prep and paint, install all new cabinetry, hang two new doors where bi-folds had been and created an exterior vent for the new over-the-stove microwave unit. When Darrell ran into unexpected issues (because, old house), he consulted with us to troubleshoot possible approaches to fixes and, when we arrived at a best approach, that's the action he took - all to our satisfaction. And that's at the core of what we loved about working with Darrell; he's not happy unless we were happy with his work, not satisfied until we were satisfied. He routinely checked in with us throughout his process to make sure he was meeting this goal. Then they continued to clean and test them until they saw they were working and draining properly. I could not have had a better job done. They are very reasonably priced as well. I will have them back in the late Fall to clean the gutters again. While they were here I asked for an estimate on power washing the house, a large center hall colonial. The estimate they gave was under $200 almost half of what other companies charge. When the time comes I will have them power wash the house. I highly recommend them.

I had to keep calling/emailing the office to check on status of windows. When I was told the windows would be in I had to email a week past what they told me to get an update. I understand the whole Covid thing and short staffed but I used this company to support a local business and what I got was the worst experience ever. When we did lock in an install date the 518 handyman ordered the wrong size. I was then told to fix it they could do the smaller window install and charge me more for the sheetrock, etc. for the additional work needed or go with the size I ordered but it would be $200 more a window. I would never use this company ever. Their updates were horrific and I was told something different each time. Then the day of the install I'm told sorry we have the wrong size but you can pay more if you want. Worse Contractor service I have ever experienced. Out of a 5 star I had to give them a 1 because there was no option for a 0. When the lady called me back to credit me not one mention of we are sorry about this mix up. That alone tells me what I unfortunately had to find out the hard way.
