STAY AWAY. Worst Gyn experience I've had over the course of FIVE months because they don't care and…read moreare incompetent. Was on antibiotics for nearly 4 months and did not improve, was in pain and exhausted my sick leave. Finally got imaging done and never heard back from doc after many follow up calls. Called them and they said they "didn't have a copy of results" even though I had received them a week prior. Kept calling and 3 weeks later a random person said "looks good" and I said I wanted the doctor to interpret it because I'm still not okay. She said well "she's busy can she leave you a voicemail?" Are you kidding me?! Never received a call or voicemail. Incompetent, no follow-up. I feel silly for not having moved to a different doc sooner, but I wanted the consistency since she did my surgery. Do not compromise your health at this place.

I sat in the lobby for maybe ten minutes when I was asked by the same lady to wait in my car because there was a patient that wanted to sit in the lobby for her appointment. I obliged because of Covid restrictions I imagined the office had. When I returned for my appointment, the lobby had two people waiting! I was very annoyed but sat and waited my turn. Then the receptionist remembers last minute that I did have some paperwork to fill up! When I left it took the office two weeks to find if my insurance covered my procedure! I don't plan to return. The receptionist is not just rude, she's also lazy and incompetent.

My experience happened at Lake Oswego GYN a few years ago. I was recommended to Dr. Zaander by a…read morefriend who was a patient. I found the office staff to be very short, not particularly welcoming or kind. At first, I felt well cared for by Dr. Zaander. She diagnosed me with a rapidly growing fibroid and we decided immediate surgery was my best option, to remove both the fibroid and my uterus. She did the surgery. It was quite serious, I had to have a c-section due to the fibroid's size. After several months of recovery, my healing was slow and I had alarming symptoms. I started doing some research and came to suspect that my bladder had been damaged by a surgical tool during surgery and that there was hole in my bladder-called a fistula. I brought my concerns (using the word fistula) to the doctor's attention in both an email AND during an office visit. She refused to to admit that a fistula could be possible and kept saying "give it time" and "keep doing kegels" and was dismissive of my concerns. She tried to rush through the appointment until I INSISTED that she refer me to a bladder specialist. A week later, the specialist diagnosed a fistula after a five minute exam, and that's when Dr. Zaander abruptly ended all communication with me. After that first surgery, I suffered for nine months with the fistula before I could have corrective surgery. I've since talked to two other people who have had negative experiences at this office, feeling like they were not listened to. Had I been taken seriously, I would have nine months of my life back. I missed a lot of work and suffered needlessly because a doctor didn't want to admit error.

I can't say enough good things about Dr Zaander and her entire team. I never feel rushed or talked down to, or like any concern that I might have is trivial or invalid. Choosing an OBGYN is an extremely personal decision, and one that can be very nerve-wracking for a lot of women because it does place you in such a vulnerable position. Yes, Dr Zaander's bedside manner is a very welcome change, not just for those of us who have been getting our annual exams for years, but she is also the perfect doctor for anyone who is feeling nervous about going to their very first visit, or even those who might have a lot of anxiety about the overall experience in general. Her calming nature is guaranteed to instantly put each and every one of her patients at ease, both old and new alike. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr Zaander 100%!

Being my first pregnancy, she took the time to answer all my questions that came up during pregnancy and I was able to get in quickly to see her when I had a concern in my last trimester. I had a private doula and Dr. Pew was very collaborative and took the time to explain things when as I would come to appointments with many questions. I understood the different roles of a doula vs. OB and Dr. Pew took the time to listen to me and talk with me about different options and her recommendations. I felt heard throughout my pregnancy and fully trusted Dr. Pew expertise and medical care during my pregnancy. Sadly Dr. Pew wasn't available for my birth, but I still had a positive (unmedicated) birth experience with Dr. Stewart on her team. Dr. Pew also took the time to stop by the next day and when she was on call to meet my little one and check in on how things went. I look forward to my continued OB care with Dr. Pew and future pregnancies.
