I took my truck in for an oil change. While I was driving it it smelled like burning oil. The next time I needed an oil change I took it to Valvoline and they noticed when they opened the hood that the cap and rag were left on top of the motor. The Ford dealership never put the cap on so oil spilled all over the engine. Lucky I didn't totally run out of oil and blow the engine. When I took it back to Keowee ford they said that this could not have happened. I showed them a picture of how they left it and after complaining they did an oil change for free. read more

I took my 2018 Ford Focus in to get oil change, tire rotation and fix tire that had slow leak. They kept it all day from 8am to 5:30 pm without a phone call. They did not do any of services requested and said nothing was wrong with tire. Said it was not time for oil change. A week later I got email saying I was overdue on oil change and tire rotation. The tire had a screw in it. So now I don't have to put air in it every day. They don't deserve one star. I am very disappointed they no longer want my business. Also when I purchased the car I had a dispute and was called by "Rodney" and told I would get a $100 Visa card for my trouble. It never came. I have never seen such a sorry place. This service department is terrible! They had my motorhome for a month. They kept misdiagnosing the problem. They kept throwing parts at it hoping to fix it. I told them I wouldn't pay for any of it any of it. And I didn't. Finally, when I got it back, I went to get gas and found my fuel door broken with greasy hand prints on it. I bought it from because I recently moved to the area and they looked up the diagnostic and said they knew what the problem was right away I could bring it in and it might take them a couple days to fix it but they saw that the diagnosis shows what the problem is. Service department has very bad communication skills. They need training on how to do what they say they will. I have had my 2021 truck up there for my camera faulting. Told they would call me when the camera comes in. This was a Tuesday. I called that Friday. I was told they would call me. Not call. I then called the following Monday. Again no call. I went up there that Tuesday one week later. The camera was in. Waited for the repair. This doesn't solve the issue. Not there fault. Went back Friday for service and dropped the truck off. Told them I needed it for a trip around 1 pm. I rented a truck to go on my trip. Finally got a phone call at 5:30 pm. They are talking with fords engineering team to solve the issue. Took my 6 month old F150 into to service for a leaky sunroof. Left it there all day. Next time it rained same leak. They told me they couldn't find anything wrong. Shout out to Ashley in the service department! Let me start off by saying how I impressed I was with the speed of how fast she got back to me after dropping my car off this morning. The last three places I've taken my car, I would have to call late in the afternoon just to find out that it had not even been looked at yet. I am appalled but this dealership and their staff. A WW2 vet put his trust in them and they betrayed him. He traded in his truck to purchase a new car. He decided he did not want the new car after having some difficulties driving it so within a week they were notified about the damages made to the new car and told that he will pay to get them fixed, return them the car plus pay an extra $3500 to get his truck back. They agreed to this deal and then turned their back the next day and sold it out from under him. This is a terrible way to treat an old man who not only fought in the war but also retired from the Ford motor company! Absolutely deplorable. read more

All calls went to voice mail for the "internet sales representative" and I never got a call back. We drove from Greer SC to see a used truck that they had for 5 months. It was filthy. There was mud caked under the the truck, the interior was full of red dust. They knew we were coming and didn't even bother to clean it up..It was a wasted trip. The sales manager told us that CarMax and Car Gurus had them locked in on the price. Worst Vehicle buying experience ever. During the negotiations we agreed on a price which included the truck, boxlink, and 2 keys. Time was needed to get the keys so after a couple of days I was told there was no room in the deal to provide the keys and I could buy them at there cost (something like $300). I told the salesman that was unacceptable and I wrote an email to the 3 leaders identified on the website. I then received a call from the salesman saying they would get me the keys after I gave them an excellent rating. After more confrontation I got the keys. After spending an hour test driving and talking to salesman, I was informed the internet quoted price did not apply to me but they could get "close" within a few thousand dollars and I should have read the "fine print" located at the bottom of the page. My particular situation was a bit different than most. I had two terrible experiences with the service department. I finally was able to talk with the General Manager, Stacey