If you have read my reviews before you know I offer up the long and the short because sometimes you just don't have the time to read and sometimes, well, I don't know about yours but my life IS comedy & I try to share. Short: Dr Trejo and the team at the Eagle location are absolutely wonderful and incredibly ethical. Call Now. Long: It was the Thursday before Memorial day weekend and I had been preparing a veggie tray for a party. I had heard one odd crunch but, ya know carrots, whatever. Until it was time for bed. I brushed and had an increasing ache. I thought for sure I must have cracked a tooth! I was in a near panic. I might have to wait until Monday? Would I get an infection? Lose a tooth? I found a place in town that opened at 6:30AM and you can bet I was there - only to find out the DR wouldn't be taking appointments until 1:30PM, MAYBE I could get looked at today but I was told "The next appointment to TRY to fix it would be June 22!?" "Try?" People go a month with a cracked tooth? All I could think was that would be an infection for sure! In a panic I went home and started calling everyone - then (and I wish I knew her name!) a lovely admin at the Emerald location said they were closed but there was an appointment at the Eagle location in an hour. She said she would call and tell them I was on my way and would likely be late (Now I know everyone says it's "only 45 min to Boise" but apparently I drive slow? ) Can I tell you these people are the NICEST, like Trader Joe's nice! Every last one of them, from the lady who saw me at the wrong door, let me in and walked me through the office because the back door is in the front (What?! LOL! Don't whip in and park closest to Eagle like I did, go past there then around to the left.) The ladies in the waiting room to the hygienist who took my x rays and got me settled in. Everyone was so upbeat and friendly. Then I met Dr Trejo. He was incredibly kind. And it was at that moment that I learned you can BRUISE a tooth. Did you know that? Is this common knowledge? Sure, logical, teeth have nerves too but I struggled to believe him, LOL! Don't tell him but I googled it in the car, I really thought maybe he was just trying to help me not feel dumb. Of course I was equally relieved and so embarrassed. (Again, it's me feeling dumb all on my own they were so very kind) I happily paid that $150 thanking my lucky stars because how much is a crown? Sure enough it ached for the next day or two but it's fine now. Also, I should mention if you do not have dental insurance they have a $33 a month plan and it does give an additional 20% off any additional work. They are the worst .. no one answers the phone ... Waiting 3 months for preprocessed approval. After multiple phone calls ..I moved on they should win the worst of Boise award read more

He's a terrible Dentist. He messed up on my Bridge and then promised to fix it. He also removed a molar but left the root tips in there when he put the bone implant on top. Then he "dismissed" me from his practice and it cost me several thousand dollars to fix it all. DO NOT go to Dr. Grant for dental work. He's a liar, a terrible Dentist and only cares about money to build his practice. read more

I broke a tooth and went to Grant Dental and saw Dr. Brent Wheeler, DMD to get it fixed. This was my first time here. I needed a crown. The procedure was easy and I didn't have any pain or discomfort during the procedure or afterwards. Dr. Wheeler took his time to explain what was needed and the process. I have been going to Dr. Grant for several years and have been nothing but satisfied with the work that has been done. The office is super nice and comfortable going in. The office staff is efficient and welcoming. The docs are all great but Dr. Grant is a cut above any other docs (dentists or medical)I have ever encountered. He truly cares about patients. Their billing is efficient and they do their best to accommodate you. If I ever had to move I would fly in just to see Dr. Grant! read more

This is the fanciest dental office I have ever visited lol. I guess my previous experiences have always been super small practices with 1 dentist. But I made an appt here for a cleaning and ended up needing a deep cleaning. Was able to make all the appts up front. All the staff are nice. My hygienist is Janeal and she's great. Dr. Grant pulled three teeth that had completely rotted due to neglect and decay under a beautiful crown which mislead me to think my teeth were OK. From beginning Dr. Grant was concerned with me feeling pain. He did everything humanly possible to avoid pain. He said I would feel pressure but should not feel pain. He called later in the day to see how I was fairing. He is not cheap but what is these days. The staff was wonderful and helpful and I will be going back as long as my credit card hold out. read more

What once began as a personalized landing spot for dental care in early days, unfortunately today is operating more so as a volume shop with less personalized time for/with clients and more focused time for increasing the business' revenue stream. The expansion of the physical office space has brought more than additional care rooms, money appears to be at the top of the care priority and less time is now dedicated to the relationship with patients. The actually dental work has also suffered, seeing routine changes in chair sides and the speed of care appearing to be a measurement vs. a high quality end result. Finished dental work all too often is not finished - just completed and made workable. Questions to ask your dentist: Do you have routine follow up in place at your end to confirm if the patient is doing well post dental procedures ? Do you dedicate front end time to discuss options (pro & con) of solutions to existing dental pain/issues ? Are there protocols in place to be proactive regarding patient history of medication needs ? "Bigger is not always better" or so the saying goes - in this particular instance it all so sadly true. read more

