There is plenty of parking, lots of lakes, cool plants, beautiful flowers, and so much nature!! The Sky Bridge was great and the gift shop has better bathrooms than outside. Although there are many bodies of water as you ride across, there are no waterfalls as the name might suggest. Midway there is a nice cross breeze as it cuts between a lake. Today there was a horde of teenagers walking to the lake and was oblivious to anyone else around them. Hopefully, this is not a regular occurrence as it was difficult to navigate around them.

The trail is a beautifully paved 10.4 mile pathway linking the west side of the City of Jackson with the picturesque Village of Concord, Michigan with its many Victorian homes. The trail was once an old Michigan Central Railroad route and was converted to a Rails-to-Trails recreation area in 2007. The trail runs through rural countryside and beautifully shaded woodlands with only a handful of road crossings. The trail's name reflects the area's natural beauty and the region's native Potawatomi Indian tribe..."The land of Falling Waters". The Jackson trailhead at Weatherwax Drive and Park Road provides plenty of secure parking as does the trailhead ten miles to the west in Concord. Today we rode the full 21 miles out and back in beautiful Michigan summer weather before rewarding ourselves with Orange Creamsicle Milkshakes at Arby's on the way out of town....definitely a 5-star biking experience all the way.

It's located on the shores of Belleville lake. It features lakeside boardwalk, picnic pavilion and wonderful lake views. There is fishing pier and public docks to launch Canoes/kayaks. It's a very nice setting beside the lake with benches and picnic tables. It was nice relaxing to walk down to the fishing deck. There were only few people so we were able to walk around freely. Several food options nearby.

Also a PERFECT spot to watch the sunset, and even do some fishing. We searched out a nearby park to cap off our weekend visit to Belleville for the Thunder over Michigan Air Show, and this was a PERFECT spot, and walking distance to downtown, along with various bars/restaurants. This side of town seems to be older, more relaxed, while everything we had seen earlier in the weekend (off of the "main drag" Belleville Rd.) was more rushed, with plenty of chain restaurants that we wanted to avoid. The slow, relaxed walk along the water's edge of just a small portion of this wonderful town park did wonders to repair our (my) frazzled Air Show nerves, and to give us more of a real taste of this lovely area. Well kept-up, clean, nice walkways, benches and picnic tables, and a sunset that just can't be beat!! Hope to return again one day SOON!!!

One of the posts said that this is because of the amount of geese that have been frequenting the lake this year or because of runoff from rain. We went once before we knew about the e coli issues and actually had a great time. The beach (we thought) appeared clean and the water was the perfect cool temperature on a hot summer day. The swimming area went deep enough that we could float away from the littles on the shoreline. There were two life guards on duty. They have really amazing facilities where a get together was being held under the pavilion. They have a snack station, but we brought our own chips and sodas. They also have a splash pad with water slides. This area was closed when we went, and you have to pay a little more to access this area. They also have some cool trails and a frisbee golf course. You can bring dogs, but not to the designated swimming area. I hope they figure out the e coli issues because we would love to go back.

It's a beautiful place to walk and get closer to nature, and convenient because it is right in town. It could use some upkeep from the city or county. Some signs and the bike park are showing their age and not looking as maintained as they could be. Still a great place to swing by.

The South Branch of the River Raisin meanders through the park year round. Birds are singing and small wild animals getting a drink of water. During the fall, the leaves turn yellow, orange and red. It's our favorite park in Adrian. The park is a part of the Kiwanis hiking trail that starts at the southern part of Adrian to the town of Tecumseh, MI, about 10 miles away. The part is well maintained. During the winter time, it is covered with several inches of snow. The parking lot is behind the Lenawee County Jail, manned by the Lenawee County Sheriff.

A bridge provides access to a little island with a beach, which also has nearby swings and picnic tables. A nice large shelter with more tables and a great playground with slides, swings, climbing structures, and towers is located near clean restroom facilities. We saw a number of boats out enjoying the water and folks doing some fishing. Camping sites are available, as is a dog beach.

The best showers and restrooms of any place we have visited on our x country 6 week camping trip . Also a shout out to "Freddy's bar and grill" ...we were so hungry after a 13 hour drive to get here. What a sweet lady who owns the place and friendly staff. Made us feel right at home . Great prices and atmosphere. We cannot wait to come back and stay for a few extra days next year.

My husband and I brought our pups here for a little outdoor time during social distancing and despite it being a gorgeous Saturday early-evening we didn't run into any one else on any of the trails we explored. So it's a really great spot to enjoy some outdoor adventures without worrying about getting too close to other people. Beautifully maintained, tons of parking and pup friendly! Just remember bug spray if you get into the woods/near the river. I forgot and got eaten up quite a bit!

Michigan's Washtenaw County has created a 35-mile "Border-to-Border" paved bicycle trail that winds from Dexter through Tree Town (Ann Arbor) and on to Yipsilanti. Much of the trail is off-road and provides plenty of welcomed shade and river views on a hot summer day. Today, my wife and I chose to ride 10 miles of the B2B Trail in the Dexter area that winds through the Hudson Mills Metropark. Given the pandemic, we saw plenty of courteous walkers, joggers and bikers sharing the 10-foot wide trail which enabled effective social distancing. The Hudson Mills Metropark section of the trail in Dexter is a true gem that offers fresh air, sunshine and the opportunity to get some welcomed exercise. We look forward to the time when we can once again stop into the Riverview Restaurant after our bike ride and enjoy a breakfast or lunch. Until then, we're staying safe in Dexter. 5 stars!
