Our family stayed ast "as good as it get" for a week in august of 2011. What more can i say than it was as great as it gets. The house was incredible the kitchen was well stocked, the bedrooms were spectacular. I was ready to buy this house! we had really explicit instructions on what to do, how to get in, and how to leave. As one person said while we were walking home from downtown one she said every weekend there is a lot of laughter at that house. Having everything t just like home or even better sure makes well for a happy house. I thought it was great set up; when coming back from the beach having the garage to put everything away or drying off item, walking to washing to cleanup; what a set up. Our grandkids of ages 3 thur 11 enjoyed playing, ball, digging for worms; in the back yard ; most of all the bonfire and smores what a delight. We even had a a Sunday night dance in the living room; dad's with their daughter's; then every one followed in the line around the house. Plenty of room for all to eat around the extended table. Only thing i missed was the ice maker; but that would almost be impossible to keep ice with bookings from week to week; also would have liked a small refigerator in cottage. Oh buy the way grandma & grandpa stayed there away from all the kids, ...ha ha but grandma enjoyed the kids coming over in the moring and waking me up. It was nice area to walk to the beach; we only took one car each time due to parking there, and then others walked, and also joyed the walk to Onkies ice cream shop a favoite of the 3 yr old twins. We recently stayed at "Youngren Hideaway" in Harbert, Michigan. We had been to the area before and wanted a rental house close to the beach here. This house is just lovely! Our favorites were the large kitchen, two master bedrooms, tennis court and, most of all, the HOT TUB! I would suggest to the owners to have both of the king sized beds in the master suites (one suite currently has only a double bed, and a king sized bed is in another, smaller bedroom.) The only downsides were minimal inconveniences and did not greatly effect our stay; This includes that here was quite a bit of clutter that seemed to belong to the owner or possibly just be things other renters has left-like a drawer in the bathroom full of used deodorant, used toothpaste, razors, etc., clothing in the closets in the bedrooms, shoes in the garage, etc. We weren't quite sure if these were intended to be available for guests to use if they had forgotten something or if these were just the owners' old things. Secondly, the rental company seemed to be on the slightly disorganized side; I had to contact them and follow up multiple times about issues where there seemed to be some confusion/lack of communication on their end including about booking, our rental agreements, and payment. These negatives were greatly outweighed by the positives of the great house and wonderful stay we had. I would definitely recommend this property and would love to return! read more

My family currently lives in Fl but every summer we go up to New Buffalo for a family getaway and see friends and family from our days in living in Chicago - it's easy to swing by Chicago when it is only an hour away. Most times friends come visit us in New Buffalo to getaway from the big city We have been staying at New Buffalo Vacation Rentals homes since they started their business a while ago. We have stayed in a couple of different locations in New Buffalo during our times - just depended on our group size. Both homes have been great - well appointed and right by the shops and beach. Our kids are able to walk around and explore. Dan and Anna have been great to work with. They have been more than accommodating with us since we have been back time and again. They have left goodies for us on our arrival and swing by to make sure we are all taken care of. We love New Buffalo and will continue to stay in their properties when we are there. I can not say enough great things about Anna, from New Buffalo Vacation Rentals!! She is absolutely fabulous, and if you are thinking of booking through them, you should definitely work with her. Not only was she super friendly, she was unbelievably helpful. My fiancee and I were having trouble finding a location for our Harbor Country wedding for approx. 100 attendants. No one wanted that many ppl on their property, especially during the summer (understandable). But Anna contacted the owners of a few properties that had hosted weddings in the past, and not only called me right back the next day, she even gave me the contact info of an inn in the area that would probably be a good fit for us (both property owners with NBVR had said no to our wedding). All in all, it was one of the best examples of good customer service that I have experienced in a long time. We stayed at "Shoreline" cottage & had a great time. The house was absolutely beautiful (decorated so cute!) & slept 2 families just fine. Our favorite part was the screened in porch, for breakfast, board games, snacks, cocktails, late night chats. All the homes are surrounded by woods so they feel private even though it's a small neighborhood. The association pool was a 2 minute walk from our house, and everyone we met at the pool was so friendly. The town is 5 min. away, the beach is 5 min away, lots of restaurants to try, etc. The only drawback was that through the woods is the Red Arrow Hwy 12, and sometimes it could be noisy if you sat on the wraparound porch facing it. You can't see the cars much, but you can hear them. Also a train (amtrak) runs parallel to the hwy so trains & whistles are several times a day - the other family found it charming but we didn't so much. Everyone at Rubloff was great & they accommodated our last minute rental. Great vacation!! :) read more

Hearing from friends how great the Harbor Country area is all the time, a couple of us finally rented a townhouse in downtown new buffalo from New Buffalo Vacation Rentals in the late summer. We had a great time. Being right downtown New Buffalo, we were able to walk to the beach, The Stray Dog (loved the rooftop!), and all the shops and restaurants around there. The townhouse we stayed at was nice, clean, and had a pool which we used all the time. I prefer chlorine over sand. The house had a ton of stuff for us to use - games, books, movies and even high speed internet. It was perfect for a girls getaway weekend. New Buffalo Vacation Rentals was very helpful in the process and even sent us a lot of resources so we could do some research about how to spend our getaway and stopped by after we got there to make sure everything was all good. There are no words to describe how great an experience I had renting with Rubloff. My family and I rented their Picket Fences property for 5 days and I was amazed at not only the condition of the property but also every detail that was covered to ensure you had a wonderful stay. The location of the property was excellent and this house had everything you could possibly want. The property sits on a corner lot which makes for a huge yard. It has a beautiful and completely stocked kitchen with a screened porch complete with a swing!! Three bedrooms and a large living and dining room area give you more than adequate room inside if the weather does not cooperate. I give this house and this rental group my highest recommendation. This experience is one we will most definitely do again and I hope Picket Fences will be available again next summer!!! read more

