When Rashanda, her Maid of honor & I on a few occasions had to discuss her contract from the prior ownership, without hesitation; the new ownership honored everything, relieving all stress triggers. The Food (Vegetables, Fish , chicken , beef & salmon (), buffet style was the best i've tasted at a banquet hall. The Weeding, with insane hiccups (‍), was a wedding to remember. If I can give them 0 stars, I would. The venue is beautiful, but the staff inside it are not. They were extremely rude and things were not ready when we got to the venue. We lost 3 hours of prep time due to the halls and bridal sites not being clean. They are blamed us for the delayed start even though though they were the reason things did start on time. They almost made us pay extra to extend the celebration while threatening to shut the lights and power off. Money was not the issue. What a terrible experience! This place should be ashamed of itself. The service was horrific and so was the food. When we arrived for a wedding, five minutes before start time, and there was no one at the bar, which was just outside the reception room. People were piled up at the entrance of the reception room. When the bartender finally arrived, it was very clear that he hated his job and hated being there. He was very rude. The person in front of me ordered a rum and coke, and he told her that the soda he has at the bar is flat and she should order something else. Are you kidding me? The place is serving flat soda? This was not a good start. Then the bar ran out of glasses and started serving drinks in plastic cups. This was the start of really terrible service. The place is actually pretty nice, so it's a shame that the food and service was so terrible. The food was so awful. The appetizers during the cocktail hour were barely edible. The pasta salad second course was so bland. My prime rib was cooked well done. I never seen that before. It was absolutely disgusting. I literally left the wedding and went to Chic-Fil-A. Our band was hired to play a surprise party here. To start, the room was dreadfully hot. When we tried to get someone to put on the air conditioning, it was impossible to find someone who spoke English. All thermostats were locked so we couldn't increase it ourselves. Since there was an older crowd at the party, I was worried there would be some medical emergencies. Now lets talk about the food. The chicken was tough and nothing seemed fresh. At the end, the person who booked the party was trying to get the leftover food and they wouldn't give her any trays or containers. When confronted where all the leftovers were, they tried to lie and say it they were gone and that they threw away the salad. After some pressing, they finally brought out some of the leftover Chicken Parmesan which was obviously refrigerated and going to be reused. In closing, I can't believe how bad the service was in this place. Out of all my years of playing in bands, wedding and parties, this was the worst experience I've ever had. I went to a wedding here - a friend of a friend on Saturday. I first want to say this place was very easy to get to...directly off of Route 9 and plenty of parking. When we walked in there were other events and weddings going on so we were a bit confused as to where the wedding we were attending was. There were a few employees around involved in assisting the other wedding so they didn't seem too eager to help us. We were finally relieved to get an employee's assistance but she pointed us towards the outside saying that's where we were supposed to go. We had no idea how to get there and once again were very confused. She ended up escorting us to the other door and gave us directions to go to the back. Alas we found seats out back and it only took a total of 20 minutes from when we walked in *sarcasm insert* The wedding was scheduled for 3:00 pm; that's what time we got there but it didn't start until 6:00 pm. I blame every bit of the wedding party for this tacky decision and not the venue. I do wonder if the venue suggested to them that this decision was not a wise and courteous one to their guests but oh well *shrugs shoulders* Sitting on the lake was beyond gorgeous. The decor, the staff and everything else was just about perfect looking. The wedding had way too many people. I can only imagine how long ago this wedding was booked having a July date. How did the venue allow so many people at a time like this? There were around 250 people there not including the staff. I saw 4 people (including myself) who were wearing masks. Not everyone was vaxxed. I know this to be true so why did this establishment allow for this to happen? The cocktail party after the wedding was nice once we found out where cocktail hour was. We were originally told by a worker that it was inside and the entrance was around the front. We obliged and went around the front only to be told by another worker that it was around the back where we had just come from *smacks forehead* Once we found cocktail hour which was around the back, we did enjoy it. The hor doevres were served on silver platters by wait staff who went around to each guest. The hor doevres were good. No vegan options though. Once again I'm sure that was a decision made by the wedding party. One bartender at a tiny bar in the corner serving 250 guests however was despicable. The line for the drinks extended far beyond what it should have. Ridiculous! The reception room was beautiful. It was decorated white and gold with very tasteful decor. I'm not 100% certain if the decor was the wedding party decision or the venue. I know the colors were chosen by the wedding party so perhaps the decor was also. Getting dinner was equally ridiculous. Tables were called...from 1-26 not in order...that was fine. Again, I realize this was the wedding party decision. The problem was the line to get to the buffet style dinner. It extended far beyond where it should have. There must've been at least 75 people online at a time and again -no masks and no social distancing. We are not in the clear of this pandemic so I'm disappointed at the lack of measures taken by this establishment to ensure guests' health. I hope and pray I don't get anymore invites to any weddings here anytime soon...not during this pandemic. If I do, I'll pass. read more

