Food was good, reasonable prices. Prefer to NOT eat with plastic fork unless its a food truck. Band was good. Hill side view is great. Only issue: $29-$35 wine. Really, there are a dozen wineries close by with $17-19 wines. Might NOT go back. Too many others and YES I have been to all of them in STL and IL with 200 mile circle. Sorry, its wine....not 20 year aged Bourbon. Not $35 worth. read more

What a beautiful setting with great wines and great staff to ensure you have a great time while there!

I've been here twice for their once a month 4 course special, have been so impressed both times! $50 for a 4 course meal and wine pairing with each.. cannot beat that! The inside of the winery is so cozy, almost feels like you're apart of the family. No matter which 4 course meal special you decide to try, I'm sure you'll leave happy and FULL! The portions are more than enough! I can't wait to visit this winery in the summer time, the patio looks beautiful. read more

Nice winery with a relaxed atmosphere. Been here several times over the years, but left feeling a bit disappointed this last time. Prices on menu were increased on the check. $10 burger was $10.40, a $8 wine flight was $8.35 on bill. Also an undisclosed entertainment fee of $2.09 was added. Waitress stated wine flights were 2 ounces each, but really were more like 1.25 Ounces. Saved a cup and measured, it held 1.5 Ounces to the brim. Trivial issues perhaps but just left thinking there are better wineries in the area. read more

I cannot say enough about how great this winery is!!! It has quickly become one of our favorite wineries. I love how the winery is a historic house that sits on top of a big hill. It has a beautiful porch that is heated in the winter and a beautiful patio that overlooks the valley and the Katy bike trail below. The staff here is always super friendly. They bring in live music as well that is always high quality. The wine here is spectacular, and I love the wine flights they offer. Four 1 oz wine samples for only $4 so you can try the variety they have to offer. My favorite wines here are: farm house red, farm house white (very close to tasting like an Italian moscato), river bluff red, and the Cynthiana. Over the summer, I had their drink special which was a kiwi strawberry sangria and that was also excellent. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to drink wine on our visit yesterday, but my husband tried their newest wine Crimson Cabernet, and he said it was absolutely delicious. It is so smooth (aged in French oak barrels for 18 months) and has a really unique flavor. We bought 2 bottles - one of them was 20% off since we were taking the bottle home. How nice - it was a surprise to us that they offered this discount. The food here is also spectacular! My favorite is the LCW burger - it is the best burger that I've ever had! I think it is so awesome and unique that the patty is a blend of half beef and half mushroom. The burger is so flavorful and moist, and they pile it up with all the fixins...ooey gooey cheddar cheese, pickles, onions, lettuce, and tomato. It comes on a really nice potato bun and served with a side. Yesterday, they had a shaved brussel sprouts and cabbage vegetable special that was really great. The veggies were cooked and seasoned very well. We've also had their jerk chicken special they offered in the past and that was also really good. I wish we could come here every weekend! read more

Thus is one of our favorite wineries. Right up there with Chandler hill and montelle. We love that they being in great musical talent like Vince Martin for the weekends. Wow the LCW burger is out of this world. Half mushroom and half beef gives your the best of both worlds. Very moist and flavorful without being too greasy. The side dish of Brussels and cabbage was most excellent! Please keep this on the menu. My favorite surprise today was their new red wine, crimson cabernet. Never had a blend of cab and norton plus aged in oak for 18mo like this before. Getting a 2nd bottle of this to go! read more

We went there today. My husband ordered the eggs benedict and the german potato salad (he was hungry!). I had the Farmers Scramble, and ordered a pancake as a side. I thought the pancake would be a 4" round pancake - NOT! It was more like a 9" round pancake! I paired mine with the dry red table wine. My meal was excellent!! And my husband really enjoyed his! And the best part was our server, Randi - she was attentive, positive, and had a big smile that wouldn't quit!! read more

A small winery near or in Marthasville. Very close to the Katy Trail, it would be a nice. place to stop if you're out bike riding. It was crowded but not really so bad that we could not find a table. Service was good. We had a wine sampling and a few snacks. I wasn't really crazy about the wine but I am a snob I guess. I do recommend going here as the people are really nice and the view good. read more

The servers and staff are super, very personable. The food is just mediocre, small portions and expensive, nothing to recommend. Twice we have waited over an hour for a $16 hamburger and items that were a substitute for what we ordered. If you can't get good, fresh food out on time maybe consider food trucks on busy weekends. Beautiful setting but awful wines. We really wanted to like this place as it was so nice to look out over the valley from their patio. The Viognoles tasted like peanut butter, no exaggeration and everyone in our party agreed. The reds were awful, very bitter finishes to most.. Our goal was to find one we liked and all three of us tried different tastings for a good variety. We were unsuccessful between dry to sweet there was not a good one in the bunch. Lake Creek Winery is one of the better wineries on HWY 94. Great views, excellent wines compared to the HWY 94 wineries. Some of their products are from Lodi for those folks who do t like the Missouri chambercin Or Norton grape. Great proprietors and staff too who appreciate their customers. Great winery stop! The brothers were accommodating for our 20 person group. We called weeks in advanced, and honestly forgot to call them two days ahead of time like they requested (really sorry about that one!) but they were very low key about us showing up. They had two guitarists out on their *heated* porch! From our party, the BLT was a hit-the bacon was so thick we questioned how it could be bacon. The pretzels and cheese were also a favorite. The wine selection was perfect - not so many you couldn't decide. And for the tasting you were able to select three and keep the glass! I'm sure the vibe during the summer is just as awesome! read more

