DO NOT WAIST YOUR MONEY! My pedicure polish was lumpy and started peeling within hours. She used, used tools, files and pumus stones for my pedicure. Honestly, I'd be surprised if I dont get a fungal infection. Had a fill done with gel polish. Acrylic was thick and uneven and after, I had Acrylic and polish all over my fingers. She got loud,argued and uses the language barrier when I addressed needing my nails cut down, uneven, burning from filing and the lumpy polish. The quality and service was absolutely horrible. I went today to get a pedicure. I took my 6 year old granddaughter. She wanted to get her toes and fingers painted. She wanted multiple colors and kitties painted on some of her nails. They did a great job, even let her soak her feet in the pedicure chair so she could be like me. Basic pedicure and her nails only cost 60.00. Great prices. Clean. This will be my go to place when at the lake. read more

Worst nails I've even had in 15 years. I am not the type to complain I'm very patient and understanding but this is the worst experience I've ever had. I have nail glue all over my hands and fingers. She scraped my thumb finger. I had to jerk my hand away multiple times due to her being very rough on my fingers. I have nail polish all under my nails and imbedded inbetween the nail and skin. my nails fell off in 30 minutes after they got done. These nails were gross and disgusting. She didn't even take care of my nails the right way. she cut my hand and finger in total of three times. there were the worst nails I've ever gotten in the 30 years of my life. she glued the acrylic nail all the way down to my cuticle when it didn't even belong there. The overall salon and vibe was a zero out of 10. It was so gross in there and I swear to God when I was sitting down in that chair for two hours, I saw three cockroaches crawl over my feet. this place and quality is terrible. This place was alright. I had looked all over the ozarks for a nail place and no one really had outstanding reviews. This place just happened to have an opening to get me in. I got gel on my toes and dip on my nails. Not too happy about either.... They didn't clean up any of the edges on my toes :/ and they didn't do the dip how you're supposed to. She did it like you would with acrylics. So it turned out streaky and really patchy. Also did not clean up the sides of my nails or the rest of my hands after having me soak off the last dip I had on. If I would have been the one paying for my nails I would definitely be way more upset.. Side note. The workers were also super sweet. I went here to get a pedi and usually they give you options to upgrade your pedi, get dead skin scrapped off, massage, etc. Here they gave us no option they just started going. All I was able to get done was my feet soaked, cuticles trimmed, and toes painted. Anddd after that they started working on other people and left me and my bf to sit there when I should have been directed to pay or maybe DRY my toes under the fan station they have here? So I am here on vacation. I see many people from different places give negative comments. I wonder how many of them could please everyone. I found the service wonderful and prompt. The lady who did my nails was so thorough. I appreciated her talking was a welcome addition to the experience. Most places talk negatively about their customers in their language. This salon really cares about its clients. For all the naysayers, maybe you need to go to some self esteem classes. We all know why people talk badly about others. Mindy and Kim do a great job. I have noticed that the majority of the bad reviews are from out-of-towners. So, suffice to say, they take care of their regulars first, as we are the bread and butter. They are the only two in the shop and they work tirelessly, 7 days a week. I have taken many vacations over the years and I always make sure to have a fresh set of nails before I leave so I don't have to go somewhere else during the trip. This place us terrible and the one lady that runs it is extremely rude. After calling and being told to come in anytime, my girlfriend and I went in for a fill. We waited for more than a half hour while she continued to tell people calling to come in right away, she told us that due to a break, a new set was needed as the nails were too old. I took my daughter in on Sunday to get acrylics for her birthday while I decided to just get a pedicure. The staff was extremely rude and unprofessional. The woman applying my daughter's acrylics not only berated her for biting her nails (she has OCD and cannot help it), but shamed my daughter, loudly to multiple other clients as well as trash-talking my daughter to her friend that she talked on the phone to the entire time we were there. At first, I really liked my pedicure despite it being a little painful as she ripped chunks of my toenails out, but now, on Tuesday (just 2 days later) several of my toes are still sore and beginning to become infected (red, tender, and swollen). I walked into lake nails today, after hearing many positive reviews from locals & asked for a pedicure. I didn't wait super long and requested a deluxe pedicure. This place is cheap& the employees have some disgusting habits. My first issue was the woman who gave me a pedicure, digging into my toes to the point of bleeding after I repeatedly said " ow that's too hard" or " ow that's too deep." Couldn't be bothered to pay attention to anything she was doing because the World Cup was on. I understand this job is probably boring but if I'm paying you for a service, maybe pay attention to what you're doing? This continued during the half assed massage& scrub& while she was grating the dead skin off the bottom of my feet, while she was watching the soccer game, she knicked the bottom of my heel and goes " oops." Didn't ask if I was okay, or cared what I was bleeding, nothing. She then pushes my feet back into the water, which burns like hell, and throws the dirty scrub sponge& the foot grater ( I don't know what it's called, apologies) INTO THE WATER, dead skin& all. Was majorly confused by my disgusted look& proceeds to wash my calves with the disgusting water. Icing on the cake was when she shoved my feet in EXTREMELY hot paraffin wax, that was in Walmart fruit sacks. Couldn't even shell out the $7 for a box of plastic wax bags. Doesn't pay attention to the rest of the manicure, throwing some polish on my toes& basically shooing me out the door after I paid, didn't even let them dry. A waste of $35 & two hours of my time. I know the wait can be long and Mindy doesn't take appointments I retired to the lake from Chicago , and Mindy is the only nail person here who knows how to do gel nails using different colored gel powder. She takes her time and does not rush the customer once you are in her chair Mindy will tell you how long the wait is and if you are in a hurry then get up and go somewhere else. They did a great job in painting my nails, but it was the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I've never been one to leave a review for any business, but after today, I decided I decided I needed to. I scheduled an appointment for several people days in advance. We arrived on time for our appointment. However, they had had a few walk in's come in before us, so we were made to wait for 2 1/2 hours before we were seen to. There was no apology for our wait. I'm not usually the type to leave reviews but after my recent visit I'm pretty frustrated. I went in for a regular pedicure. The staff were very nice and thorough it seemed. I dried my toes for about 20 minutes and I left happy! I wore flip flops for the next hour and a half until I got home. I sat in my bed and my toes brushed against my sheets, instantly shifting and smearing some of the polish. I had work in 30 minutes where I have to wear tennis shoes so I went back in right before work and asked for an appointment in a few days to retouch them up. The older woman claimed that I shouldn't have worn tennis shoes, to which I told her I hadn't, so she then said I should've gotten gel. I've never had an issue with regular polish. She proceeded to refuse to make a new appointment and pulled me over to a chair. I told her I had work in 30 minutes and a touch up wouldn't dry in time. She ignored that and dabbed at the smudges with new paint, making them nowhere near smooth. I told her again that I had work in 30 minutes and just wanted to make an appointment to fix them when I didn't have work. She rolled her eyes, flipped her hand at me, and went back to a different customer and never said a word to me again. I left. I only wanted a touch up when I didn't have work. I've never had an experience like this at a salon and am very disappinted with how I was treated, especially when I gave her nothing but respect and a simple request. read more