We rented this house for my dad's 60th birthday celebration and had an absolute blast! The house was not only adorable and fabulously decorated, but had everything your home would have. Very well kept and comfortable sleeping with the best of linens and mattress, we slept just as good as home! They had a great selection of fun board games and plenty of channels on the TV which some rental places lack. The staff couldn't have been more informative and helpful in giving us some unique information and just letting us know all that New Buffalo had to offer. Also the couch house is just the icing on the cake, my brother/sister in law & 1 & 1/2 year old nephew loved the privacy and worked wonderful with noise control for his napping/sleeping. Will definitely be back and would highly recommend to anyone else! read more

Our family has been renting from New Buffalo Vacation rentals for years. We love the town of New Buffalo, and have stayed at quite a few of the 20+ properties available. They are all decorated very cozily with with new furnishings. The homes have the feel of a second home and are very inviting. We have dogs and some of the properties are dog friendly which is a plus for us. We don't have children, although the homes seem to be kid friendly and are great for familes or groups. NB Vacation rentals is a nice option for those who would prefer all the ammeneties of a home vs a hotel. The properties we've stayed at have all been in good locations. New Buffalo is a great little town with lots on offer and definitely worth checking out anytime of year! read more

Rented a house in New Buffalo. It was a very nice, remodeled house. Perfect for a couple of couples (in our case) or a family to have a week/weekend away. We stayed at the Downtown Hideaway. Nice kitchen and bathrooms. Bring your own pots if you will be doing a lot of cooking. But they had penty of glasses, plates, etc. King and Queen beds were confortable. The two twin beds were pretty hard. Within a 6-8 min walk from downtown. I recommend using New Buffalo vacation rentals. They were very responsive and helpful during the process. My family recently came together recently for a Notre Dame game and stayed at house called "As good as it gets". The house is perfectly located downtown New Buffalo where we could walk to everything in town. The house is well appointed and has a separate cottage on the property where part of the group could split off and enjoy their privacy. A creek runs along the property and we could see this being a great location for summer getaways. Big yard, privacy, great location. Anna was great with assistance and on top of the process. We will be coming back and hopefully a summer vacation or possibly to watch a Notre Dame win.....is that too big of a stretch?? A Notre Dame football win?? read more

I had a great experience working with Dan at Rubloff Rentals. During the booking processes he always got back to my questions promptly. I stayed there for a weekend in October for my sister's bachelorette party at their property 'As good as it gets' and had a great time. The house was extremely clean and comfortable. We needed extra towels and Dan himself brought them to the house within an hour. Dan made himself available whenever we needed him. We rented the Town Center.( sleeps 8 people) It had 2 bedrooms upstairs 1 large master bedroom with a king size bed and bathroom, another bedroom with 2 twin beds, downstairs basement had a trundle bed and a pullout couch. It was the perfect size for 6 women in their 30's. There were 3 1/2 bathrooms which made it easy for all of us to get ready. The place was clean, comfy and had all the amenities of home. We all loved it so much that all of us wanted to buy it! This place was also walking distance from the stay dog and a few other bars. If you have a large group staying in New Buffalo, I would recommend staying in one of the NBVR! read more

We stayed at the Dunescape Beach Retreat this past week. It was absolutely fantastic! The perfect location - within walking distance to the beach, shops and more restaurants than we had time to try. The condo association pool was also fabulous! I'm looking at schedules to see when we can return next year, and hopefully many years to come. The only thing to work on is better instructions for garbage day....we didn't know we had to take the cans to the main road and therefore our garbage didn't get picked up. Other than that, all of the directions and communication was perfect. The house was in excellent condition. read more

We stayed at "Stones Throw" a property managed by New Buffalo Rentals. The place was great the best stay we've had in New Buffalo yet. The townhome was squeaky clean, nice and bright & offered a ton of space for our family, the beds were also very comfortable, plus its a perfect location that's within walking distance to Stray Dog, downtown and the beach. Check in was very easy and they were very responsive with all the questions that we had even on a holiday weekend. Our group of 9 came to Michigan to ride the Apple Cider Century in Three Oaks. We decided to stay at "As Good as it Gets" for the night before the ride and the night after. The property was perfect for a group our size. It easily accomated all of us and we had a great time. We especially liked the three bathrooms in the main house, the close proximity to town and the fire pit for a bonfire on our last night. We would definely go back another time. We arranged the rental through Rubloff Rentals and found Anna to be extremely helpful and prompt in responding to all of our questions. read more

We stayed at "the Getaway" in New Buffalo. We had a wonderful time and the place was awesome! It was my family of four plus my parents and our dog. The condo was perfect, had ample space for the 6 of us. It was great having the screened porch only steps from the pool. The only criticism I have is the pull out couch was a little worn, I would not reccomend adults sleep on it, but was fine for our kids. The kitchen could also use a griddle. However, all in all I found this the perfect place to "Getaway" with only a 2 hour drive from Chicago! read more

Rented 15445 Place for my husband's annual family get-together weekend. We had a large group with several couples and multiple kids and the house was laid out perfectly for us with lots of private bedrooms and bathrooms. Beautiful house, great location (although the walk to the public beach access was a little long). Great kitchen and common areas, with a nice open layout. Decorated very nicely with a modern feel--it felt kind of like we were staying in a hotel... minus the daily maid service, of course! read more
