The course looks like it was layed out as the earth formed and somebody had the good sense to mow it, drop in some cups and build a clubhouse. Wild Horse is a seriously amazing course, not pretentious, just an all-around great golf experience. Do yourself a favor and figure out how to get there. It's the deal of the century.

But, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and I waited a few days, nothing heard back. I called them back, and politely asked them again if they have gotten to it. they said they'd get it taken care of, great! So I waited a few more days, nothing heard back. Now, I'm getting irritated and frustrated, today, I call back, and the guy says the person who can take care of this isn't in today, I mean seriously, is it really that difficult to ship it back? I'm offering to pay for it. Now. I'm telling him how frustrated I am because this isn't getting done like they say they would, and he gets all upset bc he can't take an ounce of frustration from anyone, then hangs up, after telling me "maybe you should look after your stuff better" Guys, grow the f up, as if none of you have ever misplaced anything and needed someone's help, what're we, 5 years old and completely self unaware? It takes 5 minutes, 5 f'in minutes to get this done! This goes to show how customer oriented they are, which, they obviously aren't. I were them, I'd have it done within a day, or delegate it to someone else bc this is such an easy task; I shouldn't need to wait over a week for them to even start the shipping process. Tucked away in the scenic serenity of Mullen, Nebraska, this resort offered everything we could have hoped for and more. We stayed for 4 days and 3 nights in a beautifully appointed home with 4 king beds and 4 bathrooms--plenty of space for everyone to spread out and relax in comfort and privacy. My family are avid golfers, often playing upwards of 30 holes a day, and they couldn't get enough of the immaculate courses. As someone who doesn't golf, I wasn't sure how much I'd enjoy this trip, but I was pleasantly surprised. I'd ride along for the first 9 holes or so in the morning, soaking in the breathtaking views and peaceful atmosphere, then head back to the clubhouse to unwind by the pool. The pool area was pristine and inviting, with ample chairs and fresh towels always available. Kelsie, one of the standout clubhouse servers, made my time there even more enjoyable. She regularly checked in on me, bringing food and drinks with a warm smile and genuine hospitality that made me feel truly cared for. Dining at Dismal was a highlight in itself. Each night we were looked after by an amazing team--Vyktorya, Sabrina, and Kelsie--who not only provided exceptional service but also took the time to learn about us and where we were from. Their knowledge of the food and drink menu was impressive, and their personal recommendations never missed the mark. They even stepped outside with us during sunset to help capture beautiful family photos with the stunning backdrop--something they did gladly and without hesitation. And then there was "Chef"--the heart behind the incredible meals we enjoyed. Though we never caught his real name, his presence was unforgettable. He made a point to visit our table every evening, checking in personally to hear our thoughts on dinner. His passion for his craft came through in every dish, from the perfectly cooked steaks to the decadent cheesecake. It's rare to find that level of connection between a chef and guests, and it made our dining experiences feel all the more special. Sarah, the Food and Beverage lead, also left a lasting impression. Her enthusiasm and warmth made us feel right at home. She went above and beyond, even sharing recipes for the signature drinks we loved so much so we could try recreating them at home. Each night she spent time at our table, making sure we had everything we needed--and often more. Another stand out staff member was the General Manager, John. He came by to check on us every night at dinner and wanted our honest feedback from the day of the course. He is always looking for great ways to improve the Club. As a non-golfer, I still found plenty to enjoy, whether it was relaxing in a rocking chair on the clubhouse porch, soaking up the views, or hopping in a "room cart" to meet up with my family on the course or at Jack's Shack for lunch. The entire property is a haven of hospitality, peace, and natural beauty. And speaking of food--Dismal River's culinary offerings are on another level. Every bite feels intentional and crafted with care, from the milkshakes at Jack's Shack to the flavorful chicken Caesar wraps at Buffalo Bills, to that flawless ribeye and rich cheesecake at dinner. The consistency and quality across the board set Dismal apart from any other golf resort we've visited. Traveling from Chicago to Denver to North Platte and then driving to Mullen was a journey--but absolutely worth every mile. This trip brought our family closer together, gave us lasting memories, and left us already counting down the days until we return next year. The clubhouse is perfect. The patio and fire pit are divine as it looks out over a big valley. The clubhouse has big leather furniture and a magnificent Pendleton Indian carpet. We had a big chunk of prime rib along with salad and asparagus. Please understand that all the food must be brought in from North Platte which is 100 miles away. My only complaint is about the beer and wine selection. I choose a blend wine I didn't know. My mistake but I drank it out at the fire pit so that made up for it.

Agree that the PREVIOUS owner did not treat his customers very good at all but the new owners are trying very hard to work with everyone no matter what level of play you are at. I told him I am currently using the Taylormade Burner Draw and his comment was, "that's the worst driver ever made." Well thanks, I do okay with it. He then asks what my handicap is, and I respond that I've never paid the money to get one but I usually shoot +3 on 9 holes. I'm not great but not terrible. His next comment was "you've obviously never had a club fitted for you." and he's right, I would like to have fitted clubs but for this hobby, I make due with what I have. He begrudgingly lets me swing a used Taylormade RBZ driver and made it clear that if "you hit the simulator then you bought the club." Wow, thanks again for the confidence. I hit a few balls and really liked the club, but I'll be damned if I'm going to buy it from this asshole. As I said thanks for his SO VALUABLE time as I walked out, he just threw back a "yeah." I found the same club NEW and about $70 cheaper online and bought it that night. I wish I could remember this guy's name, because I'm sure not all of the Golf USA employees are this bad, but my advice is to stay away from this one.

The greens which are huge were in perfect shape. It takes time to learn the design philosophy here. Lots of ravines and scrub you need to carry on your drives but wide fairways beyond it. Some holes have blind shots because of the rolling terrain but not penal at all. The clubhouse staff was wonderful. A quick lunch at the turn was available and the pace of play was good. I would play here again and again
