Locally, I found an RV restoration company to completely do everything that I wanted to have done to upgrade it. Went as far as agreeing to a quarter three 2024 time slot. The upgrades were going to come in at about 20K. HOWEVER, when it came time to get at get a quote sheet detailing pricing, it just never happened. Made calls, online messages and phone switchboard requests. Folks, you have to have this stuff in document form. For your own safety. So, what are they up to. Who knows. To clarify, I asked earlier this week for a one word text message of YES or NO be sent to me. Are you doing the requested quote or not. No answers on anything. If the quote had come in OK, I was ready to accept and make payment. This business does not seem to understand the concept of 'managing people's expecations'.

They are obviously using the advertised low price to get buyers in the door then trying to sell them other vehicles. Stay away from any business that is so deceitful!

Cruise America operates with some predatory business practices. There's a bunch of hidden fees, and the pricing is so confusing, there's no way to get an accurate estimate prior to the trip. They didn't tell me my RV was winterized & would have no water or toilet until I picked it up. I was furious, and the guy renting it out couldn't care less. Marginal equipment, at best. They have bottom of the barrel RVs, that are not purpose built, but instead hack jobs from inferior platforms. They do not preform well, have terrible fuel economy, are loud, and do not brake well. The first day, we spent $500 in fuel, and we only drove 8 hours. It registered about 5 or 6 miles per gallon. This was my second time using Cruise America. The first trip was definitely better. This trip has broke ties with me and CA. I'll never rent from them again.

We chose the large 30-ft Cruise America RV through A-1 Enterprises in Omaha. The owner (Gordon) is incredibly friendly, the terms of the rental agreement are fair and reasonable, and the RV itself was clean when we picked it up. There were a couple minor cosmetic flaws with the RV, but overall everything was in good working order. Our trip was a lot of fun, and we returned the RV in the same clean condition it was in before. If we do another family road trip in the future, my first call will be to A-1 Enterprises in Omaha to talk to Gordon about renting a Cruise America RV!
