I think you need to be very specific with what you want exactly, I'm also very picky so me not liking my nails is on me i think. However, there was an issue with scheduling. I had an appointment, and a person who was there before me come to find out had an appointment 40 minutes before mine to be exact, was put on the back burner. I don't exactly know what's going on with their scheduling issue but it is kind of unprofessional and sucks. On July 5th 2022 myself and a dear friend of mine took our 3 granddaughters to W Nails for a pedicure. We arrived at 11:45am and were told they could take us at 12:30pm. They told us to sign in (we were walk-ins) and come back at 1230 So we walked down to Marshalls and came back at 12:20 to be told we missed our turn. There were two other ladies waiting at this time that were also walk-ins. So we patiently waited and more ladies kept coming in and they were all taken back and started their pedicures. The very rude worker told us 15 more minutes for our 3 granddaughter. We were there a total of one hour and finally left without our granddaughters getting their pedicures! What a waste of our time! Worst pedicure I ever got the guy was so rough it was like he was filing my skin and not my nails very painful kept pulling my foot away, picked a light color. He gave me two coats. When I got out in the sunlight, you could see every paint stroke. It was terrible. I do not recommend this place. I've tried it a few times and each time they get worse it's like they don't care. Good nails bad quality I've had them for a week and my nail just broke from flipping a page in my work notebook.

I was told it would be an hour wait so I waited the hour and then they sat me in the pedicure chair only to wait another hour. I had to leave at a certain time so I waited two hours and then had to leave because I was told it was still going to be another 10 minutes before someone could even get to me. Very disappointed with the owners lack of professionalism and courtesy on Saturday. My daughter was spoken to so rudely by a staff member and the owner stated it's due to the staff members limited ability to speak English. We walked in expecting a professional nail establishment. My daughter went to pick out a nail color as I waited in the chair, the nail tech "Lee" yelled at her 3 times "sit down." We were baffled, not a hello, a warm smile, nothing just "sit down." The other customers were also shocked. We had no clue that they bring you the nail color display. Not a big deal just tell us, but never tell an adult and paying customer "sit down.." We watched the same nail tech interact kindly with others, and as we expressed kindness and professionalism is universal. Instead of the owner giving any type of empathy he rolled his eyes and picked at his ear. He stated, "well you should be more understanding if people are coming from another country, if you want to write a bad review then do it." Clearly the owner has missed the importance of what we were politely and tactfully sharing as our experience. We spent $200 and traveled from out of town. We believe in supporting small businesses, but the owner displayed a sense of arrogance and complete disregard for us as he walked away. We weren't trying to get anything for free or be disrespectful in our constructive feedback. Appropriate communication and kindness goes a long way, and the owner lacks it. I would truly hate to assume that the owner had other biases that impacted his interaction with us today, but there was a clear difference in how we were treated in comparison to other customers. This entire experience truly saddened me and I will never ever support the W Nails establishment again. I was highly offended for the owner to make this about a lack of our cultural understanding and competence. He knew nothing about my background, and besides that he's running a business that "should" be customer centered. Also, I had to ask my nail tech repeatedly to stop being so rough, we were there for relaxation not pain. The reviews on google are very similar to what I have expressed online. To the owner, humble yourself you need customers to survive no matter what color they are, or what you personally believe they are worth. The recent pandemic should have taught you something. The women who do pedicures are absolutely the sweetest. However, this review is for acrylics and the owner. We were not greeted nicely at all by the owner. He was also the one I had the appointment with but I was sent with someone else. I've never had a worse experience at a nail salon until this one. I cried in the parking lot after my nails were done. THEY WERE HIDEOUS. The shape was thick and short, the ombre was not blended, and the top was lumpy. If you want your nails done at the lake, go to Linda nails. Friendly and great atmosphere, super bright and inviting. Got me in right away (with my appointment) This place is BY FAR the best nail salon at the lake. It's clean and smells amazing. They use huge plastic covers for the pedi bowls to ensure ultimate safety. I can tell that the lady that did my pedicure really cared/tried to get all the yuck off (I run a lot and work out in converse so they are HORRIBLE) I also love that you can