We pulled in hot, sweaty, and a little road weary. The campsite with electric and water was very simple but provided a nice bit of shade. The pool was a perfect oasis! We enjoyed showers, did a couple loads of laundry, and restocked on some necessities in the office/store. Every detail seemed well thought out and the facilities were immaculately clean. The hospitality of the owner, employees, and fellow campers was great! We even locked our keys (with our cell phones and our dog ) in our running car and a very helpful employee was able to open it for us! Boy, was this a great experience all around!

Over this past weekend when it was super hot and humid, the goat water supply was empty. I will reach out to LAPORTE COUNTY regarding the animal neglect. Also, there were so many cool returning campers that have moved to the next camping spot up the road due to the poor management and also extremely poor customer service from "Connie" in the office. Such a shame a beautiful parcel of land with decent folks has gone to shit. I just hope that someone who actually enjoys running a campground and taking care of animals will step up and purchase this place. So many folks have considered this their camping home. Shame on the new owners. This place is not a capital gains tax aversion.

There are 100 sites and 90 of them are full-time residents. If you are self-contained, and don't need to use the bathrooms, this place is fine. This is not a safe campground for children. They do not keep up on maintenance on anything! Nasty shower house and pool house. Our AC unit went out in our cabin and they argued it must have been our fault because "We've been renting out this cabin to other people since May and no one has complained." Front office ladies are extremely rude. They would not honor our coupon upon check in saying they didn't believe it to be a real coupon even though they issued those coupons to us at our last stay due to some inconveniences we incurred. We decided to leave a day early and they would not issue us a refund for the night we didn't stay since "we had already used two of our three coupons upon check in." This campground is not even worth a 1* review! I do not recommend this trashy place.

Fine. Second the restrooms were locked and only 2 portapotties were available and the campground was packed. Nasty!!!! They did eventually open them up but closed them again later in the day. Third the upkeep of the tent pad was unsatisfactory, overgrown with weeds, rocks and all other kind of mess!!! One thing that I did enjoy was being able to kayak. Definitely would not be visiting here again
