Took the family here on a nice Saturday afternoon to check things out. First impression was that the reservoir "lake" was a bit on the dirty/scummy side, but as we started walking the paved path it got better. We saw a lot of turtles swimming or sun bathing and the kids loved that! The path itself was nice and everyone walking or biking seemed friendly and things were cleaner than my initial impression. I wouldn't swim in this lake, but there were people fishing and that seemed fun and it was a lovely 2 mile easy walk. It felt safe, too. Good for families and pretty views!! read more

Very nice large lake and recreation area in Rogers. There was a lot of parking and lots to do! They seem to host events here often and there were a lot of people set up in the grass under canopys and tents. They had a few walking bridges and a nice section by the parking lot with splash areas. The lake was much larger than I thought and had a large paved trail around it all. It was 1.8 miles total with some sections in the direct sun and some uphill so be prepared. There were a few benches and stops to rest on the trail but the only bathrooms were in the front. There were a lot of of people fishing and many concrete docks to walk out on which I thought was a great feature. I did see a lot of garbage in the water and ground and not enough trash cans for sure. Also a lot of goose poop but I guess that happens. We saw many birds, turtles, and fish which my kids liked a lot! I do recommend checking this nice lake out for fishing, nature exploring, or a nice walk. read more

This was a really nice part for the dogs. Paved path. Places for the dogs to jump in and get a drink. Plenty of shade. Very friendly bikers on the trail. Also, there is a really cool BMX park at one end. Really nice investment made by the community. If we lived here, I think we would go often. Rogers seems to have made a conscious decision to have nice outdoor places. Bravo! read more

I have came here several times for an easy walk. The path is paved all the way around the lake with stopping points to enjoy your surroundings. It is not a completely shaded path, but definitely worth it. Plus, at the entrance of the lake there is a playground and little streams that I have seen children splash around in--adorable! We did see some wild life and water snakes. read more

Lake Atlanta is so nice! I love it during the fall because all the trees turn a bright yellow and orange color. There are parks for kids and open areas to play. You can also fish!! Overall it is a great place for family. read more

Hands down a Great Lake to swim at. This place is so nice at the swimming areas. Love the lil beach it has and the bathrooms here are always nice and clean. If your into hiking this lake has great trails to walk around at. So if your looking for a nice place to cool off at you need to see what this lake can offer. Get here early or you won't find a good parking spot. read more

It's a lake. Water, shoreline, rocks... how do you review lakes? The skipping stones were Olympic quality and that dude's dog was having g fun and didn't smell bad. They need to work on the shoreline as I've had much better shoreline in San Diego and Italy. I found a sandwich on a rock and it didn't have Mayo. It was dry, which is especially bad since I am reviewing a small body of fresh water. Work on the Mayo, maybe a little garlic aioli next time. ​​ read more

I grew up the road from Lake Atlanta and I have seen it transform so much over the past 10 years. Although it is very different than the park I grew up with, it has become a beautiful place for people to enjoy nature. Despite how populated Rogers has become, I can still find decent parking most of the time. There are plenty of regular walking/biking trails to roam and there are some offroad options as well. The park is always clean and the playground is sturdy and spacious as well. My two year old really enjoyed the slides and I liked feeling comfortable enough to go down with her. The lake itself is beautiful, especially at sunset. It's a great spot to take pictures when it isn't too crowded. All in all, Lake Atlanta is still a wonderful place to explore. read more

What a tremendous asset to the Rogers community. We recently moved here and I have been walking 3-4 miles daily for over 10 years. I cannot walk trails because I have a form of vertigo, I can only walk on pavement. I have been pretty discouraged as all I could find near me were trails. Lake Atalanta gave me exactly what I needed in a beautiful and tranquil setting. The trails are kept clear and everyone is very respectful and kind on the trails. It does also have a lot of off the pavement trails for those that like that. Thank you Rogers! read more

I love this park. The playground equipment is brand new, bathrooms were clean, and plenty of space. I have gone to the park on the weekends when it is packed. The layout is in such a way that even though the park is full, there is plenty of space for everyone. I recommend taking the walk around the lake as it's only 2 miles and a gorgeous view. You feel like you are out in the middle of nowhere, even though it's just down the road from downtown Rogers. There is also plenty of places to fish and a kayak/canoe/boat landing. I drive from the farthest point in Bentonville just to take my dog for a walk around this lake. My only recommendation would be to add a doggy water fountain. read more

This spot has a little of something for everyone. It has a walk way, two playground areas, tables for sitting, large lawn area, a lake and a bike path! It was so quiet and peaceful when we came the other day. We just walked around with our daughter in her stroller car. The area was clean and even though there was a lot of cars parked in the lot, it didn't feel like there was that many people there. We can't wait to come back here again. read more

