She directed us to the door and we were greeted by two more people. Luckily we had reservations as every table had a personalized reserve sign including our time and number in party. When making our reservation we were given the choice of the music room or some other room. We chose the back of the music room and it was perfect. There are five tables and we could see and hear the two musicians. We ordered chicken salad, tuna melt and cucumber salad. We also had a small dish of fresh fruit. We were in no hurry and our food was delivered at just the right time. The wait staff are mature women and seem to love their job. The Old House is charming and we were encouraged to tour the house on our own. As a result, I plan to bring my friends for the holidays.

My wife and I went with a all Norton grape flight ($12), consisting of Unoaked Norton, Norton, Owner's Reserve Norton, and Estate Vineyard Norton. Looking back, it would have made more sense to try a larger variety, but I initially wanted to focus on the grapes that are the most popular in this area. The wine did go good with the food ordered, including a good St. Louis style meat pizza ($22), and a hummus tray ($12). Sadly, my friend later told me this had been the one attempt of St. Louis style pizza during our 3 day stay, which if I had known, would have made me get a different meal so I could try another one of the iconic pizza places around the St. Louis area. Noboleis was started with the purchase of the 84 acre property in 2005, and bottled their first wines in 2009. It is still family owned and operated today, with the name being a blend of the three families involved in its creation.