Stay away at all cost, this place will try to suck money out of you for as much as they can, boarder like scam artists. I went to this place because of an infection. I was told I would need to get a bridge or a post done. I opted to do a bridge as it was far less expensive of a procedure. once I arrived to have a procedure done, the dentist removed my current crown and while I'm in the chair, then completely advise a different procedure that would cost more than originally discussed. I immediately stopped moving forward as this sounded really strange to me. I was given a temp crown until I could come back and told that I MUST leave a deposit before I left as It's needed for when I return to finish the procedure. I went and got a second opinion from another dental Office and they told that what was done was not even necessary and my infection could have been retreated... a bridge or post was not needed. When I chose not to return these guys they then claimed my deposit wasn't in fact a deposit but payment for services and they would not refund me until the insurance claim was settled. Once I disputed the charges with my CC company, they then changed their story to claim that it isn't waiting for insurance to clear up but actually to cover the bill of $900+ to numb my mouth, destroy my good crown and leave me with a temp crown that will have to be replaced. All their documentation they provide shows that they gave break downs of what the procedure would have cost, along with a bill for services rendered (numbing and a temp crown) which was never shown to me or signed off on by me, and it is now trying to be passed off as a bill. Sounds pretty odd to me to charge almost $1000 for a temp crown and numbing. Do yourself a favor and look around for other places, these guys will try to milk you for money at any cost they can. I have had family members that have gone to them and never went back as they had similar experiences with these guys. One of my family members had a procedure done and she was in so much pain days later. She went back only to realize that they cracked her good tooth during the procedure and has to fix it. WOW, what a professional and high-tech office. In one visit, Dr. Harker was able to create a crown AND resurface my two front teeth. The resurfacing was scheduled on-the-fly and it looks completely natural, matching the surrounding teeth perfectly. I've also had a teeth cleaning done at this office, which was painless and gentle. All of the staff is professional and courteous. I highly recommend the service at this dental practice. They really deserve 10 stars! read more

Pros: A competent dental office, with few to none of the "you have a mouth full of cavities and need fillings and crowns and dentures" pressure selling. Everyone is polite, considerate, and sensible. The offices are calmly luxurious. Cons: Be wary of any dental office that has special desks where you sit to discuss treatment plans and make payments, with attractive young ladies to consult with you. And not to mention being pumped for positive reviews. I came in for an initial visit following development of a toothache and, feeling under pressure because of the current near-emergency of my tooth, I scheduled a cleaning without thinking to ask how much it would cost me. Now, typically a routine prophylaxis ought to be under $100 - I last paid $85 in a far higher cost of living area - to $120 including x-ray. The consultation, which ought to have led to a crown costing $1,000+ or an implant costing $3,000+, came to $150, and the cleaning was $360. To be fair, the cleaning included a panoramic x-ray, so I guess without it would have been $250. I left with my wallet hurting more than my tooth. They're a fine dental office; just make sure you know what you're getting into. read more

Started going here based on someone recommending this dentist office since I was new to this state. After going here I would not recommend this dental office to anyone. They took X-rays without me needing X-rays knowing my insurance doesn't cover it, they offered fluoride After my cleaning the hygienist told me it's $35.00 I ended up paying $86.00 for it after my visit. Now I have a bill for the X-rays and fluoride which I paid for. Also I got a filing they told me with insurance if I want to take care of my balance of $80.00 which I did. I then received a text message, a email and a phone call that I owe $19.00 even though I paid balance at the end of visit. I have now received 7 text messages, 7 emails in the last week asking for this payment even though I just got the treatment. This office is insane with how they run things. Their hygienist behaves like she is the dentist and recommends treatment which I have never seen a hygienist do. They want to be so upscale but definitely need lots of training along with better ways of running without deceiving their patients of insurance/payments. Luckily I can pay what they have been charging me for but what if someone can't afford to pay because they tell you a amount but then it's more money. Sounds like they getting extra perk from patients. Be careful if you go to this office. read more

Moved to the Treasure Valley recently and was in search of a new dentist for my family of four. I searched Yelp and found that there were great reviews for this office so I set up an appointment, which I had today. My entire experience was great-from the friendly receptionists to the amazing dental hygienists to the dentist. The hygienist who took care of my 3 and 5 year old was outstanding! She made them feel so welcomed and excited to be there and my hygienist was just as friendly and knowledgeable. The dentist, Dr. Harker was amazing as well- he had a consult with me after my cleaning and exam to discuss cosmetic procedures that I asked about. You really get the sense that they care about you and your comfort. There is a reason that this office is rated so highly by patients, I am truly impressed and would refer anyone to them. read more