WORST manager and overall experience. The manager Mencia is absolutely terrible at her job. She promised us many things during our initial meeting such as valet parking, stage seating, coffee and tea, etc and entered it into the system while we were there but of course everything was "missing" the day of our event. God forbid you try to ask her a question and she will come at you with the nastiest attitude as if you're getting the space for free. When I asked her about all the missing items she started to walk out of the office mid conversation and sarcastically told me to have a great night then proceeded to call me a "puta" which is bitch in Spanish. During the event we had to ask for someone to do the cake cutting, there was no milk for tea and coffee, the chandelier lights were flickering, no one was clearing tables and taking away dirty plates, impossible to get stage covering sheets, they kept taking away our chairs because the other event was overbooked and short on chairs and so much more... Even our caterers who have been in the industry for over 30 years were shocked to experience such level of unprofessionalism. Never seen anything like it. They don't help you with ANYTHING. Truly a horrid experience that I would not wish upon anyone. Spend a little extra $$ and save yourself the headache of hosting your event at this awful place. read more

I'm a brown guy and I know a thing or two about wedding functions. To put it plain and simple, this was one of the worst experiences I've seen with venue management. The management double booked for my sister's wedding and barely had enough staff helping. No one was clearing tables, refilling drinks at tables, and worst of all was the lack of manager presence. I walked into the kitchen to ask for an employee to refill drinks and all of the employees were sitting around doing nothing! Might as well have paid me to run the show. You would need to hire a team of coordinators to run the party instead! We were there for a repast over the weekend. The food wasn't out on time, floor was visibly dirty (should have been swept and mopped) and there were ants on the tables. I've worked in hospitality for over 20 years. I actually brought my family to this facility for a repast so I feel part responsible for the unbelievable amount of lack of service that we received. First and foremost the Manager who booked our event was utterly the worst manager I've ever encountered. When I told him about the ants that appeared on our tables and gave him a glass that was extremely dirty he said I was being picky and never apologized. The repast was to begin at 1pm. We arrived at 12:30 and nothing was ready. We asked them to "look" as if they were going to begin. A person in a blue shirt told us the Indian custom is to start serving food later in the event at which I replied we are not Indian. The food didn't come out until 1:30. Our guest continued to bring us silverware, glasses and plates that were dirty. The worse thing were the ants. I had never ever seen this in at a banquet hall. It was disgusting! I gave this banquet hall 1 star. We secured this space for a repass after a funeral. The meal was scheduled to be avialble at 1 pm. When we arrived a few minutes before 1pm nothing was set up. Moreover the wait staff and (I believe ) the manager acted as if they were surprised to see us. When we asked about the food and set-up for our party we we told that "Indian parties do not start on time therefore we did not plan to have the food ready on time". Ok so, the service was late we weren't Indian and the hall was unprepared for our scheduled event. However this was a repass for a funeral. We did our best to manage this the delay with the food service. There were many hungry young children, whom (as we left the grave-site), we'd promised that there would be food once we got to the hall. So the time went by and the servers started moving around. They dropped several serving utensils on the floor and attempted to replace them in the food without cleaning them. No, they simply picked the serving utensil off the floor to put back into the food on the serving table! A member of the party stopped this person. The used plates on most of the tables piled up. I literally gathered 5 plates 3 saucers and eating utentils, off the table and took them to the wait staff in the back. Food was dropped on the floor and the wait staff kicked the food under the table, right in front of me. We requested a refill on the water. Twice after about 15 minutes of waiting I took the water pitchers to the staff for a refill. The service was atrocious and several pieces of the flatware was dirty. When this was brought to the attention of the staff, 2 members of the staff shrugged their shoulders as if they were providing this meal at no cost. Please know that Lake Chateau did not provide this meal at no cost we paid full price and expected if not excellent service, at least standard service. Most of us left disappointed, due to the poor service and