This is almost an apples to apples comparison as the outcome of the second opinion was nearly the same as the original prognosis. We found a clear difference in quality of care. Without the details, I'm of the opinion that we dodged two medical bullets by switching to BlackRock. I only mention other business names because healthcare should be fairly close in terms of service and in this case it wasn't even close.

On top of that I asked to sign a release of info form to have my records sent to my PCP on my way out. The young female receptionist said they COULDN'T DO THAT. That my PCP has to request that. I explained that I worked in medical records quite a while and that a patient can request any of their own records be forwarded. She argued with me. Basic legal patient records rights should be taught and an RX for the wrong thing was just poor customer service/ care. I won't be back.

Went to the appt a week later and to my surprise I was seeing the NP again, not the doctor. She went over the results which were pretty dramatic, she said I needed a total shoulder reversal replacement . I would not see the doctor until I decided on the surgery. I thought this was really weird. I never saw an actual orthopedic physician to go over my X-ray and /or MRI. This spooked me. Total shoulder replacement is a pretty big deal. I got a 2nd opinion somewhere else and am so glad I did. No need for a replacement at all. Had my surgery elsewhere and am doing fantastic. Please be cautious if you decide to go here. Seems they are all about getting the biggest bang for their buck and not what's best for patients. I would never be ok not seeing the doctor before I make a surgical decision.
