When I arrived the service advisor wanted to check with the shop foreman to see if they would even consider working on it because of it's age (2008 model). He agreed and assured me they "specialized in Volvo". After a few days I received a text letting me know the estimate for diagnosing it would be $655.00. I called to speak to service advisor to understand why just diagnosing was so high. I asked what their hourly rate is and he told me they quote everything by the job and he would not budge on the price. Reluctantly, I let them proceed. After about a week, they texted with a repair estimate of $18K. I called to discuss again and the service advisor couldn't answer any of my questions so he sent me to the shop foreman again. He explained that a gear sheared a tooth in the upper unit and there is also metal shavings in the lower unit so they need to replace both. I asked about repairing vs replacing and he said they don't do that. We discussed multiple options of used units and sending out for a rebuild but he wasn't interested in any of those. Apparently, they only "specialize in Volvo" if its simple maintenance or easy parts replacement - actual mechanic work, not so much. The shop foreman was also a little rude and condescending. I was stuck with a $755 bill for diagnosis and shop supplies for a repair they weren't qualified/willing to complete. Never again... **Update** The Operations Manager saw this review and called me to discuss. He offered to refund my money BUT ONLY IF I removed this review. I guess customer satisfaction only matters to them when it's beneficial to them.

If you want to catch a decent string of good-sized bass or crappie, a boat is a must. Otherwise, you can just chill on a lake bank and wait for catfish to grab your chicken liver offering, or try your hand at catching bream. Non-county residents are required to pay a $5 parking fee. They DO CHECK, so don't try to cheat, and end up paying a large fine. I have met many nice fisherfolks here. The most charming are a pair of Vietnamese women, who are there at least once a week, swaddled in sun-proof clothing and wearing wide brimmed straw hats. They are plenty savvy at catching fish. They use hotdogs for catfish and meal worms for bream. Each of them can cast a bait 100 feet or better. I've never seen them leave without a full cooler of fish. Me, on the other hand...............

While tubing from this…read morelocation seems convenient, this area of the river is completely shallow, rocky, and not relaxing. I went with four friends. The employees were very young and lackadaisical. I am not blaming them for the state of the river, but they should have equipped us with oars and at least prepped us on the very rocky ride and how shallow the water would be on the river. They basically took our money, gave us the tubes, and sent us on our way. There are three tubing outfits that work from this location, so the river is overcrowded and we ended up hitting into many other parties during our ride. Our goal was to chill and float as we had before on our tubing trips, but we ended up getting stuck on rocks for most of the time. When I tried to move off a rock during one of the many occasions where we got stuck, I ended up hitting my knee against a sharp rock and bled. Again, oars would have been helpful. When we arrived at the platform, the young guy who worked for the outfit just stood there and didn't assist the Urban Currents customers trying to get up on the platform, etc. and he didn't direct us towards to shuttle ride. I don't recommend this outfit or any other outfits in this area. It isn't relaxing and it is way too crowded.