Hello All, Two days ago I lost a filling from my top front tooth. I called Dr. Grant's office right away (I have been putting off a desperately needed cleaning for 4 months). I had the best experience during this appointment and the previous one I had. Cleaning was so easy and painless. In addition, Dr. Grant fixed my tooth in 10 minutes. The technology in this office is absolutely 5 Stars. The staff is awesome, very professional and extremely down to earth people. The office is very clean and warm friendly environment to be in. I went in with a bad broken/chipped tooth and it was a very pleasant visit. Everyone was super friendly and the price was extremely reasonable. It took about an hour and the doctor was great at explaining what he was doing and what the best option for me was. The staff and hygienist are absolutely amazing. But when it comes to the billing and payment portion of your visit, beware! I was given a quote on how much it would be for my visit. I paid my portion and they billed my insurance after they had contacted my insurance about how much my insurance would cover. Four months later I get a bill for an additional $300! This is not the first time this has happened.. when I called the office and asked someone to call me back I did not receive a return phone call. As much as I appreciate the staff and the hygienist that work there,, it's really hard to refer somebody when there are extra costs, or they are not being truthful about their prices.. I would love to be able to tell my friends and family about Dr. Grants office, however since this is the second time this billing issue has happened with me, I will not be referring anybody in the future. I am so disappointed with the billing department of this office. I am also sad that I'm going to have to take my business elsewhere because I receive a quote, but yet billed completely something different. I have some major dental work that needs to be done. I was worried about finding a dentist that I can trust. When I walked into his office I was happily greeted by the front desk employee. The office was clean, relaxing, & welcoming. They have a cooler in the waiting area that has cold bottles of water & a coffee pot & K-cups. It's a nice touch. When I was called back, the assistant showed me around the office. It was really nice. The facility seems pretty big, so it was nice to have someone take the time to show me around. The "tour" is really short, but informative. The dentist came in fairly quickly and spoke with me & created a treatment plan. I knew that there was a possibility of needing surgery. Dr. Grant looked at my X-rays & teeth and we discussed what my options are. I made the decision to go to the hospital & have all of my work done at once under general anesthesia. He said that if it were him in my situation, he would also do it through the hospital. I left his office feeling like he was a dentist who truly cares about his patients. I also left with a referral to another dentist as well as a surgery date. Yay!!! Amazing front & back office staff. I highly recommend him as your dentist. He is really amazing & talented. You feel like family when are there. I'm looking forward to having a new smile that I am proud of. read more

Wonderful dentist and a great experience! I'm a new patient who came in for a routine cleaning. Scheduling the appointment was a breeze and the girls were so nice. I had cracked my crown and they worked with me to have it replaced. As an Aetna preferred insurer, the worked with me on a payment plan and I was fitted and had a temporary crown put in the same day. Not even 2 weeks later, my permanent crown arrived. I had an out of state emergency so I needed it in before I left for my trip. I was able to reschedule with no issues. I can't say enough good things about this dental practice. We just moved here a month ago and my husband had to see a dentist for tooth pain that he's had on and off for over a year. His first experience with Dr. Porter, the hygienist, and the assistant were great. I brought my 2 kids in here, as well, for a cleaning and they were excellent with them. The hygienist was friendly and thorough. I also came here for a cleaning and saw a different hygienist and she was also excellent. I searched on Yelp and came across all the positive reviews and I'm so glad we tried this practice. I would recommend them to anyone! Let me just say I HATE going to the dentist. Dr. Grant knows this, and treats me like his favorite patient anyway. Since switching to his office, I don't dread being lectured about flossing (do it in the shower!), and I actually look forward to getting my teeth cleaned. Really bad. Gave me a terrible bite and wouldn't fix it. My teeth had wacky high and low spots on the same teeth. I only had regular cavities fixed and my teeth have hurt terribly FOR WEEKS. Still do. Think they do cavity work on teeth that don't really need it just for the money, because I was at two dentist earlier that said I was fine (I had moved). They are very expensive. Doctor was kind of rude. My teeth are so wacked out and it is so painful. Would not recommend. read more

I recently moved to Meridian and needed help with a bad tooth. Dr. Porter was the first dentist I saw. He was great. Listened to what I had to say, and I felt his empathy. I went home with meds and over the weekend my tooth blew up and by Monday I was in agony. I then met Dr. Grant. He took a look and immediately called a colleague of his to help me. I needed an emergency root canal. He was so concerned and it showed. I got over to Dr. Eaton and he took care of me. I needed more work done and Dr. Grant was just awesome. I can tell you that everyone at the office is just fantastic. From the front office staff to the assistants to the doctors they are all top notch. Dr. Grant has taken great care of me and my wife too. She hates going to the dentist and after her 1st visit she was very comfortable with Dr. Grant. Having recently moved I can't tell you how nice it is to stumble on to such quality care. Maybe stumble is the wrong word. I looked up dentists and have never seen so many good reviews in my life. I trusted them and I am glad I did. The people at Dr. Grants office truly care about their patients and take pride in the work they do. I highly recommend coming here. You won't be sorry. What a wonderful experience! From the moment I contacted this office on the phone to leaving the office from my first appointment today, I am totally impressed, my jaw is on the floor and no I don't have an issue with my jaw, its just there because of the incredible experience I just had. What I am most impressed with is the thorough job the staff and doctors do explaining things. I now have a wealth of knowledge about my teeth and mouth. They informed me and coached me, talked about what I can do to overcome some issues I have and detailed what I could expect. They took the time with me that no one ever has. I felt genuinely cared about and knew after this first visit that I really am in the best of care...anywhere...in any state...in the whole world for that matter. Yes, I am that impressed. Kari at the front desk greeted me with a handshake and a smile, Lindsay was professional and so nice, not to mention very upbeat. Dr Grant looked at the issues I was having and put me at ease.
