And there was a grill outside that I used. We ate outside at the table and it was so peaceful and relaxing. I used the paddle board for the first time there and it was so much fun. We swam after that and had a great time. We went to the Mildred B. Cooper Memorial Chapel in Bella Vista. It is a unique outside Chapel. A must see. We drove to Branson, Missouri and ate at the Keeter Center which is part of the College of the Ozarks. The food is phenomenal and reasonable priced. We liked the lunch so much we went back later for dessert!! We also went to a show at Sight and Sound Theater. Lots to do!! I would highly recommend staying here. I have never felt so relaxed. It felt like a dream home.

You can actually roll if you don't maneuver in the Dwight section if it. The good news is the water is fairly calm so there's no scary current to drag and keep you under. For our anniversary we took a long weekend to camp at Prairie Creek Campground (a CoE park). We…read morerented a pontoon boat for Saturday from the marina. (First of all, pricing for boat rentals is CRAZY, $700 for the day!) We (5 of us) get there at 9:00 that morning, ready to go. We check in, get assigned boat #5, we load a day's worth of "stuff" (2 coolers, food, floaties, towels, etc.), get our instructions, back out of the slip, and motor toward open water. As soon as we pass the "no wake zone" buoy the boat starts beeping. We turn around for the marina. Get back, go inside, and ... wait my turn. Tell them the boat is beeping. "Okay, we'll be with you in just a minute." So ... we wait. The guy who gave us our instructions comes back, and takes the boat out. Brings the boat back in, "yep, it's beeping." Volt meter says 11.4 volts. "I'll go get a new battery." We wait. He comes back with a new battery ... and no tools to install the battery. We wait. New battery is installed ... new battery doesn't solve the problem. "You'll have to go inside and talk to them." Inside: "We're 'sorry', all our boats are rented for the day. How far away do you live?" 5 hours. "Well, we can give you a refund or give you credit for another day." Um, no, I'll take the refund. We won't be back. So, all that to say this: Does the marina check the boats between rentals? Who knows. What we do know: they don't hold ANY boats back "just in case" something like this happens. Additionally: you were just renting ONE of their 10 (12 ... 15 ...?) boats. If they ruined your day because their boat doesn't work, they're "sorry". Beware of boat #5!

Between the waterfall, little streams, bridges and wooded scenery, it's a beautiful place to explore without needing a strenuous hike. I also loved that there were shallow areas of the creek where kids could splash and play. Such a fun outdoor stop for families or anyone wanting an easier hike with great views. Our guides were so personable, accommodating,& not overbearing in that "Your a tourist so we have to do the small talk" thing. It was actually cool, like going out to the lake with friends. I originally picked Sup for the Cliff Diving feature, which to me is exactly what is needed during a vacation. My partner wasn't a fan of that idea so we found a more "relaxing" vibe, settling on the Sunset Paddle. Best thing for me is while we did our Sunset paddle our guide suggested doing a cliff jump& I was so excited! It was exactly what I wanted and I valued the suggestion since my partner wasn't interested in it. I was the only person at first who wanted to jump, the guide said he'd jump too. Little by little the whole group, INCLUDING my partner decided to join! It wasn't one of those "Peer Pressure" things. Just good ol' inviting nature coupled with words of encouragement. It was a huge highlight for me. So many options: Cliff Jumping, Sunset paddling, Eco Tours, lounging chairs to relax at the lake in. They pretty much have it all& the cherry on top: PRICE! No price gouging. If you have your own gear it's even cheaper. They sit at $20/Person for the tour when you have your own gear. Small wins in this economy. Yes we could've just went out with our own gear and got to mosey around, but it was so nice to be guided where the sun sets perfectly.
