This park has a large enclosed open space and is generally empty or has few people around which has been the draw for why I started coming here. The enclosed field has massive signs on both gates to access the park that clearly state that dogs must be "leashed and under control at all times" and yet people show up, unleash their dog at the gate, fling the door open to which the dog runs over to my dog, snapping, barking and attacking my poor 10 month old (on leash) puppy who is in training. I'm having my training and socialization derailed. I have confronted the owners of these dogs for their irresponsible behavior to be met with excuses, attitude, and denial of responsibility for their actions. I take my dog to different parks daily, and this is the only one I've had repeated issues at! If you're a dog owner who wants to bring your dog off leash to meet other dogs, go to a dog park!!! If you are a dog owner who wants a calm peaceful place to take your dog where you will not be attacked look elsewhere because this park is not the place for you.

It has a good seating area both outdoor overlooking the court and a relatively nice lounge indoor area. When it gets cold in winter time, there is an indoor hearer that could be plugged. Overall, I much prefer this than just be in a park . People sometimes will have get together at the outdoor area. Their conversation is not always kid friendly. Not sure if kids would overhear. Hoping that they were engaged in their games and don't care for those content.

There is also an enclosed dog park right next to the basketball court, although it's a bit smaller than other dog parks. On weekends, there are softball/baseball games in play in the field next to the park, but we were able to find parking relatively easily in the street. Bring a jacket if you come - even on a warm day, there are many areas of this park that are shaded due to the heavy trees in the area so it can get a bit chilly if you're in the shade.

I always drove by this park and thought it was not suitable for my kids since growing up around…read morethis area it was a little shady since a lot of folks back in the days would hit up 7-11 and come over here Well this weekend while visiting San Mateo instead of opting for the Fiesta Gardens park we decided to go here. I was pleasantly surprised. Parking in the residential area vs coming coming from the busy street there is limited reserved parking. When we arrived there was no body there but soon more families came. I felt safe and the foot traffic through the park was folks going on across the street to the shopping area or resident living near by coming in. The play structure was cool. There is an older kid section and more of a young kid area with swings and a mini house. There is a grass area for kids to play around and picnic tables. The park itself was clean and well kept. I truly was surprised by it. The kids called it the Ronald McDonald park since the park is red and yellow color. This is a nice park to come. For smaller baby infants may not be suitable but more for pre-k and above. The park gets a lot of sun and there are trees to keep cool in the shade with benches there to relax. It was a nice find to entertain the kids.

Other parents and kids were nice, but there were a few people just using the park as a walk through. There are two play structures. The smaller one is not great for little ones and the bigger one is scary big. The park is right along a busy street and has a good gate system blocking access. Unfortunately, on the other side near the houses, the fencing has two open paths. No restroom.
