At that time I raised an objection, because I had never paid that fee in five years with the same insurance carrier. They now fully admit the mistake, but are offering no remediation. They advised me to call my insurance carrier. This is not their problem to fix, it is the optometrist's office. I have made now, three attempts to rectify this. Once while present, twice via phone. They are refusing to refund the cost that they fully admit we should never have been charged. Comically they suggested that I should have known that we shouldn't be charged that fee. I responded that I did know that, that's why I objected in the office, when it was presented. Once the circular reasoning starts, there is no point in continuing a conversation. Keep your money. I hope not having returning customers is worth it to you.

I've had so many memories of some of the staff helping me pick out frames and providing an outside opinion! I recently had an exam with Dr. Laschen, and she was fantastic. I'm not someone who likes to talk a lot during any type of appointment, and it seemed like she was quick to pick up on that. I was in and out in a breeze. When I picked up my glasses today, the staff were super understanding of how specific I like my glasses to fit and were able to nearly replicate the shape of my old glasses.

I previously had an eye care doctor since 2014 when post age 50 I had my first eye exam and consequently my first ever set of contacts and glasses. Well well well..... As in all things - nothing is created equal. Dr Horner proved that my first (emergency) appointment this past summer; where it was blatantly obvious to me a newbie to eye care needs; that she left my previous eye doctor at the starting gate at med-school. Dr Horner was through, accurate, concerned, compassionate and aggressive at correcting immediate eye care needs as well as quickly detailing an action plan for weeks to months forward.
