Staff is super friendly and accommodating. The owners are consistently maintaining and updating the resort. They care about this place and their guests! We have rented a cabin 4 different summers and have zero interest staying anywhere else in the Lake George area. My only ask is more love for the fitness center, maybe a smith machine and some heavier dumbbells? To be clear, that's not a negative comment, I'm just being needy. Haha. Lights in room are limited & dimmed , not much light within the whole room. Amenities on this property were great . Plenty of sports and well equipped . Staff were helpful , respectful & hard working . Lake & sandy beach area was kept clean & organized. There's a bit of a drop hike to get to the lake BUT they offer complimentary golf cart service to & from.

We stayed in a room with 2 queen beds, it was very spacious and clean. There was only two draws to put our clothes so we each only got one. The shower was big, but the water pressure wasn't great. Overall, it was a nice experience and I would recommend staying here. Also there is a roof top which is very nice and has a view of the lack and mountais. You definitely need to check it out.

The room had two king beds, a small miracle for a man accustomed to one, and the soundproofing was a triumph of human engineering. Even with Oktoberfest raging below, once the balcony door was closed the silence was so complete that I could almost hear my own thoughts apologizing for existing. The hotel sits right on Canada Street, which is the main artery of Lake George's little heart. Shepard Park is practically across the street, full of families, music, and the particular chaos of people on vacation trying to have a perfect time. The staff managed to stay cheerful through it all, smiling with the kind of sincerity that must come from good training or good souls. Parking was a game of Tetris, but I was grateful for the garage. Once my car was wedged in, I had no reason to drive again. Everything that mattered was within walking distance. The rooftop terrace deserves a poem, though I am too lazy to write one. The lake spread out below, blue and calm, and for a few minutes I believed in peace on earth. There is no hot tub, which feels like a crime against nature. The patio outside the pool almost begs for one. Imagine sitting there in January, snow falling into the water, steam rising like forgiveness. The restaurant did not thrill me, and the prices made my wallet flinch. Still, it was a fine stay, the kind that makes you feel momentarily better about the human race before the bill arrives to remind you of reality. Four stars. A lovely place, too expensive for what it is, but worth remembering all the same.

We have been coming every winter for the past six years and have made some terrific memories here…read more There is so much I genuinely like about this place. The location is convenient and feels like part of our ritual now. The staff are almost uniformly kind and welcoming to our kids and us. They remember us, greet us cheerfully and make this feel like a home base. The outdoor hot tub was a particularly welcome amenity on this past brutally cold weekend and it helped us warm up a chill that seemed to go straight to our bones after time outside on the lake. It really is one of those few places that feels like a welcome retreat no matter the weather. If there weren't any flaws, this would be a much easier review to write. But there are flaws, and they are things that should have been tended to long ago. The rooms have definitely seen better days. Many of our dresser drawers barely opened. The refrigerator was hardly cool. Furniture had visible damage and some of the electrical outlets were non-functional or battered to the points that plugs fell right out f them. These are not deal breaking in isolation but taken together they left us feeling that the room was tired and poorly maintained. A little thoughtful maintenance or investment here could go a long way and make the rooms feel a lot more comfortable. Another disappointment this year was the breakfast buffet at TRs Restaurant. In years past it was a highlight and something our kids looked forward to to prepare for a cold morning out. This visit, the quality seemed to have declined and the selection felt smaller. The restaurant itself still has a lovely lake view and a cozy fireplace, and the service was still friendly and attentive, but the breakfast spread did not live up to our memories. So I find myself landing on a three star rating. If you take this place for what it can still be, it is a wonderful family resort with great staff and some truly nice amenities. But right now the condition of the rooms and some of the public areas combined with the breakfast experience hold it back from being the much stronger destination I know it can be. Here is hoping that ownership puts some money back into the property so it can recapture its full potential.

What started as a simple trip turned into something much bigger a weekend that's about reconnecting, laughing, catching up, and picking up right where we left off every year. By the time the Super Bowl rolls around, it feels less like a trip and more like a reunion. The first week of Winter Carnival just makes it better. The ice bar, great food and drinks, the energy around the resort and town it all sets the tone for an unforgettable winter weekend. A huge part of why this works year after year is the people who make the place feel like home. Courtney, the general manager, keeps everything running smoothly and consistently she sets the standard. Tyler and Nicole at the bar are always a big part of the weekend, and Becca and Tonya at the front desk make arrivals feel easy and welcoming every single time. Even in the heart of winter, the place is always spotless thanks to Keisha and her housekeeping crew something we appreciate more than most people realize. Sixteen straight Super Bowl weekends, countless memories, and friendships that keep growing. Some traditions just stick because they're done right. Can't wait to see everyone again at the Holiday Inn Resort Lake George. Already counting down.