everything that has been mentioned as well as dirty ants on the napkins and in the cups, and glasses. BTW we are Black people, we were Black people when we talked with Lake Chateau and secured the hall. More important we were Black people when we were treated so poorly. It has been difficult to think of anything positive to add to this review. This had to be the WORST management team I have ever experienced!! We arrived at the venue at 12:30PM to just look over and set-up some last minute decorations for a repast. But to our surprise, the room was NOT cleaned! The mirrors and floors were filthy. And the start time of the event was 1PM. We asked the 1 person that was cleaning can we assist her!!! When our guests finally entered the room, we were told that the tables by the windows had several ANTS on them. We also found ants in the glasses and I have pictures to prove! After telling the management they didn't even act surprised. The food wasn't served until 1:30PM after we told the unhelpful manager on duty that we were waiting entirely too long to eat. He in turn says that in Indian custom, they don't eat right away! I couldn't believe that was his answer for the lateness of food to his paying customers! The workers DID NOT have gloves on when handling the food. Then after complaining again to the manager he said that we were just being picky! They should be ashamed of the way they treat people! Gave my wife a 55th birthday party, free was no person to help with anything, the lights went out twice, no one apologized, the food was great but some of my guest wanted to take some food home I went to ask about containers on person said they'd help us but no one did I went to a local dollar store and bought containers we tried to pack some food then the manager and his workers rush out and tell us they can not allow us to take any food because they risk someone getting food poisoned ..if thats the case why are they serving food. they were rude and before every one really go to eat they were taking the food away...called back a week later spole with the GM Raj to get the owners name and they wood not give me any info...I highly advise everyone not to do business there...I am now pursuing legal advice... read more

The place is under excellent new management! I attended an event here, and all Covid restrictions were up to date. Everyone was amiable and clean. There were hand sanitizers near every room and bathroom. It was great to see everyone following the guidelines and being safes. Highly recommend this place ! Would not even give this place 1 star if I could. This had to be the most unprofessional, and unorganized "venue" that I have ever came across. The carpets were dirty, the mirrors in the bridal suite were dirty, and the bathrooms were not cleaned before we arrived. The ceilings were leaking during my grandmothers reception, and 2 garbage bins had to be placed in the middle of the room. It was really hot in the venue also even though the air was as low as we could put it. We paid for an open bar, but there was no bar? The bar was a table with a white table cloth and a few bottles of hard alcohol/wine. I went up to the bar hours before the wedding was over and asked for Jameson and was told by the bartender that they ran out of Jameson, so I had to order something else. Jeff, the manager was also really rude, and seemed to not care that we just gave him thousands to rent the venue out. He refused to accommodate the bride and her guests, and he had an excuse for everything that was going wrong. If you want to have a smooth event that's worth your money PLEASE AVOID! read more

During this Covid time, I had to scramble to find an outdoor venue for my sister's wedding after the Governor announced he is delaying the opening of indoor dining. I had 1 week to find an outdoor venue. Raj was so gracious and so accommodating with all our last minute requests and the wedding took place as planned at his beautiful Lake Chateau Banquets. The outdoor layout, the beautiful gazebos and lake, the decor, the whole ambiance was absolutely gorgeous. Because of Raj, my sister was able to have a magical wedding. My cousin just had her wedding there and the place is beautiful inside but the service was HORRIBLE! The waitress/ waiters look as if they just rolled out of bed ear phone in the ears. No plates was set on the table not even the small ones for appetizers so basically you're eating with a piece of tissue and no one coming around to pick up the garbage from the table. Omg let's not talk about water to drink that was a struggle to get and when you go to the bar and ask them for water the bartender lady was so nasty about we don't have water here it's in your table ugh! This is the worst place to have your function. You can never get through to anyone because they don't answer the phone a d take days to return your call. I had my wedding there two days ago and the place was trashed from the function the night before. It took them hours to clean up and remove tables from the space I paid for. My wedding planner and her crew had to clean up or else they would not have gotten things done in a timely manner. There was no maitrede for my wedding and the staff was not professional at all, and did not know their left from their right. When it was time to cut the cake, they cut the cake in such big pieces, they made such a mess with my beautiful cake and to add to that two tables were not even offered cake. I didn't have open bar, but I had beer, wine and sangria. The wine was watered down and when it was time for the bride and groom toast, our glasses were empty, no champagne, we had to wait. Beautiful place