Many providers outsource diagnoses, where the person administering the test isn't always experienced or certified, making the process impersonal and unreliable with limited guidance. A friend suggested Lakeside to me. From the start, their website provided clear, easy-to-follow instructions. I filled out the new patient forms and received an appointment availability email--all within 24 hrs! Once I confirmed, I quickly received detailed guidance on how to join the virtual waiting room and the telemedicine call, making the entire process seamless. The appointment itself exceeded my expectations. Michael listened carefully, asked insightful questions, and used his education and expertise to help facilitate my diagnosis. We also made a game plan and scheduled a follow-up appointment to assess how I feel in a couple of weeks. Throughout the session, Michael was patient and empathetic, making my symptoms feel understood and relatable. Even when my internet cut out a few times, he remained available and re-added me to the call. Kristen was extremely prompt and professional in her emails, both before and right after my appointment, she sent over the references I needed in less than 20 mins! Overall, I highly recommend Lakeside! They eliminated the usual red tape and made my entire experience stress-free. Plus, it's worth mentioning--they are a married couple, which I think adds an extra layer of ease and dedication to their practice.

I am a successful professional who regularly meets her obligations. I told with my diagnostic clinician that it was important to me to see a psych who would actively help ascertain/manage the best medications for me and not someone who would just write a script and send me on my way. My clinician recommended Mr. Graves. I had to complete all of my new patient paperwork prior to even being able to ask for an appointment. Untraditional, but I don't mind for a good provider. However, TWELVE minutes before my appointment I received the following text message: "Good morning MyName, The credit card on file is not going through. It states INVALID INFORMATION. This is usually due to a switched number, incorrect expiration, incorrect 3-digit CVV, or incorrect billing zip code. A CREDIT CARD AUTHORIZATION FORM has been sent via email. I will need this form back ASAP. You may pay directly by clicking on the link on the invoice that was sent to you. (link was inserted here- Apply pay, which I use daily, DID NOT WORK on their link) Please note: Your appointment will be cancelled if payment is not received prior to login in for your 9:00 a.m. appointment and will incur a $75 reschedule charge. NOTE: Effective September 1, 2024 the No Show/Late Cancellation (less than 24 hours) will be increasing to $100. Thank you, LAKESIDE MENTAL HEALTH" I IMMEDIATELY began attempting to remedy the situation. Providers biller made NO EFFORT to assist, call or otherwise straighten the matter out. I sent screen shots of the apple pay not working, and explained it works for me every day. I bought Chick Fil A right now to test it (and who doesn't love some Chicken minis), and it worked fine. The biller simply stated "I have had 3 people use it today. I am not sure. The appointment will need to be cancelled as payment must be received prior to the appointment time." Like, good God people, give me more than 10 minutes notice and I'll figure out whatever error you made. Because my apple pay worked yesterday at lunch, and now this morning after this debacle. If I could attach a screen shot of the ApplePay screen, you could see where something looks different than any other time I use ApplePay, there is a blank space on it to fill in a name, but my name and credit card info (hidden except last 4 of card) are all there and correct. I cannot fathom someone with anxiety or depression or another mental illness dealing with this disorganized, last-minute debacle. I am absolutely appalled at how this was handled, with zero effort on the provider's part. I have more than enough money in my bank account and an excellent credit score. Assurances, the problem is not me, and *if* it is, I have the ability to fix it with any human who made the tiniest effort to figure out what was going on. And for the record, if I had more than 10 minutes to figure this out, I would have been more than happy to complete the credit card form. Provider cancelled my appointment for the "payment issues". I made it clear that I would dispute any "reschedule charges" they attempt to charge me for.

I was a social drinker and with age and success it became more and more. I realized one day that i did just about everything around alcohol. I started to think how I was effecting the amount of time I would be with my family and what message I was sending to my children on how to cope with life. I was not present, I checked myself in here for the IOP intensive out patient classes that meets 6-9 pm 3 times a week. The meetings helped me not only break my daily cycle but educated me on how to deal with day to day life in a healthy way. The classes in a positive way helped me identify what resentments I had in life and why i was apt to put my head in the sand instead of dealing with things. Jim the owner and lead addiction counselor is a guy who is in this business out of love for his fellow suffering people and to give the gift of sobriety as he was once given. He has been in recover for 35 years. He knows what he is talking about because he has lived the life. I have witnessed and been privileged to be apart of watching people go from homeless to executives and all other ranges in between. If you are tired of chasing your addiction I recommend you do what i did and surrender and educate yourself so you can hurry up and get happy. Start living a life of peace as I do. I believe in this enough that if you wanted help or more info in my journey you can private message me. I am not some paid bullshit, I am the real former drunk. 1/20/19 is my sober date. My previous sober record was Monday to Wednesday of each week. Yes I am about to celebrate one year of sobriety thanks to Jim and my fellow addicts/alcoholics that I now call friends. JD
