Came on an early Friday afternoon so it was busy but not overwhelmingly so. Lots of age ranges (ours was the littlest but the big kids were very respectful) and so many fun water features that cater to a wide array of ages and comfort levels. Very clean and well cared for with plenty of shady picnic tables adjacent to the splash pad. Once we finished getting soaked (parents who need to be near their little one, note you will absolutely get drenched) we tried off in the playground which was also top notch. Lots of cool features and again, clean and cared for. When we needed a break from the sunny swings, there were more shaded picnic tables next to a huge grassy field. The charcoal grills are also huge. You could spend a whole day here, easy. I can't wait to come back for more fun memories!

Very bike-able going through on the nearby trail and all the sidewalks are wide for strollers, dogs, walking groups, and people biking or skating along. Really enjoy the design and open layout of this park. I've seen a few birthday parties hosted at the nearby tables adjacent to the playground. Still even on the weekends the park never seems to be over crowded. Even in the heat of summer the water features next to the playground are in use but not swarmed. Lots of nice businesses nearby you can walk to so a great location all around. Certainly one of the premier parks in the local area.

This was a nice mile or so long loop around a small lake. There were plenty of people, but not too many, and their dogs walking. We saw several different species of birds and even 2 coyotes doing a little morning hunting in the tall grass. They didn't bother us and we didn't bother them! We will come back here. Nice paved areas and smaller trails off of the main trail to follow. Free parking in a few spots. Update: I came here by myself yesterday for a run. Racking up mileage is easy here because there are so many sub-trails around the lake itself. Also very easy to get some easy hill action built in...just enough to get your heart rate up!

I didn't spend much time there this past summer like I should have, but it was a blast in the short time I got to experience the epic trees and expansive green fields. Plenty of parking. We've visited this park a few times and unfortunately this most recent experience was less than…read moreideal. We brought our kids who are young but capable at throwing discs. They are learning the rules of disc golf and getting quite good. We typically skip hole 5 due to the extreme blind throw over the creek and the kids just can't quite throw that hard yet. This particular day was quite busy and we were doing our best to ensure we weren't holding up the people behind us. We skipped hole 5 again and waited behind a couple of people at hole 6. A group came up after us and when it was our turn, they stepped up in front of us as if take their turn. I was confused but tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and said it's ok if you go ahead of us. The man immediately and argumentatively harassed us for having cut the line. My husband stepped in and tried to diffuse the situation, while trying to understand how he came to accuse us of cutting when that was precisely what he'd just done. Apparently he saw us skip hole 5 and didn't understand why and thought we just didn't want to wait. I completely under this point of view but unfortunately he wouldn't let us explain and essentially screamed at us until we decided to walk away. It was a truly unpleasant experience and I feel as though we could have discussed it more civilly but were never given the chance. I haven't ever encountered anyone that passionate about playing every hole, but with kids that's just not possible. I hope we are able to visit again and put this behind us but I suppose I just want others to be aware that there are players who feel strongly about certain aspects of this course. Overall it's a decent course with lots walking which is the part we previously enjoyed.

This park had both a roundabout and a teeter totter, something we've been looking for. It also had very nice rock formations, one elephant, one lion, for kids to climb on. Wood chip base, which was a little annoying. Also, no restrooms as per the norm for Arvada parks. None close by either. Not a lot of shade, except for the picnic structure. The picnic structure can be reserved for $60 plus a refundable $25 deposit, according to the sign. Definitely one of the better parks in Arvada.

There are other lots to park in if you drive around the lake. They have a nice path that goes all the way around the lake. We came here to fish. My son caught I nice size fish and released it back. Only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars is because the bathroom was far from where we were fishing at. So it was hard to leave kids alone to go to use restroom. We ended up packing everything up and going across street to Target to use restroom instead.

We love living near Anderson Park!…read more Right along Clear Creek Trail, this trail is super popular for bikers, runners, and dog walkers alike. Unless it's the heart of winter, you can expect to see a lot of action along the trail. My dogs love it! The park itself has a baseball field, soccer field, playground, pavilion, and community pool with a giant waterslide. Depending on the season, there's always something going on. The park is spacious with plenty of parking towards the back near the pavilion and soccer field. Our favorite annual event they host is the Wheat Ridge Carnation Festival. They truly go all out with local vendors, carnival rides, bands, car show, etc. I totally recommend checking it out at least once! I should probably upload more pictures, because I come here pretty frequently with the pups. Anderson Park is a staple for Wheat Ridge residents, especially the ones who live in the surrounding neighborhoods.

This is my neighborhood park and it has a special place in my heart. I think the Clear Creek Trail is what really makes this park stand out. I am not sure just how long the trail spans, but I have biked from Golden to Westminster so it is quite long and, for the most part, well-maintained and pretty. The trail right by Anderson Park in particular is very peaceful and full of vegetation. The park also holds events every now and then such as the Carnation Festival and concerts.