and location but their Customer Service sucks!!! My girlfriend's husband gave her a surprise 55th Birthday party at this venue. The party was scheduled months in advance, booked in April and the party was in July. The staff waited until the week of the actual event to call and state they did not have enough napkins in the color that was selected for the party. Power was lost 2-3 times during the party. Not one staff member bothered to apologize to my girlfriend's husband for the inconvenience. Personally, I feel my girlfriend's husband should have been compensated for the inconvenience and mistakes made by Lake Chateau. For the amount of money they charge to hold functions at this establishment, Management need to work on their customer service and could do such much better! This place was the worst we went for my cousins baby shower and the staff was not wearing mask or gloves. We where supposed to have full service dinner and they did nothing. The Chafin dishes where facing the wrong way on the buffet. They never put out coffee or tea with dessert, they lost the cake my aunt and uncle paid 175 dollars for. The bartender was never at the bar. The room was not set up and another party let their kids play with our decorations and ruined half of our things. We never got our appetizers . My husband and I celebrated our 25th Wedding Anniversary on October 26, 2019. This place is beautiful. The food was awesome. My guest were happy and so were we. The staff were all great and helped us create a successful wedding anniversary celebration. I have to give a shout out to the chef and to Manny, also the three servers. We asked the waiter/waitress if we can help so it can be done faster before the other guest arrives , they ignore you while walking with AirPods in their ears, so unprofessional!!! And their moving so slow ,taking their sweet time . I attended a banquet last night at tHis location that we gave a chance to since it's a new revamp and in our area, and we're highly disappointed and offended. The service was horrible. Their staff was clearly under trained and unprofessional. The servers were touch their hair and touch our food as well as no where to be found when needed. Tables were piled up with dishes, our drinks were served in plastic pitchers(when we were told we were getting a bar). We chose a cheese and cracker platter and were presented with saltine crackers in the wrappers inside a stainless steal bowl.... The food was no where near what we selected at the taste testing. No seasoning, under cooked, most guest refused to eat. This place/package costs just as much as any other banquet hall would cost and were given unsatisfactory service. I believe those that hosted the event should receive full refund of the deposit. We felt super embarrassed and offended that this facility would service any event this way. We will NEVER be using them again. I advise anyone not to utilize this banquet hall. read more

ONE OF THE WORST EXPERIENCES IN MY LIFE!!! My uncles wedding was here and I cannot express how upset my family and I are that we chose such a disgraceful hall. I am completely shocked. When we first came to visit the hall we were VERY happy. It was beautiful, Jeff was very nice, and he continued to "promise" us many things. But during the wedding EVERYTHING changed. We had given Jeff VERY important and detailed instructions on how everything was supposed to go, but guess who decided not to show up the day he promised he would be there! Instead, someone named Raj stepped in to take his place and to be honest, I have NEVER spoken to anyone as rude and clueless as this man. Not only did he not listen to his clients/customers, he also had the audacity to question what we were doing EVEN THOUGH WE HAD GIVEN VERY DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS. Also, it took us a good 40 minutes just to find him! And when we did find him, he was just chilling with the staff instead of making sure the party was running smoothly. Apart from the "management" branch... the staff members were HORRENDOUS! They were rude, racist, and had VERY smart mouths. We asked for a clean sheet so that people can pray in the other room and one of the staff members had the audacity to say "this isn't a mosque, don't pray here" Apart from this, the bathrooms were DISGUSTING! They did not have anyone keeping it clean as the night went along. For a party with over 250 people one would assume that the bathroom would obviously get dirty. But for some odd reason the staff decided to get into an argument with me about how "the guests should be cleaning up after themselves"..... A staff member actually had the audacity to insult my guests, my family, and my friends when in reality they should have realized that we payed lots of Money for the night so that we can have a nice clean and comfortable party. Apart from the bathroom, the horrible service, and horrible management that we received.... when we got to the hall to get ready EVERYTHING UPSTAIRS WAS BROKEN! The door was on the floor, The room was a mess, the carpet looked disgusting, and the AC "broke". We were promised a clean/organized hall and all we received was TRASH! Also, when it came to food I don't even want to get started. ALL MY GUESTS DID NOT RECEIVE FOOD AND THE HALL HAD ALREADY RAN OUT PLATES! I had to walk back to the kitchen and demand they set out new clean plates ASAP! What type of Hall runs out of plates??? Apart from all the complaints I have just listed, something that bothered me most was.. the staff began picking things up/cleaning up WHILE there were many guests still sitting at the table. We had the hall till 11:30 and they began picking everything off the tables (ie: center pieces, table runners, etc) at 10:00 pm. Not only is this embarrassing on our part as hosts but we payed for this service and it was very wrong for them to clean everything up so early. Also, if you STILL decide to have any future events here (please don't, trust me) remember to CONTINUOUSLY remind the staff to put water and soda on the table, cause as logical as it sounds, some of the workers there really don't have common sense. read more

