We drove for a few minutes in country time (20 minutes or so in the rest of the worlds time)... and we ended up at the most incredible cider house and orchard. Because we are fast approaching Halloween, the orchard was littered with pumpkins and halloween paraphernalia. Upon entering into the store, you are overwhelmed with fabulous candles, jams and kitschy country decorations. The second floor is what intrigued me.... Cider, Apple wine, (cysers) and delicious apple ice wine. The winemaker / cider maker here did a fabulous job of making a flavourful, dry fruit wine. And the price is great. If you can find the place, I recommend going there for a sunday drive. you will not be disappointed.

Mind you I am a manager in the restaurant industry.. I understand it gets busy.... VERY busy at times. We forget and make mistakes at times... My bartender MATT was so caught up serving his regulars that he forgot I existed... I stayed patient.... Very patient..... so much so that the new customers being served were telling him that I had been there before they were.... I have been to wrigleys center before.. but when I'm first at the rail, and my sister, father, cousin, friend, girlfriend, etc.. gets served before me...(WHEN I HAVE BEEN SITTING THERE BEFORE ANY OF THEM) it's upsetting to most... I speak up to MATT... and say, " Sir, I've been waiting 25 minutes plus.. what's going on?,". And in response he replies, " you act like everybody here hasn't been waiting the same amount of time..,". And he walks away.. I don't want to seem needy or conceited. But rotation is ROTATION! You have a SECTION of the BAR you're supposed to SERVE. I watched this bartender serve my aunt, because she called his name a million times, I watched him serve his friends from outside of work... I watched him WALK PAST ME to serve another woman who walked up 15 minutes after me.... Even she was questionable about why he did something like that... he says in response, "OH!....I am getting them next!". HE NEVER DID..... Listen people , .....MATT from Wrigleys ------ Is one of the most irresponsible//arrogant bartenders I have ever met.... It took my cousin (who is a local to the bar) to get my drink immediately.... And even then, he did not get my drink right... I asked for a whiskey//soda water.... PLEASE TELL ME WHY HE SERVED ME AH WHISKEY REDBULL!!?!!!?? I would totally understand if he had OTHER CUSTOMERS at this point... but I was one three people at the rail that had not been served at this point.... REGARDLESS!!!! This type of work ethic is disappointing... I am not looking for perfection, I AM NOT looking for quickness, SHIT, NOBODY IS PERFECT..... EVERY BODY SCREWS UP... BUTTTTT... The main walking path is probably around 1/3 of a mile, so a quick walk; but there are a few trails that branch off, leading to a children's play area, courts, or nearby municipal buildings. There are many benches available to sit and enjoy the scenery, or watch the ducks; the lake has multiple fountains, and 3 different docks to enjoy. A stunning park for photo opportunities as well, and they hold a lot of community events, which is a big plus in my book. Definitely recommend checking it out if you get the chance.

The Frontenac, Petite Pearl, Marquette were my favorites by far. But my five stars isn't for the wine, it's for the sheer joy this place brings me. Absolutely beautiful campus with sheep and goats and a big white furball of a dog who looks so adorable but is trained to kill any possible threat to his wards. There was plenty of room for everyone. The main indoor space holds several tables and is equipped with a kitchen and restrooms. We also used a smaller barn for serving guests and used the huge lawn for vendor and beverage tents. There was also plenty of room on the grounds for a variety of food trucks and display cars for a car show. A full band was set up in an area large enough for a nice bandstand. I spoke with a woman who volunteers regularly at the venue. She had nothing but nice things to say about the management. Every inch of the grounds was clean and well-maintained. I'd definitely recommend it for events and special occasions.

We had an issue with the TV during our stay, but the staff responded quickly and were polite, friendly, and helpful in resolving it. We also ate at the hotel restaurant. The service was excellent, and the staff there were attentive and welcoming. While the food was just average, the great service made for an enjoyable meal. Unfortunately, our experience at checkout was very different. Due to unexpected circumstances, we needed to leave one day early. Before speaking with the front desk, I reviewed the hotel's reservation policy and understood that an early departure fee could apply, which we were prepared to pay. However, the hotel manager did not take the time to listen to our request or review the reservation policy with us. Instead, she seemed focused on her phone and came across as unapproachable and uninterested in helping. We weren't expecting the fee to be waived--we simply hoped for a conversation and a willingness to look into our options. The front-line staff provided excellent customer service throughout our stay, but the interaction with the manager did not reflect that same level of professionalism or hospitality. With more attentive management, this would have been a much better overall experience.