My biggest complaint is the guests. Kids are running up and down the hallways at all hours and the walls are thin so you hear everything. There are chairs outside every door, so people are sitting out there late at night carrying on loud conversations, which again can be easily heard. There should be a quiet time after 10. If you're traveling with young children, you should know that there is no beach area where they can gradually go into the water. The stairs off the dock are the only way in, but our group of non swimming 3-5 year olds did fine with floaties. The only disappointing thing was that there was no shampoo or soap in the bathrooms. For the price of this home, I feel that this should be included. Also, you should know that there are no spices. If you're planning to cook in, which we did every night, you will need to bring your own spices, olive oil, etc. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, crock pot, coffee maker and plenty of dishes. Properties are beautiful and well appointed but they are notorious for after charges with claims. My recent stay I was not happy that they don't release the address until check in time especially when traveling 3 hours to get there. Overall, the unit was relatively clean, although I did find hair left in the shower and cobwebs in the bunk area. The hot tub had not been cleaned and, despite being covered, was full of leaves and bugs. The shower water pressure was extremely weak and noticeable cob webs throughout the home. Also, the bunk bed is listed as a king bed, which is inaccurate. Despite these issues, I was happy with my stay and was even considering booking one of their properties again. Several days after my stay I discovered an unexpected $500 charge on my credit card with absolutely no notice or warning. When I checked the app to find out what the charge was for, I found a message from the host simply stating: "stained linens throughout the rental." This accusation was both vague and unreasonable. We barely used the rental and only slept in one of the 3 beds and followed all check out rules to leave the unit spotless. To be charged $500 after the fact, without any prior communication, photos, evidence, or opportunity to discuss the issue, was extremely disappointing and has completely changed my opinion of this property management company. After contacting Vrbo to dispute the charge and multiple attempts to contact the property with no response. northern provided photo proof of alleged soiled linens. 1. A kitchen towel/rag that had signs of food on it (washable), 2. A pillow case with a slight soiled spot (washable) and 3. A towel that had dirt marks on it (washable). All issues were normal use and could be washed and definitely did not result in the need to replace: as requested by northern to the extent of 1. 2 pillow shams (only one was soiled) 2. a new comforter which they had no proof of any damage to 3. New dish towel 4. 6 full sets of towels (only one set was even used - they provided 3 total - 1 set for each bed and the unused ones remained folded in place where they were placed by northern) Potential guests should be aware of the possibility of additional charges, inaccurate bed sizes and most important significant post-stay charges and proceed with caution. Inspect every inch upon arrival and before departure and take photos and videos. Or even better. Don't stay at their properties at all.

The one thing I did not like was the fact that when we did get my son, we went back to the hotel and we went to go swimming and they were drinking and smoking in the pool, not outside the pool, not around the pool in the pool so cigarette ashes and everything else were falling in the pool. Along with drinking in the pool, which is a serious thing, especially if somebody gets hurt while intoxicated and in the water and they were not drinking just one or two they had a whole 12 pack in front of them that they were drinking. Anyway, we told the manager and the manager told us that it doesn't matter we allow that Well that sealed the deal for me. I did not wanna go back. Before we left I did speak to the new general manager that was just hired on and she told me that she will definitely take care of it and apologized for the inconvenience. Whether it's actually stopped or not, I do not know that was a major downside to me and it was also a major drawback to ever wanna go back to that place again. I do not ever tell anyone not to go to a place because there's always room for improvement and if they improve then by all means go back, but I cannot say that I would recommend this place to anyone either. If you're ever in the area and want someplace to stop, you can stop there if you would like, but it's not my recommendation. Hopefully they truly get themselves together and change the policies so it's safer when kids are in the area. Thank you for listening.

Service: One server for our party, she was nice but a little oddly for a server she didn't know what ginger ale was and wasn't sure if they had decaf. Our food came out with a pretty big gap between plates, I was finished with mine by the time another in our party got hers. I will say they were very gracious seeing as we were a half hour late. Food: Pretty underwhelming, you could get similar or better food at your local diner. Menu is somewhat limited as well especially for sides and drinks. I got the french toast, it wasn't very moist at all, uninteresting flavor, the strawberry garnish was dried up on the inside so must have been left out for a while, bacon was fine, maple syrup was good. I had a few bites of the omelette which was good and home fries which were on the dry side and without much flavor. Value: It wasn't too expensive thankfully despite being marketed as a 'fine dining experience' I'd say value was about even with the low quality food, french toast was $11. Overall definitely would not recommend, you could get better food at a diner or cafe.

The Heritage grounds are absolutely perfect - clean, fresh, and well maintained on every level. The pool was clear and clean, both in and around the gated pool area. I truly love that you have the option of playing some shuffleboard or corn hole as you dry off from all the cannon balls you did in the pool. The fire pit is my personal favorite, and love this as a perfect night cap to sit and listen to the songs of nature or music from your phone! If you check in on Yelp, don't forget to claim your s'mores kit! I'm a sucker for s'mores! The room we had, Room #118, was a really quiet room. The housekeeping did a great job preparing the room for our arrival, and cleaned it to perfection on days we wanted the room made up. Our room was equipped with two queen size beds, so there was no cover hogging on this trip. The bathroom is on the smaller side, but comes complete with everything you would need for a getaway. The heated lamps in the bathroom are a nice touch, especially on cooler nights. Our shower had a continuous leak that we couldn't adjust, so we had to let the water drip; we couldn't hear anything over the AC, so that was fine with us. The continental breakfast is on the sweeter, more sugary side, and we honestly decided to explore other options for breakfast to better start our day. If we were going to be bad eating this vacation, we wanted to make the calories count - like, ice cream every night for example. The staff and overall spotlessness of the Heritage is what really made us come again for the third time in a row; we will see you again soon!