book online and select the person that does it. I ask them about it and they say they have no proof of my appointment. I have confirmed email and it is on my schedule in my phone. I went here twice The first time I didn't have an appt- I waited 2 hours. When I went the second time I made an appt-I waited 45 minutes. I was taken by a guy named "Andy". I needed a gel refill mani and pedi. The pedicure was fine. However, when we began the nail appt, he took off my old gel nails and asked if I wanted my nails trimmed. I said yes. With the help of the gel I was able to grow my nails out pretty long for a wedding. He trimmed my pinky and ring finger on my right hand by cutting my nails all the way down. I'm not kidding when I say "all-the-way-down"!! WhenI turn my hand over- I can see no nails). He got to my middle finger before I realized what was happening. At this point it was like-Oh well, the damage is done. So he continued on the other side. For some reason he kept my thumb nails long? Both my thumbs and index fingers are rounded- the other 6 are square. Not one nail from the right hand matches the left. It was like he didn't know what he was doing. To top it all off- he cut me when he was trimming my cuticles. Not a little cut....dripping blood. Watching for an infection now as that is usually how it starts. Somehow polish and gel ended up on the back of one of my finger that he tried to peel off at the end. Not sure how he managed that. So now, my husband loving jokes about me having the nails of a twelve year old girl. Just waiting for my nails to grow out to put the whole incident behind me. I'll never go back. Terribly rude! This was my first time there. I had made an appointment online. When you come in the door there's no reception, all they do is look up at you like your interrupting them. I wanted to look at dip colors but they just ignored me. Finally they placed me with Kathy and I had made the online appointment with Andy. Kathy acted put out like she didn't want to be there. Never really spoke to me just coughed in my face the whole time. She had a mask on but it was very rude. When I turned my head away from her she said "if you don't like it put a mask on". I asked if she was vaccinated and she said no. Then she asked me if I was and I said yes and she said "so what's your problem." Tracy is amazing. She took her time and put her heart and soul into my nails. I'm very impressed, especially coming from Chicago where luxury isnt hard to find. Terrible experience with my full set! I ask for a long almond shape nail. My nail tech not only cut me and didn't even apologize, he messed up on my nails repeatedly until they were no longer the shape or length I wanted. They look so short, stubby, and crooked! I was so upset since I had just spent three hours of my day and not to mention my money. I was tired and just wanted to go home as I could see they weren't getting any better the more he worked on them. So, I finally told him it was fine feeling embarrassed to admit I didn't like it and would soon go somewhere to have them done again. So I kindly asked the lady at the front desk what she did for customers that were not happy with their services. I assured her my toes were fine, but I had no more time for my nails and was not given what I asked for. She told me to go show the owner (or what I'm assuming was the person in charge) and all he said was okay fine you can take five dollars off her bill!!!! Excuse me!?!? Five dollars that's literally nothing. I should not have to pay for something I feel absolutely embarrassed to show in public. Terrible experience. I went in for a full set and sat down with lily, she started my nails and only got to the gluing on part of the nails and GOT UP AND LEFT!!! I sat there for another 30 minutes before andy started on my nails and cut my fingers continuously! He cut my fingers to the point blood was dripping on the table and on his hands! He squeezed them to the point my fingers were purple! Then told me it would only be $40 and when I came up to pay he said it would be $55. I do not recommend. I called the day before for appts for two adults and two princess mani-pedis. The owner said they were booked but to come in in the early afternoon and he would work us in. We arrived around 1:30 and he told us about an hour wait. We said ok. After about 30 minutes we were all directed to the pedicure stations so I thought this will be better than predicted. After another 30-45 minutes, water was run and we were directed to submerge our feet. After an hour of soaking our feet (so now we're over the 2 hour point), our services were started but one by one. Our girls were our priority so we asked they go first. Finally 3.5 hours after we walked in the door we were done and due to the long delays, all I got was a polish change on my toes! Looking back, clearly we got strung along (once you're in the pedicure chair/once the water's run/you're soaking, it's hard to leave because you think your turn is coming soon - NOT SO at this place). During the hours I was there, I talked to several other patrons who had appointments and all said even though you can make appointments, it doesn't mean a thing. We will not be returning. read more