This is the best park and outdoor recreation area!! I was super impressed with it all around. We first parked and walked the trail that goes all around the lake. It first took us on the lake, yes the trail goes out on the lake! Then it took us on land and up hill... then down hill and then up again haha. Anyways, it is a very beautiful trail. Beautiful views and so relaxing and peaceful. It is a great place to come work out, run, bike, walk, etc. There are a few places you can sit and relax, and a few other trails that split off. The other awesome part of Lake Atalanta is the park. Seriously the best park ever! I would go there without my kids haha. The playground is very unique and has the best play equipment. There are also two tree houses... say what?! More of on wood beams, then way up in the tree, but still so cool. You can feel like your a part of the Swiss Family Robinson movie! read more

This park is amazing! The 2.8 mile walkway is two lanes and paved. Plenty of room for bicycles, joggers and walkers. Good areas for the fisherman and children. Small creeks for kids of all ages to walk in. The city of Rogers knows how to build a park! read more

This place is a beautiful escape tucked away in Nwa. It is clean and usually not extremely crowded.

Serene and beautiful location for picnics, bbqs, fishing and hiking. Plenty of green space, a couple picnic tables and a few different playgrounds make it a great place for kids and families. On really hot summer days folks even take dips in the fairly small lake or the shallow stream the runs through some of the green space. Good for canoes or row boats with trolling motors but too small for anything bigger than that. We love to come here to walk around the lake and to check out the many hiking trails. When the weather is nice it's a perfect place to get lost in nature. While it can get a bit crowed especially on weekends, most of the time it's fairly easy to find a private spot to call your own. The public bathrooms are open from 730-330 thus time of year, and they do shut off the water fountains in the winter. My only complaint is that the water closest to the shore can get fairly polluted in the very shallow parts which makes it sad for the ducks and geese. Hopefully more trash barrels can help with that. read more

Lake Atlanta was recently renovated and they did a wonderful job preserving it's natural beauty while adding many nice and modern features. There is a walking and bike trail around the entire lake. Everyone we passed by were so friendly. Lots of areas to stop, sit and enjoy the view. People were fishing off of small piers, kyaks and canoes. There are lush native trees and plants surrounding the entire area. It's hard to remember that you're only 5 minutes from downtown Rogers- it feels like you far out in a beautiful forest. On the parking lot side of the lake is a park with a cool playground and a splash area with little cascading waterfalls made of native rock that flows into the lakes run off area. Many benches, picnic tables and shaded pavilions. We are very lucky to have so many amazing natural parks and trails in Northwest Arkansas! read more

We went to Lake Atalanta today and it was packed! It's cute. There is a boardwalk around the entire lake, maybe a one mile walk. People hiking, pushing babies, walking dogs. Playing catch and frisbee and soccer, riding bikes. Warm, sunny Saturdays and Sundays seem to be very busy. read more

Great spot to hike and fish. Only negative comment would be there is a lot of trash lying in and around the lake.

Very neat place to take a short hike very close to downtown Rogers and feel as though you're quite a bit further outside of town. There is now an adjacent bike park and tons of trails under construction along with other projects that are still in progress. While our visit was enjoyable and relaxing on a beautiful Saturday, I look forward to coming back when there aren't so many closed-off construction areas in the way. In late April we spotted a lizard or skink, and some interesting birds as well. Along with all of the construction along the trails there are new and very lovely bridges and rails in many areas. It's hard to give more stars to this work in progress but hopefully in the future I can update my review, with better information and details. read more

AMAZING!! We have visited Rogers but only knew about the large Lake Beaver that is better for camping and boating. This park is newly redone, has a playground, fishing docks, plenty of green space, picnic tables/pavilions. They turned the creek running through into a natural splash pad, that kiddos and adults can dip feet into and walk in. The best part for us was the sidewalk going around the lake, plenty big and well lit. It's right next to the water and about 2 miles with some small hills. Plenty of shade and places to break! read more

Lake Atalata is a great place to spend a sunny afternoon. It's a very calm, natural setting only minutes from downtown Rogers. There are barbeque grills, a swing set, and a few nice trails. read more

Most beautiful park of pure nature and just the fresh air that relaxes you while walking through the trail.

The park is very nice and it has improved drastically. However, the only part I found a problem with is the clubhouse with the spiral staircase. It's built out of beautiful hand crafted wood and you didn't even bother to put of roof over it so in a few years it will be ruined.... read more

They have reopened Lake Atalanta in Rogers AR. Beautiful trails right over the lake. New playgrounds, treehouse, pavilions, rest rooms. Everything is new and improved. Take your time...fish off the new piers, walk or bike the wide trails. The kids have new playgrounds and a treehouse. The thought and money that went into this project was well worth it. read more
