Have had unbelievable experience with Agents from Rubloff out of their New Buffalo Offices in working with them over the past 8yrs on the purchase of both my primary and second homes and have referred them to a few friends as well who have been extremely grateful for the referral. When I was told Prudential Rubloff had acquired the rental company formerly known as New Buffalo Vacation Rentals, I was more than happy to give them a try this year to rent out our second home. We've rented only once before but by a smaller organization in the area. I was looking forward to having my home professionally managed and thought a larger company with Prudential Rubloff's reputation might be better. We signed a contract with them April 1st and they've recently found us a renter for the summer.

I can't speak for their other properties, but I assume they're nicely furnished and equally enjoyable. No issues with the property at all. It really was as if a family, who enjoyed hanging out and having fun, vacated their house for our use. I give 4 stars instead of 5, because I think the rental agreement is a wee bit knit-picky and also because there was a slight glitch with the payment...however Dan, the owner, personally took care of the issue immediately. In the end, everything turned out just fine. Just follow all the rules and there shouldn't be any issues. We slept 14 guys comfortably, although we did bring some air mattresses. Dan stopped by when we first arrived, just to make sure everything was OK, then we didn't see him again. If you're considering renting in New Buffalo, I recommend looking at some of New Buffalo Vacation Rentals, and I specifically recommend 'As Good as it Gets'.

Unfortunately, our stay was impacted by multiple major maintenance and water intrusion issues that made large portions of the property unusable. The most concerning issue was large amounts of groundwater leaking up through a floor drain on the ground level, resulting in standing water and creating an unpleasant environment. Additionally, groundwater was overflowing from the ground-level toilet, raising significant concerns about the property's drainage, plumbing, and overall maintenance. The problems became even worse when we discovered that a cracked shower in the upper-level bathroom was leaking substantial amounts of water into a first-floor bedroom below. Water drained through the ceiling for over 12 hours, causing visible damage and making the bedroom unusable for the duration of our stay. As a result, we also lost access to the upstairs bathroom, significantly reducing the functionality of the home and creating a major inconvenience for our group. When you book a premium Michigan City VRBO, Beachwalk resort rental, Lake Michigan vacation home, or Indiana beach getaway, you expect a clean, well-maintained property that is ready for guests. Instead, we dealt with groundwater intrusion, plumbing failures, water damage, moisture issues, and the loss of critical living space. These issues negatively affected our vacation and did not reflect the quality advertised for a Beachwalk Community rental property. For travelers looking for a Michigan City beach vacation, Beachwalk Community lodging, Lake Michigan rental property, Northwest Indiana vacation home, weekend beach getaway, or luxury beach house rental in Michigan City, I would recommend thoroughly researching alternatives and staying far away from this property. The management company, Third Coast Vacations, had to send maintenance people out on four separate occasions to deal with the above issues, further impacting our stay. On the fourth occasion, one stood in the main room, patted me on the shoulder, and told me, "We would be taken care of," insinuating they cared about us. However, after checking out, that could not have been further from the truth. Communication had to be initiated by us for any resolution, and that resolution is a far cry from making up for all that we experienced in this trip. The combination of groundwater flooding, toilet overflow, ceiling leaks, water damage, unusable bedrooms, and loss of bathroom access made this one of the most disappointing vacation rental experiences we've had. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend Take It Easy at 400 Beachwalk, Michigan City, Indiana, and would not consider staying here again or recommending anyone else risk a vacation at this house. EDIT: The owner mentions a "healthy refund" in their response. I guess we have different definitions of what "healthy" and "taken care of" mean from this rental company.

They always meet us at the house to welcome us back, let us know about what is new in the area, leave us treats or fresh flowers and are always very responsive if we need a new tank of propane or have an issue. We have rented a few different homes from them and are always very impressed at how clean the houses are. The attention to detail from the housekeeping staff and little touches are noticed throughout the houses. We know we can start our vacation the minute we walk through the door and not have to worry about cleaning. We always feel at home in Aqua Vacation Rental homes and Tonya love and passion for their business is very evident! We look forward to staying again next year!"

We paid $1,800 for 2 nights for 3 couples…read more We all were coming from different homes in different locations and had to drive 3 separate cars. We were told that there were enough spots for 2 vehicles and would have to be parked someplace else (they did provide a suggestion where) none of our friends wanted to do that. We had 2 couples drive together and 1 couple drove separate. One couple made a whole day out of it and they brought their bikes and got there 1 hour earlier then I had explained that check in was. I asked for an earlier check in and a later check out and was denied because they claimed they had renters before us and after us but when I checked that was not the case on the Airbnb website. This is what gets me the most, I asked for 1 extra roll of toilet paper just in case we had 6 adults so did not want to run short. Denied was told that they supply what they rationed was 3 rolls of toilet paper and anything extra is on us. You pay $1,800 for 2 nights and you can't ask for more toilet paper? At a hotel you can! The day of the check out we were 30 minutes late checking out and we were bombarded with phone calls, emails, text messages that we're late checking out and we must exit asap that their maid was outside waiting to clean the place because it's rented right after us (again a lie) don't worry we gave your cleaning lady got $20.00 for her time. What's awesome is the quiet comfort of this neighborhood. Not the same hustle and bustle you get staying in New Buffalo. The neighbors, many of which own the beautiful homes nearby, are friendly and quiet. You're a 2 minute walk to the Whistle Stop grocery and Roadhouse restaurant. And a 5 minute walk to a PRIVATE beach. The outdoor area includes a generous patio with tables, a fire pit, and outdoor shower for after beach-going. There looks to be a communal indoor dining room right off the patio. The rooms were sunny and cozy. A perfect home away from home. Relaxation was the name of the game. We were frustration free for 4 days, and that's why you come up this way.

My husband swept it off. And weeds around patio. We got woke up at 2am by the neighboring room. Slamming the door, talking, yelling at the dog, cussing and sounded like dropping things all morning. A storm came through and knocked the power out so between no power and a very very noisy neighbor we ended up checking out at 730 am. The last 2 issues aren't necessarily the Inns fault, but just not as good of a stay as before.