When I first saw this hall I was amazed at how beautiful it was. Raj gave me and my husband a tour and we immediately felt this place would be perfect to hold our wedding. He then introduced us to a "manager" named Jeff (who was the absolute worst person EVER) but luckily right before my event he got fired and a new manager Kunal took over who was an upgrade from Jeff. There was one mirror in the hall that was cracked and when I mentioned it he did say there was nothing he could do about it which did bother me a lot. Let's just say it looks very ghetto. Another new person who was added the week before my wedding was Tiffany. She went above and beyond to make sure the hall was clean and to make sure all the things I wanted were done before the decorating team came. When additional things needed to be done at the decorating teams request she made sure she found people to get it done. If you are planning an event here, definitely make sure you work with Tiffany! I was the only event at the hall the day of my wedding which is why I think I got very lucky and it felt like we were at a manor. The service while the wedding was happening was average. I also catered from an outside caterer because I did not like the food (definitely set up a food trial!) they do not offer a food trial but luckily I thought of having one and I am grateful I did! The trial made me realize there was stale bread on the mini burger (which they said was because it was in a heater for an hour- which we all know doesn't make bread stale) and mini hot dogs that you could get from Costco. I was happy I went with Shahi palace for the food because the food was amazing. As the bride I always wanted clean white floors and a landscaped view and the atrium room offered all of that and therefore I am giving 4 stars. I met with Menica to book my wedding a year in advance. Everything seemed cool. I was happy with the choice we made. But 2 months before the wedding Mencia stopped answering our emails. The day before the wedding she called me and said, "it's going to rain tomorrow. I have the Atrium available for your ceremony." How could she have the Atrium available when that's the room that was booked for my reception? The day of the wedding came and there were no centerpieces on my reception tables. She had promised us that we could use the calla lily centerpieces when booking the wedding. Turns out she gave them to a repass that was happening next door. I also reserved black napkins a year in advance. Those were also given the the repass next door. We paid for 125 guests to be seated at 13 tables. Only 12 tables were put out. My guests had no seats. I wonder if I'll get and refund for that? We asked Prior to the wedding if the goose poop was going to be cleaned off the patio. We were assured it would be down since it's mandatory they do that everyday. There was poop everywhere. My guests, including myself in my wedding gown, were walking though goose poop. On a good note, the staff was very nice and helpful. Mencia made my wedding day more stressful then planning it. Stop overbooking!!! read more

The banquet hall is beautiful inside, The manager Jeff Goldstein was very respectful and patient. Yes the place is under reconstruction, which only means if it's beautiful now it will be spectacular when it's done, The food was so good I was sad to see any leftovers go, it was very fresh and tasteful. Remember if ever reading any bad reviews that everyone's experience is different and just because it's a business it still requires respect and respect as given. The motto "the customer is always right" is only true until you are the owner. My daughter and her friends enjoyed her sweet 16. Jeff calmed my anxiety as anyone who is planning an event has, The most important thing he reminded me is to go in with a positive attitude. Thank you Lake Château. read more

There is no way to make this long story short so I'm just going to dive right in and say that this is the worst place I have ever been to and would never recommend for anyone to rent this place. I went to a wedding there this past Saturday and the venue was HORRIBLE! This place was filthy, not to mention that while my mothers wedding is going on they have a garbage can and a bucket sitting on top of towels because the ceiling was leaking. When I told the general manager about this he had the nerve to say that he didn't know where the water was coming from when it was clearly visible that it has been leaking for some time because there were water stains in multiple places. The staff is unprofessional they do not know how to serve or take orders. They screwed everything up. Some people didn't get their food. If u weren't at the table, you didn't eat. They looked as if they rolled out of bed, didn't shower and just threw on clothes. Bathrooms were unsanitary. No soap, no paper towels and dirty toilet bowels. The outside where the ceremony took place had a dirty rotted gazebo and the walkways were full of geese poop. This place needs new management cause the general manager is rude and does not care about this place or his customers. I wish I didn't have to put any stars on this place. read more
