My teenage son was kicked out of the store while he and a friend were shopping for golf equipment…read more I was a few isles away and soon got a text saying the manager told them they were up to no good and needed too leave. They were trying on golf gloves. They weren't swinging clubs, bring loud or rude but he kicked them out of the store. Went back later to buy football cleats that had a sign saying they were $20 off the original price. When I got to the checkout the manager refused to let me pay that lower price as it was an old sign. When I asked why I wasn't able to pay the lower price he shrugged his shoulders and said "that's not my problem". We now do all of our sporting good shopping in another town. Dunham's of Watertown will never get my business again.

I bought paint ball CO 2 tanks there about 2 years ago. I have stop a few times to have tanks…read morefilled. It is always a big time consuming hassle. This last Sunday I stopped to get tanks filled again. There was no one in the gun area . I waited 10 minutes then went to the front I asked who I think was the manage if he would send some one back to help me. He paged some one. I waited 10 more minutes no one shows up. I go back to manage he said it would take a bit they were had a lot going on right now. I waited 10 more minutes . no one shows up. Customers were coming and going from fire arms part of store. If they had some one there they could have made some sales . I went back to manager he said she just went back there she is there now. I went back the lady was training a new employ. She was showing people fire arms . I asked the guy in training if he could help me. the trainer asked him if he know how. She called some one on phone to walk him thru it. Then she disappeared. The guy could not figure out how to use equipment even thu person on phone was explaining it to him. I had been in store an hour at this time and had to go. The new guy did his best but I left with out what I came for.

I explained that I had a foot condition and needed shoes that would be supportive. plus my job. You could tell by the body language that the associate we found did not know a damn thing. I asked for a supervisor. The supervisor assured me that the shoes were the best. That should have been my sign to not buy shoes there. My feet hurt like hell after working 16-18 hours and the multiple phone calls made in complaint has gone nowhere.

We were left to our own devices and rummaging through the shoes, which was a mess and totally unorganized. My daughter finally just settled for a color in her size since that was all that we could find. When we went up to pay, we were told that the computers were down and would be down for another 15 minutes. We left and got her pair somewhere else.

But whowee anytime my husband and I come in here we are just baffled at the Terrible customer service and the lack of employee knowledge. If u go in the small door where there is one little register, you are usually safe. Sometimes people know what they are doing there. But the main entrance for some reason its just such a pain to try buy anything, you have to remember the price of the products you are buying cause they have no idea. Sometimes you get blank stares when you ask questions, or they ask you questions.. like what I don't work here how would I know? Also the thing with the chicks.. we were told there would be a steady supply but both times we went in there they didnt have any. Also when we ordered some they said they should be here by the next week. Now they are 3 weeks out! Hhm, I think they just grab anyone who walks in the door and say oh you wanna work here, here is a shirt. Enjoy! Such a shame, cause I love the store and i'll probably continue to come anyway. But arrg! Always end up leaving so disgusted.