We always enjoy visiting. The view is great, the atmosphere is appealing, the service is good, and the music can be fantastic. There only two things that need to improve: 1 - There needs to be live music in the evenings (past 4) on Fri and Sat. It occasionally happens, but more often than not, it doesn't. 2 - Bacon (and BLTs) are not seasonal - need to have this year 'round! read more

I have been to pretty much every single winery within 2 hours of STL and this one is one of the top two, along with Holy Grail (in Augusta). Lake Creek is so far above the rest in quality of wine, food, and tasting room ambiance and service that I highly recommend skipping all other wineries and simply coming straight here (with a pre or post stop at Holy Grail). Their food is as good as the best restaurants in STL - fresh ingredients, perfectly made pastas, a Russian - inspired flair, and perfectly blended flavors. For Russian-inspired, try the Stroganoff (it's as good as in St. Petersburg). Their wine is on par with wines in Napa Valley, all are very drinkable and their whites are shockingly good (I'm not a white wine fan but they have converted me!) - I'm not sure what magician they spirited in, but all the other missouri wineries would benefit by taking a page or the whole book out of Lake Creek's book! For those of you that are locals there is nothing better than going winery hopping on a nice bright Sunday. We had some folks from out of town, it was nice so we did just that. We decided that we would forgo our typically winery stops and make this an adventure for everyone.. so we tried something new. This place is a little out of the way from your typical wineries, but still in the same general area. Fun Fact: It shares a fence line with Daniel Boone burial site and farm. (Look up the weird story with that burial if you want a wiki hole to fall into.) You will go up a gravel hill to what looks like my Great Aunt Mildred's home but it's a winery I promise. Now I went in Covid season so the inside was not available. You go around back and it's a party. Plenty of seats for this small winery. Now it's a beautiful view of the vineyard HOWEVER as my out of town friend pointed out- there is neither a lake or a creek. Since the inside is unavailable they are offering wine tasting at the table which is a wine flight where you choose whichever wines- get as many of these flights as you want. The service was a bit ... um short but it was busy. Would have appreciated the chance for water refills a little more often on a hot wine day. The food was pretty good. We only had apps so we didn't fill up. But that queso was delicious with a kick! The live music was one of the best sets I've heard at a winery; really gotcha goin! The wine was a bit underwhelming,(except for the Pinot Noir) which at a winery is a bit of a negative. We will be back- just might wait for a bit to return. read more

What a find. Ken, the owner, was onsite; he was very hospitable and led us through a tasting of their delicious wines. The setting is very charming and the house beautifully refurbished. Amazing Experience!!! We visited Lake Creek Winery in the evening for a wine tasting and snacks! The atmosphere was very cozy and comfortable. The wine was delicious. After the amazing wine tasting, we got a bottle of our favorites the Farmhouse Sunset and the Winemakers Blend. We also tried the Pretzels and Bier Cheese and Charcuterie Board for our snack. The view and setting are lovely. The wine was good. I was disappointed with the BLT. The bacon was thick and limp. It was greasy and had very little taste. I asked the server to have the bacon cooked more. She said it was smoked twice so it was definitely cooked. I should have insisted the bacon be cooked more. The tomato was so thin it couldn't be tasted. The sandwich was a disappointment. I only ate a few bites. read more

We had a delightful dinner at the Lake Creek Winery. We arrived late (our fault, used the wrong GPS directions) but because we had phoned ahead, they kept the kitchen open for us. This is a beautiful winery up upon a hilltop with a great view. They have a golf cart that will even give you a ride from the uphill parking lot which is a BIG bonus! It is a full service winery which is hard to come by with friendly wait staff for your every need. Tasty food and good music to top the experience. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because I like sweet wine and their sweetest is more of a semi sweet. This was a disappointment considering this wonderful new find of a winery:( read more

Best food at any winery hands down. This place could stand on its own as the best restaurant in the area but it's also a great winery. Patio drinking and dining with a band and breeze. What could be better? Maybe the bier cheese that comes with the pretzels. Is amazeballs a real word? If not it should be to describe that cheese. When I travel to the area this is my favorite place to have a bottle (or two) of wine and some appetizers or a meal. read more

We reckon then that you stretch your wine travels for local wineries a little for their down a the Augusta wine trail past 94 to Martha's ville To this winery. Beautifully refurbished It has a large patio space, Both open and covered with a fabulous view of the Missouri river Valley. The wines are tasty and the tastings are relatively inexpensive and include a souvenir glass. We had a Burger special and a veggie pinwheel appetizer that were both superbe. read more

We biked to Lake Creek on the Katy Trail from Augusta, which was about a 10 mile ride. Lake Creek is just about a 2 minute bike ride from the trail. We parked our bikes and had to walk up a pretty steep gravel driveway to reach the winery, which was very difficult for my parents, but we made it. The bartender was pretty friendly, and we did a tasting. We found tables outside and ordered an appetizer and a few sandwiches. We liked the spinach and artichoke dip the best. Our waitress outside was very friendly, and the outdoor atmosphere was very nice with a great view. Overall, I would recommend this winery and would return! Just beware of the steep, gravel hill! read more