Cowan. Once I explained my situation to him and that I was asking for his help, he did everything possible to correct my issues and help me get into a new car. He more than delivered. Not only was he able to give me more as a trade-in than any other dealers, he also was able to put me into a brand new Explorer with almost everything I wanted...and lots I didn't think I wanted while staying within my monthly payment. BAIT AND SWITCH! Price never stops changing .... BEWARE! I started my search looking online. A vehicle they had in stock seemed to be a good price with over a $9,000 discount. I called to confirm the pricing and Steven their internet sale manager said that was the price only if I qualified for all the incentives with Ford such as Military, Student, First responder, ect. Problem with that is that Ford will only let you use one of those rebates. Lake Keowee Ford knowingly stacks all those rebates knowing that you can not use them all together. That first the first problem. The price even without being able to use any of those rebates was still fair so I continued to work out a deal with them. I had them send me an exact quote. I received that but every time I spoke to them their figures would change. Doc fee went from $225 to $399 , Tax went from $4000 to $4600 nothing on my paperwork mailed to me to sign matched. I called and talked to Rodney their arrogant manager that just kept stating "This is not my first rodeo" I had plans to fly 600 miles to get this $70000 vehicle and was to sign papers that did not match my quote and mentioned nothing on the order of the fees that were supposed to go to my state for licensing and registration. Just inflated numbers. Oh yes , I also was to sign a "NO DISPUTE" form stating I could not take them to court. Really ? They want you to sign false numbered paperwork and not be able to argue it if something does not happen the way it should. Trust me , he says, things will go to the right places. The bottom number is the same, that's all that matters, Rodney says. WELL NOT FOR THIS GUY. There is no way I would ever buy from this shady bunch. Pricing brake shoes for the rear of a 2000 Ranger, I discovered I did not know what the diameter of the drums was. Was told I needed to call a dealer and their parts dept would be able to tell me with the VIN. Placed the call, asked for parts with the friendly front desk person, and was told the parts lady was on another call. I was asked if I would like to hold. "Sure, be glad to" was my response. After being on hold for roughly 2 mins, I was sent to parts voice mail... If I had wanted to leave a message, I would have asked to do so at the beginning. One of the worst experiences I have had with any business in my lifetime! Their service department deliberately over-schedules appointments and the work takes several days longer - it does not matter if it is a warranty or safety item or recall. My car should have been completed in 3-4 days, but this dealership strung me along basically holding my vehicle while it sat on the lot. Rude manager who doesn't listen and doesn't care. When I asked to speak to the owner(s). I was told "That's not going to happen!" Never once called me to give me an update and the overall time it took to complete my car was one month. Had to complain to the BBB to get my car back. When my car was finished, they never called me and they do not answer the phone most of the time. They answered my BBB complaint with one sentence "Car was done yesterday!!!!!". Said they would mail me the paperwork, but never did. Drive the extra distance to Anderson Ford. Bought a truck from them in June 2017 and it has been a nightmare ever since. I'm pretty sure they lied about inspecting the vehicle because it's been close to a lemon. I and my ex-husband have called this dealership multiple times about the truck issues and they "agreed" to fix them. Took the vehicle up there twice and waited 4.5 hrs each time, only to be told that they never had the parts in the first place. November 16 2018 I went into Lake Keowee Ford in Seneca to get a synthetic full service oil change. One day after my oil change I got an air pressure sensor warning light. I headed to Discount Tire and had my pressure tested, all 4 tires were low. The following day I went to my Subaru dealer to get a battery replaced. The Subaru dealer discovered an over filled crankcase by 3/4 of a quart and the engine belly pan was full of oil. The Subaru dealer did a complete oil change, filter, topped off all my fluids which were not completed by my trusted Ford Dealer. Subaru removed the engine belly pan (30 plastic push pins and 4 bolts. They cleaned the belly pan, reinstalled and washed the complete engine bay at no Charge. I returned to the Lake Keowee Ford dealer to inform them of my problem and they indignantly refunded my money with no apology for my trouble or time. I was also informed by the Service manager that I would not receive a refund if I posted a poor review. The Ford company is in financial turmoil at this time. You would think there would be more effort from Lake Keowee Ford to support Ford motor. You be the judge ! read more
