Started at the central Park entrance off of Dale street walked all the way to the nature center, around the boardwalk and back--it was a lovely path. Much of it was paved, but there was some dirt/wooden trails once you got to the nature center. They have bathrooms, but I couldn't find a water fountain which was a bummer. Definitely a cool spot right in the middle of the neighborhood. It is a busy place though so the parking lot does fill up but there's also a few parking lots and plenty of street parking.

I sat on a bench by the lake and read my book and several people stopped to talk to me. Everyone here is so friendly. The park has a beautiful covered pavilion, also a dock with kayaks and swan paddle boats. Due to my knee issues I didn't get to walk much of the park, but as you can see from the photos it is very beautiful in May.

When I walk, I love that there are plenty of places to park and that there are so many points of interest to admire along the 3 mile loop. They must rake the beach so that all the creepy floaty thingys stay at bay. The fish however really like to bite at this one which kind of creeps me out. I mush prefer a good chlorinated swimming pool, but those aren't always available. There are lifeguards at this location. The swimming area is quite small and quite shallow, but I think its made more for the kiddies not for doing any serious laps or anything. Basically its a nice little area to go cool off in. The park itself is nice. There are picnic tables up the hill. It's clean and well maintained. Flat surface parking, but it does fill up pretty quickly making it difficult to find a spot on a really warm day.

It's completely paved if you have probs walking (like me) or have a lovely in a wheel chair!! 2. You want to swim! The beach didn't appear to have life guards. But there is plenty of swimming room... or SUP, or kayak.. or... 3. Want to host a party! Every weekend the pavilions are being used for gatherings! It's pretty cute! 4. Love photography! The wild flowers are insane this year (even with the lack of rain)! 5. Are an urban forager! I got a bowl full of blackberries today! Delicious 6. You're a mocker. You hang that hammock anywhere you can! 7. You bike! The trek by the lake links to other trails! Well paved are ready for the cycles! Or you just love a good playground! Go to this park!! That being said, I do want to make a note that the Playground is in a completely different area than the beach. Even though it's right across the street, you cannot see the beach from the playground and vice versa. They have single stall toilets, which were pretty nice as well.
