Everyone was friendly and Dr. Mike McIntyre was thorough but we were not happy with how quickly he administered shots and pills w/o consulting us or discussing any other option. We were in a position where we needed to continue driving and were pretty much willing to do anything to make our dog feel better. The 15 minute visit (for diarrhea!) included multiple tests, shots, pills and fecal/anal exams. The total cost was over $260. While we are thankful that our dog is feeling better, we wish that there was more discussion when prescribing medications/treatment options.

I have been to this clinic twice, and both times the desk staff didn't look up or check me in for my appointment until I stood there for a few minutes and then stated my business to get the ball rolling. Same thing happened after my appointments when I was trying to pay. Both times I was the only one in the lobby. I got the impression that they were not particularly engaged or invested in their work and they were just going through the motions. I have nothing against just getting through the work day, but I don't necessarily trust that attitude to be best for my pet. My cat really is my family and I want sharp staff that are present in the moment. My biggest issue came about two months ago when I thought my kitten was dying because he was foaming at the mouth and making choking sounds. The emergency vet was closed so I called here because they were my primary vet and I didn't know what to do and needed help. They told me they couldn't fit him in that day (which I get) and that I should just wait until my scheduled appointment two days later. I told the person on the phone that I thought he was dying and that it was an emergency and asked if they had any suggestions for what to do. I was told again to wait for the appointment but that if I was that worried I could call around to other vets in the area. I asked if there were any that might be able to take him and she said that I could call and find out, and then promptly said goodbye. This experience was terrifying and I felt like the person I spoke with had no concern for the situation and was not willing to spend time with me on the phone. At the time it was very distressing to me. After calling two clinics in tears (and really apologetic and concerned people on the phone), Advanced Care Pet Hospital said their vets were willing to see my cat between regularly scheduled patients. The vet was wonderful and easily diagnosed my cat with his condition and helped me understand how to manage his health.

When we pulled up, we were a little skeptical of the curbside pick up, due to Covid-19, but we called & the vet tech came out to pick up Lemmy, our Boston terrier. He had some swelling on his neck that was not going down. She was very friendly & understanding of our concerns. When they were done, she came back out with Lemmy & the vet (don't remember their names). The vet was wonderful & explained everything to us! The vet tech stayed & chatted with us for a few minutes.
